Came here with a friend that has been coming here for almost a decade and he recommended it so I came and ordered the Teriyaki Beef & Chicken bowl which only comes in a size large if you want both proteins. There's some competition here for sure since there's a Panda Express right next door as well as a Blaze pizza and even an ONO Hawaiian spot which are all good options. Large beef with shrimp - This was a huge portion as well.   The shrimp was nice and crispy.   It didn't need any sauce. It's sad to see a Buena Park staple be so good and then fall off when the Mexican workers left. Place works with zero urgency and it's always AT LEAST a 40 minute wait. It was a HOTTT day! We lost power where we live so we took a drive in the A.C We got hungry and stopped by Golden Bowl. We walked in and the guy told us Cash only and that they had lost some power too. Everyone was Hot but they still cooked us up some good food. While Golden Bowl looks pretty unassuming, it's my favorite place to get a teriyaki bowl! My go to order here is a chicken teriyaki bowl with avocado. It's a pretty simple meal but they do it so well here. The teriyaki sauce here is so delicious and I feel like the creaminess of the avocado compliments it well. If you like spicy food, adding Sriracha to it enhances it even more. Overall, my husband and I agree that Golden Bowl has one of the best teriyaki bowls we've ever had and we've been returning customers for about a year now. My only complaint is that the meat to rice ratio can be a bit better, but it's also not the worst. The store is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The store itself is pretty small, but finding a seat has never been an issue when we went. It's super casual and no frills here in terms of ambiance. Service here has always been friendly. read more

They close at 9:30 today (Sunday), and the restaurant has a sign at the register that says the dining area closes 30 minutes prior to closing. I have yet to eat at this establishment so I could not tell you how it looks inside. However they never disappoint when I door dash their food about once a week. I wanted to thank their staff for sending out massive portions to feed myself and my kids. The service over the phone as well is great, they are very polite and make sure to repeat your order so you know its correct. We like to get the large chicken & beef bowls. 2nd time coming to this Teriyaki spot in BP and I must say it's pretty darn good! I've been on a search for a good Teriyaki place and I think I've found it. It's located in a busy area and finding parking can be a little tricky. First time I went it seemed busy and people kept coming in after another so that's a good sign. Also the staff were very friendly and kept it professional. I ordered the Teriyaki Burgers the first time I went and it was very filling and saucy burger. Styrofoam containers (are banned in the state) are used for both eating in and takeaway depending on the dish ordered. They have a chalk board outside with promotions and I believe you are now allowed to use the restroom in the back. Very nice and friendly staff. Wait to order on a weekday night was not busy but they had a lot of pick up orders. We ordered 2 large chicken and beef teriyaki bowls, so each bowl with tax is about $12.50. We did not add vegetables or avocado, but you can for additional costs. Waited about 10 minutes for our food and it filled to the top and hot. I am a BIG fan of the Golden Bowl in Covina, and was totally excited when I saw this Buena Park location. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't stopped. I feel like this is the Golden Bowl's pirate-ugly sister that I agreed to take out based on one well executed good angle selfie. The teriyaki chicken burrito is nothing like what is served at their sister store. I had to ask again- "You guys are affiliated with the Covina location?" The answer was "different management but same owners". Well this burrito was just a shadow of its twin. The Danny Devito to Covina's Arnold Schwarzenegger. Teriyaki chicken was fine, nothing special. It included a generous portion of wilted hot lettuce and slices of American cheese. That's right, you heard me. There was Kraft singles on my teriyaki burrito. To top it off, it was both smaller and more expensive than its counterpart. Yikes. Do yourself a favor and skip it. I feel bamboozled. read more
