I absolutely love the is place. I use to think that they only existed in certain areas. But boy oh boy was I happy to hear that this place was near and dear. I always get the half beef and half chicken large bowl because I typically have leftovers which by the way are still as tasty the next day! I definitely recommend them if you enjoy a delish chopped up teriyaki bowl. I'm obsessed and always have been. Good shit ya'll! The service is always a bit more introverted. But still pleasant and quick to get that meal out. I appreciate that. The place is small and clean. I feel the place doesn't have too much of a feel to stay around and eat but I usually grab to go. Came here with a friend that has been coming here for almost a decade and he recommended it so I came and ordered the Teriyaki Beef & Chicken bowl which only comes in a size large if you want both proteins. There's some competition here for sure since there's a Panda Express right next door as well as a Blaze pizza and even an ONO Hawaiian spot which are all good options. There's isn't much space inside but enough space to order and wait I guess. Maybe 4 tables or so, but only enough space to comfortably seat two people eating at each. Couple tables outside which we ate at and had a couple people even ask us if it was worth the price. Teriyaki Chicken & Beef Bowl + Drink: $20 3.5/5 the portion size is okay but only because they give you LOTS of rice. I ordered their house pineapple juice and it wasn't that great. Teriyaki Beef: 2/5 dry and lacking flavor, would not order again. Teriyaki Chicken: 3/5 good flavor but extra teriyaki sauce is needed I'd take my business over to MOS2 on Lincoln instead of coming back here. Told my friend the same thing but he's been coming here for years so it's all he knows. I'm sure when I bring him to MOS2 he will change his mind. This review is strictly customer service. Food is good. I went in at 8pm on a weeknight and they close at 9pm. A lady and her son had ordered and wanted to dine in. The worker told them they start cleaning up at 8:30 and made them feel unwelcome to dine in. Brought their food in a to go bag and made them feel rushed and didn't want to give them extra teriyaki from the bottle. The young guy was pretty rude and bothered by the fact that they wanted to dine in an hour before they close. My first time here,  this place was busy with people dining in and door dash orders.  Place is simply decorated.  It was like a simple, no frills kind of place.  The guy was polite and helpful.     We ordered: Large beef bowl, no green onions, and sesame seeds -   This was a huge portion and enough to feed 2 people. Large beef with shrimp - This was a huge portion as well.   The shrimp was nice and crispy.   It didn't need any sauce. It's sad to see a Buena Park staple be so good and then fall off when the Mexican workers left. Place works with zero urgency and it's always AT LEAST a 40 minute wait. While Golden Bowl looks pretty unassuming, it's my favorite place to get a teriyaki bowl! My go to order here is a chicken teriyaki bowl with avocado. It's a pretty simple meal but they do it so well here. The teriyaki sauce here is so delicious and I feel like the creaminess of the avocado compliments it well. If you like spicy food, adding Sriracha to it enhances it even more. Overall, my husband and I agree that Golden Bowl has one of the best teriyaki bowls we've ever had and we've been returning customers for about a year now. My only complaint is that the meat to rice ratio can be a bit better, but it's also not the worst. The store is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The store itself is pretty small, but finding a seat has never been an issue when we went. It's super casual and no frills here in terms of ambiance. Service here has always been friendly. read more

New owners, same food. They're fully staffed but still always frantically busy. That said, they also have a hidden sign AWAY FROM THE REGISTER to show a 3% charge for using card. I wanted to thank their staff for sending out massive portions to feed myself and my kids. The service over the phone as well is great, they are very polite and make sure to repeat your order so you know its correct. We like to get the large chicken & beef bowls. 2nd time coming to this Teriyaki spot in BP and I must say it's pretty darn good! I've been on a search for a good Teriyaki place and I think I've found it. It's located in a busy area and finding parking can be a little tricky. First time I went it seemed busy and people kept coming in after another so that's a good sign. Also the staff were very friendly and kept it professional. I ordered the Teriyaki Burgers the first time I went and it was very filling and saucy burger. Second time I went I ordered the Half and Half chicken and beef plate with veggies and my husband ordered half and half chicken and shrimp plate. Both very filled and very filling plates! First off what happened to the other employees?! The lady had great service and got things done better and quicker. Under new ownership. I loved the previous ownership so I decided to try Golden Bowl with the new ownership. Nothing has changed internally or really externally. They have a chalk board outside with promotions and I believe you are now allowed to use the restroom in the back. Very nice and friendly staff. Wait to order on a weekday night was not busy but they had a lot of pick up orders. We ordered 2 large chicken and beef teriyaki bowls, so each bowl with tax is about $12.50. We did not add vegetables or avocado, but you can for additional costs. Waited about 10 minutes for our food and it filled to the top and hot. I would say it's not five star food, but I've had nothing but 5-star experiences with them through door dash. Meat and beef are always good, but for some reason their rice is my favorite part.
