I always forget that there are restaurants on the side of the shopping center, but today I felt like driving around saw Teri-Go, so I chose it. I liked it. When I went in, no customers were in yet, so it was quiet and peaceful. The gentleman was really nice greeting me as I came in and the lady was also really nice. A couple more people rolled in after me, I think more will be in now that it's lunchtime. I got the salmon with California rolls. It's really tasty. The salmon was cooked well, a little crispy and moist, it fell apart with my fork, I love my salmon like that. The salad was tasty, not too strong on the dressing and tasted fresh which was a nice balance with the sriracha I had on the side. The California rolls were simple and classic and delicious. The time I'd came in, it was a pleasant time to know no long lines for lunch. A welcoming place, I wasn't that hungry so when I asked & referred to small plates the only option given were bowl plates. So I ordered a chicken bowl, extra well-done and extra shop. As I'm turning to check where i would seat my plate was ready. Obviously without my request, at this point I was already upset. But I decided to forget it, and proceed with the taste. "Maybe, I was judging ahead." I knew she ignored my instructions. I've tried it; so I went to tell her my concern and she laughed. Last minute lunch by myself and I enjoyed being able to sit down and eat. Very clean tables, friendly and the food is great. I had the Chicken Teriyaki bowl over white rice w/Broccoli, carrots and cabbage. Just the right amount of nice sweet teriyaki sauce. I also had the side eggrolls 3 in an order. I really want to enjoy this place but I am just not used to their style of teriyaki marinate or sauce. This place is great for foodies who don't enjoy teriyaki on the sweet side. The portions are pretty generous and chicken is cooked well. It just didn't hit the spot for me. As for the beef teriyaki, I thought the beef was on the dry side. It tasted more like moist beef jerky. From the reviews, this place seems like a local favorite and I am like 2 cities down in Buena Park. Korean owned family restaurant :) the lady at the cashier was so kind and seems very appreciative of your business. Prices are honestly so fair compared to what you pay at all of other places these days. I stumbled upon this place accidentally when I was starving and needed a quick meal. What a great find! The chicken is not dry at all, and beef is flavorful. Normally I never eat the side salads that other places give but I ate all of mine and stole some from my dads plate as well. It's so refreshing, the lettuce is not wilted, and the sauce is light and flavorful (addicting). I don't even like California rolls but i always order a side of it, something about it from here ... yummy. This place is sort of tucked in and hidden around the side of a plaza so many may not even see it but give it a chance :D read more

If you're eating clean, this place is great. Staff are kind, place is clean, food is well priced and taste exactly how you think it would.

So I don't really do too many reviews, but when a place sucks I make sure I let others know. Likewise, if the place is phenomenal I'll drop a kudos. What I can't figure out with this place is how do they get 4 stars. The food is nowhere near a 4 * rating. Service and amenities aside, the food was just no good. Unless I'm getting a relapse of some COVID taste bud issues (which I never got); the chicken was very sub-par and the beef was thin as many reviewers have said and lacked any flavor. As far as teriyaki sauce, they supplied a very tiny container and what was already on the plate was very thin and baked in sparingly. Even the salad they provided, the leafs looked old. This is simply my opinion I really did not like the food. Processed paper thin beef no taste over cooked. Chicken old warm dried. Rice over cooked clunky and I only ate a few bites and threw it away. Owners, I suggest go to Westminster Mall Food Court and try their teriyaki bowls. Fresh chicken beef similar but better cooked and perfectly cooked rice. Teriyaki bowls seem to be a recent trend, and in this certain area there are about 4 just across the street from each other. I was on the look for teriyaki bowl, but not a fan of the more popular places. So Yelp I went, and I found this hidden treasure. Prices are unbeatable! (paid $10 for a plate with shrimp, beef, and chicken). Food is delicious! The meat was overflowing and the salad was dressed perfectly. The teriyaki sauce had the perfect amount of sweetness to saltiness, chicken was perfectly cooked and not dry, and the shrimp had the perfect amount of char. My only tiny complaint was the cut of the beef, but it was still delicious. Place was clean Staff was so friendly! I love little businesses, especially when ran by a husband and wife. It's a small Korean owned teriyaki place, get's pretty busy during lunch time so call in your order or you will have to wait. I've tried most of their teriyaki bowls/plates and mostly order the cali roll set with chicken teriyaki. The teriyaki is good and ingredients taste fresh. The owner is very very sweet and accommodating with giving me recommendations of what is popular to try here. 5/5 for customer service since she always greets me by my first name and has me smiling even on my tired days. The food here is also always made fresh. My popular go-tos are the chicken with cali-roll entrée and the teri-go plate. The teri-go plate is huge portion filled to the lid with different proteins. Also, apparently my coworker found out that I frequent this place often and ordering catering from here for the office on my birthday. Great little mom & pop teriyaki shop. I've been trying to find another teriyaki spot that doesn't serve dry/burnt meat, and I think I've finally found the one! The chicken and steak tastes fresh, veggies aren't soggy, and the salmon was good also. They have lunch specials and free miso soup (until they run out.) This place is a small family-owned teriyaki business. They seem to get more to go orders than diners. The place is small and clean, and service is ok. We ordered 2 plates - 1 for my husband (shrimp, chicken, & beef) & 1 for me (chicken & beef). I wasn't too fond of the noodles, so I'd recommend sticking to rice or veggies. We had more than enough food for our family of 4. So I think the next time we'll get 1 plate & 1 bowl. The food was good but not that good plus it irritated me the on line prices were not right and in store prices wires much higher. I told the lady she needed to update the prices and she just said Oh yes those are outdated indicating she was aware of the inconsistency. I came here expecting California Teriyaki Grill, only to find out it had been closed down and Teri-Go had opened in its place. I decided to give Teri-Go Teriyaki a try and I am SO glad that I did! I would choose to go here over Flame Broiler, Waba Grill or any of those Teriyaki chains for several reasons. It's family owned so the staff was extremely friendly and helpful... especially during the ten minutes it took me to even decide what I wanted since everything looked/sounded amazing. They did not make me feel rushed at all! In fact, they gave me recommendations and were willing to customize my teriyaki bowl to my liking. I ordered the Chicken teriyaki with all veggies (instead of rice) and miso soup. First of all, at most teriyaki places I always find the chicken to be very dry or tough and I have to drench it in sauce for it to taste good. At Teri-Go, this was not the case! The meat was SO tender and I did not have to add any sauce at all. Not to mention, the portions are very generous and you definitely get more than what you pay for. It comes with veggies. It is less than 6 bucks. I always add a heap ton of scallions and a little extra teriyaki sauce. So. Friggin. good. Also they sell fresh kimchi here. It seems homemade to me so i am totally diggin it. I just picked up some cucumber kimchi yesterday with my meal. I think it was 3.99 for the kimchi.
