Went there today for the first time for dinner with my wife. The restaurant was quite and pleasant and we were seated quickly without much wait. The waitress at first was not very welcoming but as dinner carried along she was polite and prompt. I ordered the orange chicken and it is hands down the best I have had. The portion that was served had lots of chicken with plenty of flavor as well, but the fried rice was a bit bland and didn't have any vegetables or egg added with it. Overall the food tasted great, the restaurant was pleasant, service was great, and the price for two at dinner was reasonable. I will be returning in a month or two for a second review. read more

Wow...and not in a good way either. It's my first time here with my family for lunch and it will be our last time. The food is okay, nothing special. The reason for this review is the customer service. We had ordered a tiger roll as part of our order and first off it took quite a while to come out. As in my dad was almost done with his food by the time it came out. When it did come we started eating it and realized it didn't seem like what we ordered. We looked at the menu again to see the ingredients and noticed that what we had been given was the tiger eye roll. Ok fine, it sounds similar so I understand how the mistake happened. However, when we brought it to the waitress's attention she insisted it was the Tiger Roll. I even pointed out the ingredients for both Tiger Eye roll and Tiger Roll to her on the menu and she still insisted that it was the right roll. I asked to see what she put down on her pad and she had written Tiger Roll. I pointed that out to her and all she asked was if we wanted to add the right Roll to our order. I asked her if we would be charged for both rolls and she said yes. After a bit more back and forth she grudgingly offered to give us the right Roll and take away the charge for the mistaken roll. All the while saying that it was our mistake because she announced the names of the sushi as she set it down. We were deep in conversation at the time and heard Tiger and Roll so... Smh. I usually write reviews for places that gave a good impression but this customer service sucks. Then, at the end the manager came by our table and tried to make it look like our mistake. Wow! I've recommended several coworkers to this place because my first impression was good. Now I'm regretting it. I only order the shrimp fried rice. The shrimp are huge..the rice is moist and flavorful. They used to serve much larger portion sizes (I still have the containers). Buyer beware....please note: I ONLY ORDER SHRIMP FRIED RICE. I love the food, prices, and service. It's nice inside, not what I was expecting from the area it is located in. Sushi is my favorite, and the meals are pretty good too. We found it thanks to our fellow Yelpers. Worth the 15 minute drive from our Hotel and we will definitely be back. Broccoli and Beef was delicious. Orange peel chicken is some of the best I have ever had. Just the right amount of heat and sweet. Definitely a place worth trying! read more

Skip the sushi here. Ordered three rolls togo and the rolls were tiny.. barely any rice or fillings. I literally could have eaten 6 of these rolls myself, but it would have been a ridiculously expensive meal and not a great one. The rice was seasoned poorly and the toppings haphazardly applied. They keep our drink glasses and hot tea pots full. The 5 of us had Mongolian chicken, Lo Mein, create your own stir fry, Sushi, and scallops/shrimp. The soup comes with the entree and the Wonton is so tasty that we were asking each other if there was any left. Warning: we ordered Fresh Spring Rolls (non fried), edamame, and pot stickers for apps. 3 of us took 1/2 our entree's home since the portions are generous. This place is so nice for being in this strip center, it's surprising when you walk in the front door. I had the peacock shrimp which was basically grilled shrimp with some veggies in a yummy sauce. The soup in free at lunch and it was the BEST egg drop I've ever had. I could have eating a gallon of that stuff. They have a sushi bar that I will be visiting next time. If you're just driving by you really don't think much of this place from the outside. Once coming inside, it's actually really quite nice looking. We had 2 waitresses. 1 was really quite nice, the other was a little rigid and cold. The first thing we were told was that they provide free soup to start out with. The wonton soup was amazing. The hot and sour and the egg drop weren't that great. The sushi here was ok. The pieces themselves seemed a little smaller than what I usually see at other restaurants. The shrimp seemed tiny!. The sweet and sour chicken had a flavor like the chicken had been in the fridge/freezer for a while. The order of shrimp fried rice was small, but delicious. Came to the Golden Bowl for the first time. I started off with the Texas Roll and it was very delicious!! I would definitely be ordering that again. I had the Beef a la sezhuan and it was a bit on the sweet side and spicy at the same time. It was good but will look for something different next time. Just had dinner here for the first time with my husband and siblings (with the recommendation of my parents and siblings who've been here multiple times since they've opened) And I will definitely be coming back again. Great, fast, and friendly service. The Shrimp Bang Bang was delicious as was the Spicy Scallion Chicken and Walnut Shrimp. My husband ordered the Szechuan Beef which was okay, a little too heavy on the ginger in my opinion. The soups, which are free right now, were flavorful. Tried the miso and egg drop. OOOOPS! 2 weeks later I took the coupon back to pick up an order and was yelled at that I could not use it, even though the owner acknowledged she gave it to me. (exp. 1-31) I do not want to have to argue over $5 when I could have good Chinese food delivered. Had to wait an additional 25 minutes on top of the 15 it took me to drive there.
