Well, that stunk. Old, cold, barely edible chicken. The tenders were so old and tough, I'd almost think it was rooster meat. This was the worst chicken I've had in the FW area and I sure wish I'd read the reviews before I ordered. Mash potatoes cold, poppers old and tough as well. Pitiful, just pitiful. And the two boys working were just barely aware of my presence, not even close to "attentive". Order missing all requested condiments. Currently waiting on an 8 piece and order of corn nuggets. It has been over 20 minutes and still counting. I heard the catfish was a little known secret. Well, the quality of the fish was good, but it was cooked in old oil for too long. They just put the greasy fish in the box and didn't even include a napkin or plastic ware. Perhaps lack of attention to detail is because this location is also a gas station, but regardless a lousy experience. Older Golden Chicks usually have great food, with some newer locations lacking on taste and quality. With this Golden Chick being around for a while, they've got the taste down pretty well. Their Spicy Chicken Strips + gravy are what I come back for each time. Now they've packaged their Lotta-Zing (Spicy Seasoning) in a bottle and now I can have the taste whenever I want! Hehe. When you do order the Spicy seasoning on the chicken, be sure to check it to make sure it's there.. this location forgets to do that a lot. read more

I was in the drive thru ( only 2 cars I front of me ) and after waiting 30+ minutes to arrive at the window.I paid & waited and additional 8 minutes for my actual food.Normally a good delivered order would had made me forget about this wait time .I'm not one to expect perfection but to say they missed the mark would be generous of my part. The rolls were hard , the Okra half filled . HALF FILLED !!!. You're robbing me of my money when the "service "is ok but the actual food servings aren't what they're supposed to be and the rolls are hard. Yesterday, I ordered 30 chicken tenders. The guy taking my order told me if I wanted to wait around, they'd make fresh ones since what they had was getting old. Great! Then I get home and the ones on top are perfect and fresh, but the bottom half were dark and tough - must have been in the warmer a long time. I took the old ones back late that evening (I was tied up all afternoon and evening with other things) and all they did was write my name on a piece of paper - that's it.
