The day of the work, the workers came on time, were super nice and explained everything and answered all my questions. They were supposed to do a number of repairs including fix my damper. They unfortunately said the damper couldn't be fixed but they were able to close it and I don't plan to use the fireplace, so they removed the charge whereas other companies might have charged me just for getting it to move enough to close fully or tried to talk me into replacing it. They simply presented the options and their costs and said I could decide later if I decide to use the fireplace. The workers were neat and clean, worked efficiently, and the chimney looks brand new after their repairs. After the work, I was cleaning leaves out of my gutters, and thought I saw some cement dust that had blown into the gutters during the work and was worried it could turn to cement in the rain and clog my gutters. I called Martin and he sent his workers back the next day to clean it up. He told me actually it was not cement dust but some debris from the roof but his team kindly cleaned it out anyway to assuage my concern-- truly old fashioned customer-centered values which is rare in this day and age. Laurie, a super communicator and troubleshooter, comes to the rescue. She has a few things to ask the tenants to look for, identify and test. She narrowed down the problem all via email and text. Once the inop part was identified, it was ordered. As soon as it arrived, Laurie called our tenant directly to make an appt for installation. Between Laurie and our (fantastic) tenants, they pretty much took care of things between just the two of them . . . all we needed to do was provide payment. This is so, so appreciated and valued as landlords who were unable to be present at the property at the time.
