My wife and I were visiting her mother in her new place and brought our dogs as we usually do. We have a 60lb pit and a somewhat anxious 10lb toy Australian Shepherd. While we stepped out of her apartment for awhile without the dogs, the little one lost it. Usually when we visit they had access to the outside and to roam, but this time we had the dogs locked inside. Unfortunately the little guy was so nervous or angry he actually pulled up the carpet from the door edge and tore it to shreds for about 1" by 6". On top of that he pulled it back probably about 2 feet and absolutely destroyed the foam underlayment. This unfortunately also is an apartment my mother in law just moved into, so naturally I wanted to repair it asap. He did the work quickly and left it looking as good as new. I really appreciated the way he was able to send me before and after pictures and send my the invoice via PayPal since I live several hundred miles away. I needed my berber carpet stretched as it is a few years old and started having small creases in it. Nick gave me a high level quote over the phone and we scheduled the appointment. Upon arrival, Nick was very professional and had a warm and friendly personality. After reviewing what work was needed, he reduced the price as the work was less than he originally estimated. Expert Job! My wife and I just finished a 7 month, 2 room and hallway remodel on our house and needed to finish it with new carpeting in the hallway. I posted some pictures to give you an idea of the complexity of the carpet installation. My wife and I design, chop, sand, prime, sand, install, sand and paint the baseboard moldings to a glass finish. I was very nervous that a carpet installer would damage our moldings, stairs, or flooring, like the Home Depot carpet installer did when we finished remodeling our master bedroom. I found Nick from Gold Coast Flooring on Yelp and selected him due to all 5 star ratings. Nick placed cardboard against the molding when hammering the tack strip into the concrete floor, so as not to accidentally hit the moldings. He also pre-cut the carpet corners so there would not be too much pressure against the molding paint when fitting the carpet to the floor. We purchased Karastan carpet at $96 a foot and got enough of it so that there were no seams in the traffic path of the hallway. Nick took his time and did a perfect job. I was particularly impressed that a young man had the skill and patience of a 30 year pro. I cannot recommend him strongly enough. Thanks for a most excellent job Nick. Months ago when my parents were moving into their new house and they decided to leave our Maltese in the guest bedroom while they went back to the old house to get more boxes.
