This was, without a doubt, the worst customer service I've experienced at a Golden Chick. When we placed our order at the drive-thru, the employee simply said, "22.71." There was no greeting, no "Please pull forward," and no "Thank you." When we got to the window, she handed us our food and drinks without saying a single word. My husband even said, "Thank you," and she just stared at him without responding. To make matters worse, our order was wrong. We specifically requested no pickles on the sandwich, but it came with pickles. We also ordered spicy tenders and received the regular ones instead. Customer service costs nothing, and a simple greeting or "thank you" goes a long way. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing from start to finish. The food tasted good but definitely was not worth the 40 min wait in the line. I also have gotten very sick after having eaten their food. The customer was a young girl and was perfectly polite while asking this question. The clerk was rude, snotty, and unbelievably dis respectful. I ordered the chicken salad salad because I wanted something somewhat healthy. The rest of my family got meals. We were traveling home to Austin from Taos and got it to go. 8+ dollars and I got a very small bowl of chicken salad and a salad, which looked decent, until I started to stir it up after we got on the road. All of the lettuce under the top layer was brown and slimy, disgusting. If we weren't in a hurry to get home I'd have gotten my money back and given them a piece of my mind. What a waste!!! We waited in the drive thru line for exactly 31 minutes with 1 car in front of us. When we finally got our food, we didn't have any silverware for the sides. The food was hot, but we stopped for fast food, not a 30 min road trip delay with no silverware. I will never stop there again. read more

Terrible food but even worse employees. It's a fast food place. You smile and greet and that's it. you guys are not rocket scientists. Let your ego go lol. The girl upfront who claims she's the "assistant manager" was the rudest person I've seen in Texas by far. Girl.. you work at the fast food place, i understand it may be a very tough job for you but in reality.. my 5 year old can run the joint more efficiently. But go figure.. the "General Manager" named sally is even worse. I understand sometimes you need to stick up for your employees but when your employee is in the wrong you discipline them. Obviously sally over here didn't get the memo when when being trained herself. These employees treat their customers like literal garbage. I would be completely ashamed if I was the location owner. I always enjoy eating here !! The food is great, the place is clean, the bathroom is clean and the staff is very friendly. The cost of the food is a good value for these days. They have TV's to watch and play uplifting Gospel music over the PA. They also have outdoor seating too. Never had a bad meal here !!! read more

Arrived at 8:45...waited about 5 minutes in drive through with no assistance to order. Drove up to window, again nobody came to window. Drove around to front door at 8:51 and it was locked with sign that said use patio door (safety violation?), went to patio door, also locked. Sign said lobby closes at 9, drive through at 10. Looked inside a young lady was giving me a hand signal they were closed while dancing around. I guess they were not interested in serving food. Horrible service, never again...hop on over to one of the other two restaurants on the same row. read more

Golden Chic has great chicken! This establishment also plays Christian music in their restaurant, so that makes it even better.
