    Crispy scallion pancakes
    Annalisa P.

I've always seen this advertised in Spring and passed by it for work, but my PT coworker suggested we go out to lunch. I was craving Chinese food, so she recommended it. Their lunch specials are $7.95. They don't charge extra for non-white rice options. Rare. They have white, brown, and fried rice. The meal also comes with a vegetable or pork egg roll. I had the General Tso's chicken. I asked for fried rice, but they gave me brown rice, possibly by accident since my coworker ordered it with her meal. I didn't complain and ate the brown rice. Everything tasted great. Large portions. I had leftovers. I had to try their scallion pancake since that's my favorite. It wasn't as scallion-y, and it was pretty oily. There are a bit of scallions inside, too, but not much. The concept was different, which the waitress explained. You put a smear of hoisin sauce and sliced scallions on top, then roll it. I'm used to dipping it in soy sauce, but the hoisin flavor was good! The place was empty during weekend lunch, but they were preparing takeout orders. I'd order or eat here again.

Came here with some of my family from dinner and some items were really good while others were a little bit off. Additionally, we had two servers, one who was very nice and the other would yell as she came to the table. I'm not sure if she just wanted to be sure we heard her but it was a little off putting. I ordered the ramen and a couple pieces of sushi. The rame was decent expect for the noodles. They were way overcooked and just mushy. The raw sushi I got was a little fishy tasting which made me glad I also got eel. The whole table kinda felt the same about their meals parts of it was really good but then there was something a little off.

The food average is reasonably priced. The fare is standard Asain comfort food. The service is spotty at best. Located on a strip mall .ample parking.

This place is a hidden gem!!!! I am so glad I drove past. I've been here for almost a year and have yet to find decent sushi in the immediate area. The sushi was fantastic, fresh tasting and the sushi rice was perfection. I did a pick up order but the interior is very inviting at first glance and the decor is simple and tasteful. Looking forward to going back today to sit and experience the service! Edit : Okay finally got to dine in. The bang bang shrimp is delicious!!! Breaded and crispy! And I told them to surprise me with a roll with Eel in it because it's my absolute fav and they came back with this work of actual art! I couldn't eat it because my dumb self forgot to add that whatever it is couldn't have cheese in it but holy sh*t it smelled DIVINE. The staff was cracking me up the whole time. I think it's a mother and son? Or maybe an aunt and nephew hahaha he was a young man dragging his feet around the place but he was SO sweet and attentive. Sushi rice was perfect for the second time!

Golden bowl sizzling with fried rice

This place is the best Asian cuisine I've had in town. The service was great, they were very attentive and nice. I highly recommend this place! It's the best food I've had in a while. I got the golden bowl sizzling with fried rice and it was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend got the spicy Tonkotsu ramen and the broth was amazing. They also have the best Lo mein beef. Again highly recommend! Will definitely go back again!

i love getting the ramen it's very very yummy. the host/server is so friendly and enthusiastic. the setting is very nice it's giving modern but home made

Food is delicious and fresh! They have the best bang bang shrimp, wonton soup & beef/broccoli!

sesame tofu with fried rice!! it was SOO good! I come here almost every day haha, love this place and staff.

I love coming here. Their food never disappoints. In the 5 years I have came here, the service and food always exceeds my expectations. I have brought countless friends here and they have all enjoyed their experience. I usually get the sesame tofu with white rice or the Lo mein, either way anything You get here will be 10/10. As well as service will always be 10/10 and greeted with amazing kind servers!

Tried this place out 2 days ago, staff was friendly and attentive. Salt and pepper steamed jumbo shrimp w/ snow peas $12.50 Pepper tuna sushi 2 pc 2.50 Smoked salmon sashimi 3 pc $7.50 Smoked salmon sushi 2 pc 2.50 Sweet shrimp sushi 2 pc $8.00 (4.00 each) My aunt enjoyed her shrimp plate. And the sushi was good. Wasn't a fan of sweet shrimp, this was my first time trying it. They only had lunch specials on sushi. I wish they had lunch specials on the other dishes as well. But it was still good. Will be back but I'll probably have to pay next time. It was a bit pricey for two. $50 including tip.

Everytime I come here I enjoy great meals for a good price and great service. They always refill my water pretty fast when I'm done with it and I leave this place with a bigger stomach cause of how good the food is.

While the service at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant is friendly the food itself is not fairly average. We ordered the Triple delight and eggrolls to share as we tend to order too much food when trying a new spot -- a major disappointment absolutely no taste, meat, rice bland. if you are looking for authentic flavor profiles, distinct savory sauces, or consistent spice levels, this is just standard, run-of-the-mill takeout quality. It is not decent for a quick, budget-friendly lunch special, but it is certainly not the best in town. The first time, I simply made do with what I received. This time, I contacted the company because several items were incorrect. The gentleman who initially answered the phone was sweet as pie and tried to assist, but unfortunately, he didn't have a resolution for my issue. Shortly after we hung up, I received a call from someone who stated that he was the owner. He was initially very apologetic, and I sent him pictures showing what I ordered versus what I actually received. He explained that DoorDash posts the pictures of the food, not his company. He offered to refund me for two items, but I explained that I still wasn't satisfied because the one item I did receive was room temperature at best. At that point, the entire order was essentially a loss. When I asked for a full refund, I was told that I needed to return the food. I explained that the food had already been delivered, so I wasn't sure how I was expected to return it. That's when the conversation completely changed. The owner accused me of trying to get money from his company, said I was manipulating them, continued making disrespectful comments, and ultimately hung up in my face. That part bothered me more than the incorrect order. Mistakes happen. Food gets mixed up. Orders can be prepared incorrectly. I can understand all of that. What I don't understand is making a customer feel as though they are dishonest or trying to take advantage of your business simply because they are asking for a resolution to a problem. At the end of the day, my family still didn't have dinner, I paid for an order that was not properly fulfilled, and the biggest concern seemed to be defending the business rather than providing customer service. I genuinely wish the outcome had been different because I try to support small businesses whenever I can. But customer service matters especially when something goes wrong. How you handle the mistake can leave a much bigger impression than the mistake itself.

When we finally got seated we weren't asked What would you like to drink or this is our drink menu. It was-Water,right,right,Ok brb. So we had water just like the rest of the people in there. Also weird how they don't have any drinks on the menu or let you know about options. Could I have asked for something else? Sure but again waitresses were just all over the place it was crazy. When we ordered and others food was coming out we realized what big portions they give you. BTW just 'cus it's big portions doesn't mean This food is about to be the best Ive ever had. The food- We got some shrimp plate and we were told it was spicy because it has peppers and peppercorns which would numb your tongue which it was just basic shrimp dish. Only good or cool part of it was eating lotus root which Ive never had before. We also ordered the "special" house beef noodles and I don't see the hype or why they're so special. The only crazy part was the noodles length. Which honestly made it hard to eat. We ordered the duck which came with the soup. The soup was made from scraps. I think if they had added more duck and not just scraps it would be my fav thing of everything we ordered. Will say it tasted like chicken soup. For the duck. It wasn't as crispy as people made it seem to be. I expect idk a more gamey flavor to it and all I kept saying is-This taste like pork carnitas. Idk why we got treated than the table behind us. We asked for to go just like they do but they just gave them their to-go plates like Here ya go and they put all of our food in our to-go for us. Would I go back? So I did a search for Chinese food on Yelp nearby and voila! Noodle Kitchen we shall try. Now the ratings overall are good, but interestingly the vast majority of the reviews within the past year are all 5 stars. How is that possible? Could this place really be that good yet I've never tried it? The curiosity is killing you, I know. So let's dive in. Parking is always a big deal for me, and in this case, parking was no problem. It's a big parking lot with basically unlimited spots as it's in a large strip center. So far, so good. We arrived on a Saturday around 11:30 am hoping to beat the lunch rush - mission accomplished. We were the only ones there. Whenever I try a new Chinese restaurant that offers xiao long bao (AKA soup dumplings AKA XLB), I gotta try it. So we did. And it was excellent. The key is to suck the soup out of the hole on top. And If there is no hole, make one with a chopstick, and you won't spill the precious soup out of the dumpling. They also brought out the special XLB soy sauce with ginger. It was wonderful. Next we gotta get the beef noodle soup. And oh my, dare I say it: it might be the best I've ever had. Call me crazy, but don't call me crazy until you've tried it yourself. The broth was so rich and deep in flavor. I absolutely loved it. Zoom in on my photo. You'll salivate. The hot oil spill noodle was good but not great. I wish the noodles were hand-pulled like I'm used to (I'm spoiled, I know), but it was still good. And lastly, the crispy spicy fish fillet was quite good but a bit pricey and small in portion. The fish from Dumplings and Noodles by Cooking Girl is better, but the fish here is definitely something I would order again. So there you have it for food. Overall - very impressive and I would definitely come back and drive 45 minutes just for the braised beef noodle soup. The service was also really good. There was one older Asian lady who took care of us from beginning to end and she was great. Lastly the ambiance was surprisingly pleasant. Restaurant was spacious, clean, and they even have claw machines for entertainment. The big wonder is, for a restaurant so good, where are the customers? It was quite empty for a Saturday lunch, and we only saw a few to go orders while we were there. This is Spring's well-kept secret when it comes to Chinese food. Enjoy!

In a place like Houston, where you can get authentic Vietnamese food, this can be a luck draw if the fusion pays off. However, when I tried the food, it was a very flavorful and worth every cent I spent. Everything was very tasty. The wings were flavorful and crisp. It had a combination of crispy skin seasoned with a rich sauce. The meat was also moist. For a party of two, it was also very shareable because they gave six pieces -both drums and wings. I will say that you really gotta to get in there get your hands and face dirty though! (They did provide a hand wipe!) For the main dishes, the won tonic soup was very flavorful with sweet-and-sour elements with egg noodles that soaked up all this good flavor. The wontons inside were very standard. And the onion was added to provide some balance. Everything was very hardy and filling. My friend had gotten the vermicelli. Which came with crunchy egg rolls, shredded veggies, noodles, and shrimp topped with a fish sauce. It felt very light and refreshing with a balance of textures and savory elements'. Highly recommend as the number one and two selling dishes - it would just depend on if you're in a soup or dry noodle sort of mood. Service was overall fast and friendly. You have to pay by going to the counter. We had a newer waiter though, and it took him a long time to get our orders correctly and he had to get some help. Hopefully they're doing well, but overall, it's a very cute Homie little establishment. Seating fits around 30 around booths and tables.
