I usually get a 4 piece tender meal, but today I got a 6 piece Wicked wing, 3 plain and the other 3 with " A Lotta Zing Spice" with Fried Okra. This was so good! It was very crispy and crunchy, and the taste makes you crave more. I'm a big fan of Okra, and I love how they do theirs every time at this location. This is definitely my favorite store location vs the other locations I've had in Waco. It's always a small wait, my food is always fresh, and the customer service is always great. Five Stars for Exceptional Service, the food was very good for chicken take-out. I was not in the greatest of moods when I arrived at Golden Chick but that changed fast. I had just left your competitor, without placing an order, because they were rude and did not believe in basic customer service. It was so refreshing to meet Richard who took great care of me, explained the menu, and completed my order quickly and accurately. When I got back to my room the food was tasty and I felt so much better. Thanks for the great food and thanks to Richard for taking care of me. read more

The one good thing I can say about this place is that the food was good and it was clean in there. The bad thing was the customer service. The girl at the register didn't greet you and she walked off. I had to wait for her to turn around, so I could place my order. She finally asked if I was ready to order. They were out of roasted chicken and salads. I ended up ordering chicken tenders with mashed potatoes. I got my drink, went to fill it and their ice machine had been down since the day before. I hate hot fountain drinks, they should have figured a way to have ice. I could of understood it better if it was closing time, but it was only 3:30pm. I wish I would have waited to get closer to my house and order at Bush's. read more

I ordered online, went through drive thru to get order at the time they said it would be ready wasn't ready had to pull up and wait for the order to be carried out to my car. I checked the order before leaving parking lot and it was missing part of the order. Got home with the order the chicken tenders were cold like they had been cooked for a long time and the rolls were almost hard had to microwave them just to make them half edible, was not a good experience. read more

This is the 3rd time since I've eaten here when they opened... and I am afraid not much has changed. I truly wanted this to be a positive turn around post but unfortunately it's not. Chicken still tastes soulless kinda like they hit it with 2 shakes of salt from 20 feet away. Gravy still runny and still clumps of gravy powder. They must have got their ice cream machine from McDonald's cause it was broken. They proudly have wifi displayed on the door with a sticker and yet no WiFi. My order was served to me wrong when I asked for it correct I was given a response of well she did not tell me.. I don't find myself eating here again. VERY DISAPPOINTED! If I could have picked a negative number, I would have. We came here for lunch to the Bellmead TX location on 11/29/22 at 12:35pm and there were NO chicken tenders, 1 wing and no dark chicken pieces. We ended up ordering the catfish. I asked one of the employees why they weren't prepared to satisfy their customers. He first said he didn't get what I was asking. I said, "Your a chicken place without tenders or wings". All he said was the night shift didn't take any tenders out the night before and to get wings, I would have to wait at least 20 minutes for them to make them. The owner/manager was real obnoxious. It was a basic complaint from the customer who ordered before me and then I followed. I watched as the Manager gave the customer his order and the customer went to take the order, and then said this is the wrong order. This manager told the customer he would make it fresh but I watched him take the food he had already boxed up for this customer and dump it back in the heating food bin for the next employee to fill someone else's order. That's a NO for me... Ask anyone that works with food or has a food handlers lic. You can't fill a order take it to a customer and then if they don't open it up think you have the right to dump it back in the food bin to fill someone's else's order.. What's wrong with you Golden Chick!!!!! All I asked is for is a refund of my $65 family order that we were still waiting on after 20 min. I would have just left no problem, not even making a big deal but when the owner/manager comes up to ask me why I want a refund? I could tell he wanted to argue out loud for the whole dining area to hear. It ended with him challenging me to call corporate!!!' Really??? You have gone way too far... I went through the drive thru at 4:40 p.m. on Monday, the 28th. I had to wait to order. I then waited 30 minutes in line for a three piece tender and 3 piece catfish. I was told it was the fish taking so long. This is the second time the service has been really slow. Not sure what is going on at this location. read more

The assistant manager at this particular location very rudely told me I had to get a mask after I forgot mine before she would let anyone take my order even though I had already been in the store for at least 5 minutes and someone was already standing there ready to take my order... I would have went to get my mask if she hadn't been so rude and on top of that she wasn't even wearing hers correctly! Didn't cover her nose and she took it off at one point. I will tell everyone I know to not go to this Golden Chick. Rude and quite arrogant assistant manager...not ideal for a business to treat their customers like that but they have lost my money and a lot others now. read more

Ordered through the drive-thru. Food order was correct and reasonably priced for amount of food you get. My husband & I liked the corn nuggets a lot & I liked the special sauce they have. The fries are battered dipped, which are high in calories, but tasted really good. I am only giving 3 stars because of lack of flavor for the fish, chicken, and coleslaw. But you do get your money's worth and customer service was polite, so we may try it again. read more

This is the 3rd time I have visited this restaurant & it will definitely be my last. I have had poor service each & every time & the order has not been correct. Today I ordered the catfish platter & asked for coleslaw & tartar sauce. I also ordered a six piece tender meal with mashed potatoes. I did not receive any tartar sauce nor did I receive any cutlery to eat the coleslaw or mashed potatoes. My chicken tenders were cold & I only received 5. i had never tried golden chick before, and it was 9:50 when i got in the drive thru. i ordered 2 4-piece tenders, with sweet teas and french fries. when i got up to the window it was about 9:56. the lady told me that one of the boxes only had 1 tender in it. she asked if i wanted legs or wings. because it was close to closing and she didn't want to get all the shit out. i said ok, not trying to be rude. when i got my food, in one of the boxes, she gave us rice instead of french fries. and i got the box with the legs. i don't like legs. i was very disappointed. i don't understand why i get different treatment than the rest of the customers throughout the day, jsut because the workers are lazy. i'm over it. i'm still hungry. the legs were disgusting, and i only ate the fries and the roll. fuck golden chick. wouldn't recommend to anybody. go to bushes. read more
