My previous reviews are still accurate. Their chicken isn't as good as it used to be, it's chewy and kinda dry without the teriyaki. The sushi, on the other hand, has only gotten better. I like getting the combo that has both and realize now they give much less chicken than before. Their ramen and yaki noodles are ok, I prefer the yaki over the ramen but neither are bomb. I've never tried the burgers. I keep going because of the variety of options and it's close to my house. The owner is pretty nice too. read more

I've been loyal to the same few dishes here for 10 years. I used to go to the savanna high school around the corner and walk here after school. Service is usually fine. The owner gave me a hard time once but other than I love the chicken soba yaki plate so much I will always be a customer. Can't find it anywhere else. Love the crunch rolls and teriyaki combos , beef and chicken. And for some reason the little salad is great. Highly recommend the Teriyaki plate combos, as they are delicious and fill you up. I typically get Combo B; their sushi is pretty good. However, other than that, their other food that I have tried are not worth it: -Bacon Cheese Fries: cheese came out hard instead of melty and few bacon was on them. Doesn't look like the pictures they have up in their store -Burgers: Overpriced and tasted average. This place has surprisingly good sushi considering they serve burgers and other things which kinda threw me off at first. I've been getting their baked salmon roll for years, kinda miss when it was still under $15 but I will always support this business. The employees are very nice too. I absolutely love this place. The food is delicious and everyone's so friendly even the boss gets behind the grill. I placed a large order and he was making the food because his cook was out of town. You could tell he appreciated our service but also he appreciated his cook. He was all smiles and so was the beautiful young lady who took my order. I vowed to give a tip next time because I didn't have any cash on me and the owner refused and simple requested a review which was good as cash to him. We have been on the search for the best ma and pa burger joint in North Orange County. teddys cafe is right up there. The ABC burger was fantastic great bun, perfectly cooked burger and plenty of cheese and toppings without being "too much". I had the bbq chicken fries as well, they were fantastic. The service was great, the young lady that assisted us was friendly and helpful she talked us through the menu and made us feel very welcome. The ambiance and space was ok, not uncomfortable but room for improvement. It was pretty clean for a burger joint. Will be back to try the teriyaki. read more

I haven't been here in a couple of years because my experience was not good the last few times. I went here a few days ago just to see if maybe they have gotten over their problems. Nope. After a very long wait for my food, I found the burger to be very regular. It's small and unappealing. The tomato was fresh and large and the star of the show... the rest of the ingredients were an afterthought. The fries were not warm, and obviously not cooked to order. The bowl was ok according to my partner. But he also added he wouldn't order it again. Also, the dining room is in chaos... there are sketchy people stumbling in and out, kids running around with no obvious supervision, lots of noise and it doesn't look very clean. I can take care of myself, but it's not an environment that supports an almost $30 simple take out meal for two. They could do much better. read more

My first visit here. I was underwhelmed by the dated visuals. Looked like a business that takes money out and does not put money back in. I bet nothing in the dining room has changed in many years or decades. Incredible this place serves sushi as its the trashiest sushi restaurant ever. The skateboarders in the only booth were discussing their criminal and probation cases. I got the ABC Burger and my friend got the Kyle's Burger. Both were $11.99 and were very good. A high end place could serve these but the restaurant would be MUCH nicer. The combo was $4 more which wasn't worth it cause their old 1970's drink dispenser had just 5 sugar soda options. Ordered the $5 fries . Lots of unseasoned and overcooked fries. With the smallish size of the burgers you needed fries to get full. Both much smaller than the monster burgers in the photo section BTW. Not worth the money. read more

This place has a little bit of everything. Menu isn't crazy long, but it has various categories of food, like burgers, fries, tacos, burritos, sushi rolls, noodles, and rice bowls. From the pictures everything looked so good, I couldn't decide what to order. I wanted to try something from every category, but that seemed like a daunting task. I ended up getting the Kyle's Burger, Tri Tip Taco, and Beef Teriyaki combo (Combo C). The burger was massive. At first I thought it was just the fries that made it look big, but the patty itself was a decent size too. It came with a half pound Angus patty, American cheese, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, avocado, fries, and chipotle BBQ sauce. It was too big to take a bite so I took the fries out of the burger and ate them separately. The burger tasted fine but tasted pretty standard. Tri Tip Taco was good but very small. My order came with three tacos but I was still hungry afterward. Ingredients looked normal but the salsa was really good. Each taco came with smoked trip tip, grilled bell peppers, onion, pico de gallo, provolone cheese, and cilantro, on a corn tortilla. Beef Teriyaki combo came with four pieces of CA roll, four pieces of crunch roll, and a small salad. The beef was sliced thin and flavored well. The rolls tasted like any other CA roll or crunch roll, but they were a good size, and had more filling than rice. It's a fast food/take-out joint, so don't expect much in terms of service. I'm not quite sure how to rate this place at this time so I'm giving it three stars. It has enough variety to make me come back, but not too many items are as unique as they look. It's located in a busy shopping center with Subway, The Scratch Room, and few other businesses. Parking is usually horrific, unless you come during off hours. read more
