I did as you suggested, Traci, and checked the paperwork you provided. It reads, "Scrape/oil prime & paint garage door." The doors were previously painted in 2009. After almost 15 years, the paint had deteriorated and faded in some areas. However, it was not subject to the cracking and lifting that occurred within a few months of Gold Star painting the doors. And you gave me no indication either in writing, or verbally, that this was likely to occur or to become a perennial problem. The bad news is you're probably going to have to wait a while to get on Gold Star's (Traci) schedule. There's a reason for that: everything else is good news. We have a fairly large modern stucco home with a matching wall all around the property. The house and walls had the usual cracks and flaws that develop over the years. Traci's team started with a thorough power wash, then patched the cracks and dug the dirt away from the house and walls. It's this kind of prep that separates the good paint jobs from the mediocre. The team was punctual, reliable, and kept everything clean. Maybe most importantly, Traci is a licensed painting contractor and carries full insurance coverage. I contracted Traci to paint the interior of my home before I moved in. I had a general idea what I wanted but she was amazing the way she helped with different hues of the same color.
