Decided to try this spot out after work. Immediately had to pay before my husband and I received services. Fine, some massage places have been doing that. The lady started on my husband first. I checked the time and it was 4:55. I waited for about another 10 past the hour. The lady with my husband kept going in and out of the room to speak with other workers. My husband fell asleep and all the lady kept doing was massaging his head to keep him asleep. She left the room and came back a few minutes later and began to wake him up. I even asked the lady who was massaging me if he was done because the time was 5:45. I know that is 10 minutes before his hour was done but if you take in consideration all the times she left to handle whatever was going on outside of the room she should have made up for it. The lady who massaged me finished at 5:55 when she clearly started after 5:00. As we were leaving of course they expected a tip. The tip is provide a full service and don't try to cut time or not complete a full body massage just because your customer is sleeping. Also, if you leave the room for other than getting a hot towel and have to handle other business don't skimp on your customer's time. I definitely will not be going back. Went there in search of a foot massage. The front desk lady told me that I should get a full body massage. $10 more. But regardless, I wanted my feet rubbed. She said no. So we headed to my car and started calling other places. Everything was booked. But Within 3 minutes of our departure, the front desk lady come to my car and told me to come in. The place was empty. A little creepy too. Lots of flashing strobe lights. Anyway one woman started my massage and midway through switched out with the front desk lady; who was terrible. Oh well. I went to this place and was greeted by a lady, I think she's the owner. She politely asked me "how long do you want for your massage?" I replied "one hour." She then led me to the room. It's a very private, clean and comfortable room. A few minutes later, my masseuse walked in. I told her I wanted a hard and strong message. I visit Golden A Spa since 2010, but this year. They are a lot of difference. I feel so good about their massage skills. One of the massage therapists who name is Jason has very good attitude and skills. One massage therapists told me that they have a new owner since this year 2012. I think this is the reason Golden A Spa has better services than before. And they have FREE jacuzzi, steam bath, sauna and table shower; these relax me a lot before I enjoy my massage. We just walked in at about 11am and they took us right away. I don't know the name of my husbands massage person but my gals name was Yuki and she was amazing! There was no need for speaking anyway. I got an hour full body massage. Everything was clean and quiet an Yuki was very attentive. I still love the great price of $40 for the hour and I can't wait to go back. If this business thinks that the best way to drum up business is to flier their neighboring businesses parking lots over and over and over again and in the RAIN, then the only thing that comes to mind is that they have no respect for the community they are in. The fliers have ended up on Kearny Mesa Road, Clairemont Mesa Blvd and Kearny Villa Road...on the ground.
