The salad sauce looks super messy
    Julia V.

Sorry, this place only gets 1 star from me, but I gave it 2 stars because the woman working alone was nice! This place is super messy,if you want to say it correctly, it's 'dirty'. I've never seen anything like it. It was small and poorly maintained. I'll never be back! Thanks.

The food was great! So yummy and so fresh! Different types of meat, tempuras, salads, are so good The owner was super nice ! Must go for yummy bbqs!

Tonkatsu (panko breaded fried pork cutlet)

As a self proclaimed katsu fanatic, I can say with confidence that this place is bomb.com. The tonkatsu was lightly breaded and fried perfectly...tender yet crispy. The highlight (for me) the katsu sauce. Tasted homemade and even had ground toasted sesame seeds on top. I don't know what Covid has done to other restaurants, but I get jipped of sauce every time I order a katsu. Not only did this place drizzle their delicious sauce on the katsu, they even gave me an extra container without me asking. Also the udon, sushi rolls, bulgogi, techi bulgogi, kalbi, etc. looked dank and their prices are reasonable, portions large. It's a mom & pop and just do worth a try.

Bento with spicy pork and sesame chicken

    * I love their sesame chicken and the cabbage almond salad * I like supporting local businesses and this is one you should give a try. The restaurant is small with about 7 tables, but most people order to go. They have bentos, salads, teriyaki bowls, noodles and also have party platters. They deliver but you have to order at least $25 or $35 ... I need to double check that. Overall, the owners are nice, the food is always consistent and the prices are fair.

Eel unagi bowl was solid! Nice sized portion with fresh avocado i will be coming back

There prices are not what they charge you, I've been a loyal customer for so long and since they been under new management you can tell the huge difference in the environment and food. I asked the lady why she was over charging me and she couldn't even give me a answer. Horrible they lost a good customer

The kimchi, kkakdugi (radish kimchi), and gat kimchi are absolutely delicious. I heard that the owner makes everything in-house, and you can really tell how much care and skill go into the food. The staff are also incredibly kind and welcoming every time I visit. Galbitang (Beef Short Rib Soup) - This is honestly the best galbitang I've had in both OC and LA. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the beef is always fresh and tender. Whenever I'm craving galbitang in the OC/LA area, this is the only place I go. Yukgaejang (Spicy Beef Soup) - The amount of ingredients they give you is amazing. I've had it both dining in and as takeout, and it's consistently delicious every single time. It's perfectly seasoned, and has just the right level of spice. As much as I love the galbitang, I think I actually enjoy the yukgaejang even more. Pork Cutlet (Donkatsu) - This place is known for its galbitang and seolleongtang, so I wasn't expecting much from the donkatsu... but why is it this good? The cabbage salad dressing that comes on the side is seriously addictive. The portion size is huge, there's no way I could finish it by myself. It has the crispy texture of Japanese katsu, while still having a great pork flavor of its own. I honestly think this could be considered one of their signature dishes. If you're looking for authentic Korean comfort food with generous portions and warm service, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I'll definitely keep coming back!

There is a small lot out front for parking, and I suspect you can park on the street when the lot fills up. We happened to come by during the Korea vs. Mexico game, and understandably, the place gets packed, with a line forming outside. We somehow beat the rush by about 30 minutes and were seated at a table as soon as we entered. We also realized then that they didn't have the all-you-can-eat option, so we ended up ordering the chicken wings, their version of loaded fries, and steamed rice. We also placed the order via the QR code. We had our drinks delivered to our table shortly afterward. The food, however, was taking a long time to get to our table. It may have been a combination of the FIFA World Cup and a staff shortage, but when we were there, there was only 1 kitchen staff member and 1 wait staff member. The lady on the wait staff did everything from serving food to accepting new customers and topping off water for all the tables. A wall separates the restaurant; there is a front room and an inside room, and both rooms had televisions broadcasting the game. The food itself was decent for the price that they charge. The chicken wings came out piping hot, crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. They have some options for different wing flavors. The fries were also delicious and well-fried. I hope the restaurant invests in more wait staff because there were times we needed something from the wait staff. Seeing how busy she was, or sometimes she's just in the front room, we haven't seen her in a while to get whatever we needed. Overall, it was a good experience. The food was good, and the atmosphere is very unique; it's definitely a nice place to get some Korean street food when you're in the area. The only things to note are that parking is limited, food will take a while to cook as it is made fresh, and there will be some waiting to be done if you need wait staff. Last thing to note: I love that they had some Korean Fusion dishes, and I wish I had a bigger stomach to try these as well during our visit, perhaps another time!

I love that you order off their kiosk which is conveniently located at the table already. The staff was quick to bring out the banchan. To start, we shared their leek pancake and pork blood sausage. For my lunch I went with their cold noodles since it was a cold day. The people I came with had some pork spare ribs, which came with rice and bone knee soup. And a bibimbap. The leek pancake was the best thing there. The pork blood sausage was more of rice noodles rolled up with pork blood flavored. I can't imagine it being much portion. Eveything else was bland which we all agreed to. For my cold noodles I added plenty of vinegar and mustard but it was not it. Still lacked flavor. Also it only had half a boiled egg and two verythin slices of beef. The pork was over cooked, dry, and lacked flavor. The bibimbap was also bland even with their red sauce. We we were all disappointed. The pricing is affordable. The staff was nice and quick. They made sure to check up on us. Parking here is a tough even though it was a weekday. Firstly, parking here is tough. In all my years coming here, I think there was only one time where I was able to find parking in the actual parking lot. If the lot is full, I normally park in the neighborhood next to the restaurant or at the CVS (about a 3-min walk). The quality of meat here is very good. You have a good amount of options to pick from. Personally, I am a huge fan of beef belly, so I tend to order that every round. One of their items is called "Mr. BBQ" and it is very good as well, and has a great marinade. The banchan is also very good, and they give a lot of different types, more than I've seen at more KBBQ and Korean restaurants. One thing they don't have on the AYCE menu that some other places have is appetizers, but that is okay. What sets Mr. BBQ apart from other places is the service. Every time I have gone the service staff is always so attentive. They are quick to refill any banchan, quick to take more meat orders (and bring them out quickly), and very quick at replace the grill when it gets dirty. I have never had a bad experience with service here. Overall, this is one of if not my favorite KBBQ place, and I get excited at any chance I get to come here.
