Bo-berry biscuit in the white container on top. In fashionable bag to flex on everyone who did not just secure bojangles
    Daniel L.

While a surprising number of trials and tribulations shaping Cyrus Goodman were ripped straight out of my own life, the Perfect Day 2.0 episode is my "Groundhog Day" since I always try to recreate my perfect day once I find a new "perfect day" routine that just works, and the second time around always goes to pot. I spend a lot of time in DFW on bidness but I am usually handling said bidness so it is a rare trip when I have free time. I had that on one bidness trip last year where I was in my Charlotte FC shirt shortly after the Charlotte FC/Miami CF game, rope dropped at Six Flags, and was offered the divine mana of the US and A's furthest west outpost of Charlotte's own Bojangles. I had my one opportunity of the year the other day to recreate my perfect day in DFW. It did not go to plan. Rental car agency had an insane racecar available for me, check. I was in my Charlotte FC shirt, check. Rope dropped at Six Flags, check. Freeze was broken down as always, check. First ride on Batman, check. Second ride on Giant, check. About 90 minutes deep in the park by then. Briskly sashaying over to Titan only to find Titan closed for the day with even the not-temporary sign out and chain barring entrance. Oh Neptune. This is where Perfect Day 2.0 went off of the rails. I stopped at the nearest 7-11 outside the park to cool off with a slurpee, check. But the blue flavour was out of service so I had to settle. Thanks Obama. At the 7-11 when I was googling the Bojangles address (oddly not favourited) to confirm which exit on the 183 I learned there was another Bojangles even further west than the old one I visited in Euless last year. Rather than continuing on with Perfect Day 2.0 that was not going precisely to plan between Six Flags and 7-11, I called an audible and decided to head even further west from Euless so I could update my Bojangles-related boast that I had now been to the furthest west locations of Bojangles in both 2024 and 2025. Gotta catch 'em all. This location in Beford is also off the 183 but on the correct side of the road if you are heading into Fort Worth, rather than the Euless side that you need to be heading back into Dallas for it to be on the correct side of the road. That's right UK gentlesirs, we're driving in The Colonies these days. The building looks sparkling new. The inside does too. Judging by reviews this place has been open for about two months and it shows. The drive thru was moving slow so I parked and moseyed on in. I was surprised to see there was nobody manning the register. You have a direct line of sight into the kitchen behind the register and the cook staff were clearly overwhelmed, so were the drive thru girls. The one teenage boy working front of house was doing the work of at least four different people to serve people dining in, clean up tables, cook food, and then take orders at the register. And he was astoundingly kind and friendly. I was brilliantly impressed that this teen boy was doing the work of four people and was kind and friendly, you know how rare that is. His name happened to be Daniel so it was easily memorable for two reasons. Bojangles corporate should set Daniel up with everything he needs to be running the company in ten years or less, since that is the kind of experience that makes Bojangles stand out this far from Charlotte as an option people actually seek out. My Perfect Day 2.0 was salvaged since I had arrived on a day they had the bo-berry biscuit. Daniel let me know it would be a few minutes for him to warm it up so I waited over by the biscuit window. When he delivered it to me he let me know it was hot and to be careful. Like one of Tolkien's goblins I quickly retreated to my racecar to eat it in peace whilst listening to my Las Robertas. At a base level, your Bojangles experience is going to have solid food. The one in Euless last year had spicier chicken than what my normal is in Charlotte, but that milkshake was off of the chain. The chicken at this Bedford location was appropriately spiced for Charlotte tastebuds (toothpaste is spicy, fight me) so the food was, for Texas standards, far above average than Euless comparing the fried chicken and mac and cheese as apples to apples against Euless. But then you mix in the bo-berry biscuit and it is game, set, and match for the Beford location over Euless. It is perfectly moist, lightly drizzled with the frosting, and tastes not only of home with actual blueberries utilised but it tastes like it was made with love. Actual foodies (not internet trolls) know that you can be authentically excited by, and genuinely support a fast food company. Anthony Bourdain unironically loved In and Out. Bojangles is that for me. The fried chicken fast food space is dominated by the homophobic company, the dishonest one that pays for fake reviews and social media marketing rather than above prison-grade food, and other scandals. But not my Bojangles. Try the bo-berry biscuit, instant day brightener.

Food was great. And it was a good price. Service was perfect. And there is a cool patio.

I number 11 combo lunch was good. The place was clean and service was OK could be a little quicker. But I'll definitely go back.

It is good southern food. We have eat at many southern states locations. We were disappointed at this location to find out that they do not serve ham here. The southern ham biscuit is the best. This location needs to step up their game and on the ham!

I read…read moreother Yelp* review of Juicy's, and was dying to try it, so I checked their hours and headed over around 2PM in the afternoon. When I arrived, there were no cars in the parking lot and it looked closed. I went up to the front door to see if there was a note but all that was posted there were their normal hours. Based on that, they were supposed to be open. Not a good start. I posted about this on Facebook, saying it looked like they were closed for good. A friend of ours replied the next day that she had moved down the street from Juicy's and she saw the restaurant open for business that day. I headed over again and they were open. Soul Food, Comfort Food, Home Cooking, whatever you want to call it, that's what they're serving at Juicy's with a large side of FRIENDLINESS. I grew up in south Texas, so a bowl of pinto beans with a piece of cornbread is a meal I love to this day. However, I was craving chicken, so I ordered the chicken plate (you can specify 4 wings) with mashed potatoes w/brown gravy and pinto beans (of course). Have you noticed that most dining out today is underwhelming? It seems to me the restaurants are using cheaper ingredients. Everything tastes bland. BUT NOT AT JUICY'S! The meal hit the spot for me. The wings are "whole wings," meaning there are no "drums" and "flats." Each wing at Juicy's is BOTH PARTS. It's the whole wing! I was full after just three but Bonnie grabbed the last one to "keep it from going to waste." (I think she was keeping it from going to MY waist...) The beans reminded me of my mom's pinto beans. The brown gravy on the potatoes reminded me of my grandmother's gravy at Thanksgiving. The cornbread was almost like cake. Even the music was great, featuring R&B and blues. We found ourselves humming along to the music as we feasted on the food. We're definitely going back.

I must say my absolute favorite is the fried chicken those wings hit a part of my soul that hasn't been explored since my grandma was making chicken. Not to be out done the pork chops and the turkey wings were absolutely amazing. Don't sleep on the sides as those greens and yams are all seasoned great so I know somebody at least in their late 40's back there with some blessed hands. With this being my second trip in 2 days there's no doubt I will be returning fairly often to try the other dishes. What a great find PS Don't forget to get some Kooliad.

What I wasn't expecting was for the food to be so bad. I ordered the hot slider with fries. The driver thru worker asked if I'd like Dave's cheese sauce on my slider. I asked, "Would you recommend that?". "Absolutely!", he responded. I take my food and pull off to the side for a quick lunch. First off, there's so much "cheese" on the slider that it is impossible to pick up. I ditch the saturated bun in favor of the knife and fork. Crazy bland, sub 7-11 type "cheese" sauce drips from the sides if an oversized chicken finger. Then it hits you...SALT! Followed by an unpleasant wave of heat. Couldn't decide which was worse as they both simply dominated the chicken. Either way it rendered the slider completely inedible. I chose to forgo the fries. The lady that took my order was very thorough, nice, and spoke clearly. Everyone in the kitchen was working hard and our food came super fast. Our order was completely correct, a first! And when I asked for hot sauce and honey they gave a lot. The food was delicious. The Mac n cheese was so good, it actually had melted cheese baked on top. I would like to have tasted it as their regular sauce is not to my liking. The lemonade did not have ice nor a straw and there was a sticker placed on the lid over the hole for the straw. I removed the lid and used one of my own straws. That was the bad - now for the good. My food was delivered hot. The chicken was very good as were the fries. The slaw was a bit dry but tasty none the less. The biscuit was also pretty good, but it would be nice if they offered some butter for it. All in all, I will give it another chance because I enjoyed the food.

Upon arrival and as we entered this little gem I just admit I was worried. It was dead and appeared only one person was working. We learned they only had 4 meat offerings, fried chicken, fried pork chops, meatloaf and fried catfish. We were a bit disappointed when we learned they only had wings and legs for the fried chicken but moved on and placed an order. The dry erase board had the following listed; meatloaf, fried chicken, fried fish, fried pork chops. She did say they offer other things on the weekend. That statement confused me because it was Saturday around noon and the couple had to wait for someone to come unlock the door which implied that they were just opening. The couple inquired about options other than fried and was told that meatloaf was it. One asked if there was pork in the sides. Her response was "no pork at all" and the lady said, " Except the fried pork chops, right?" Well, as you see from the photo, there's pork in the greens. I ordered fried pork chops with mac & cheese, yams, and collard greens which came with cornbread. The only other side listed was cabbage. Lemon pound cake was the dessert offered. I was told my order should be ready in about 20 minutes. I left and went to Starbucks up the street and came back about 30 minutes later and he was putting my order into the bag. I want to preempt by saying give this place a try and see what you think. You may have a different experience. There is construction being done on the street in front of the establishment, FYI. I personally did not enjoy the taste of the food. The yams were okay, but again, the taste just wasn't there for me. The cashier did say that they've only been open a year so maybe it's a work in progress.
