We weren't sure what we would face when entering. It was crowded but there was a table for 2. We were very happy and surprised. Owner, Dee Dee gave us a good time and great food. Breakfast of veggie omelet and French toast was very satisfying. Ingredients were fresh and meals made with care. Loved the home made hash browns. This was the perfect place for us to celebrate a breakfast over Memorial Day weekend. Patriotism abounds with red, white and blue decor. We enjoyed our conversation with Dee Dee and learned a bit about the business and the wealth of tourists who pass thru town. Last weekend she had visitors from Siberia and France. The map with pins on the wall is a testament to those who pass thru. Hard working and friendly people make this a well run business. This won't be for everyone, you can't please everyone, but keep an open mind and enjoy the experience and homey food.

They understood the assignment! Simply put: good service , good food. All my husband I want is a simple breakfast that is well executed. The prices were decent and the cook gave us our crunchy potatoes like we like them. Love that it is homey and the locals drift in for that all American diner feel.

We had breakfast here one morning on our road trip. There was a bit of a wait for a table and they asked us to sit outside and they'd come get us. The food was pretty good but the hashbrowns were a bit mushy. Otherwise it was a good breakfast :) They gave me 4 slices of bacon so my husband helped me finish those :)

Overall great breakfast spot. Enjoyed the pancakes and chicken fried steak. Coffee was not great, but did the job. Staff was friendly, and place was kept clean.

    Fun signs on walls.

Great service. Terrific food. Fun homey atmosphere ( ambiance) . We really enjoyed our meal. We sat by a map that has pins for each place people have come from and hand made drawings from customers. They have some great signs ( I've included some pictures)

Amazing food and fast service. Prices aren't ridiculous and portions are large! I will be back.

When I returned the bistro was closed for remodeling. My husband and his mother tried them while I was gone- he got the polenta fried crab cakes and said they were just ok, which is weird for him because he loves crab cakes. That didn't change my mind about wanting to try them. I was very happy to hear of their reopening, so when my brother came through town they were the only option I threw out there, haha. (Well besides groundlings pizza) luckily my SIL was sold when I mentioned chowder- they don't live on the coast so it's an extra special treat to her. She and I both I went for a bowl of their clam chowder and a side salad, my grandson ordered the kids fish and chips with a root beer, my husband ordered the grilled crab cakes instead of fried this time with a bandon brewing cranberry cider, and my brother ordered the fish sando with garlic fries. The clam chowder tasted very basic to me, it was good but not the best in town as they claim. I generally try the clam chowder first at every seafood restaurant I go to, it's kind of a thing, I just love chowder. Theirs was made fresh, nice and thick, has tons of bacon which my SIL loved. I could take or leave bacon in chowder but when I take it I'd rather it be crispy bits sprinkled on top rather than soggy bits cooked in. The focaccia bread that came with it was super soft and made fresh, I just wish it came toasted or grilled. The side salad was very tasty with bleu cheese dressing and house made croutons. The fish was a hit with the kiddo. Locally caught rockfish. Delicious with their tartar sauce and a squeeze of lemon, I tried one of the thicker pieces. Yum. He didn't like his fries for some reason. He shook a little salt on them then dipped a couple in catchup but ultimately left them behind. I didn't try them. We had to ask our waitress for the root beer that didn't come out with everything else. No biggie. It was busy and there was only one waitress for the dining room and patio. We weren't in a rush. The grilled crab cakes were underwhelming and bland to my husband. I didn't try them. The Bandon brewing cranberry cider is delicious, they serve it all up and down the coast. If you have a chance give it a try. The fish sandwich (cod I believe) was giant and my brother devoured it and was very happy with the tartar sauce and garlic fries as well. My SIL loved her chowder and salad and mentioned how she wished she could get her focaccia to come out as squishy as theirs so I assume she liked that too. Overall a good lunch and we will definitely be back. There are several other dishes on their menu that I have my eye on but my husband and I agreed to come back on a night when they are serving their cioppino! Can't wait. I think it comes with the grilled focaccia too.. squee!

Walk in on 4th of July to the entire place packed and a pizza just coming out of the oven, everyone has multiple pizzas.. I try to order to go.. nope sorry pizza oven isn't working. LMFAO. Or when they want you to eat there and keep drinking their overpriced booze. Either fix your pizza oven, upgrade your disgusting black fingerprint and gunk covered white standing fridge that everyone can see when ordering or tell your customers you don't want their patronage and aren't making anymore pizzas for the night. Be honest. Place has been reported to health dept for unsanitary practices in the kitchen. It's truly disgusting. Also the main bitch up front always is bitching about being there, bitching when an employee calls out sick because she has to work longer, or bitches that anyone else that works there doesn't know how to do shit. It truly is SO off putting for anyone to come in and feel like they can enjoy a meal or themselves. Especially anyone who isn't from this town and is visiting or passerby's.. it's not welcoming. Find a new job if you don't like what you do. NOONE is making you stay there.
