They need to FIRE George. The older guy that I think is supposed to be a shift manager or so. He clearly hates his job. He asked how many and we said 9. He grabs the silverware, no plates and walks to a table and throws the silverware on the table & walked off. The server was terrible as well. Always had to go find her for plates & refills & would not take the dirty dishes. During our meal there was a shift change and we cheered for the new server. Younger Hispanic gentleman that was awesome. Seriously though everytime we go there George is always there and rude as hell. He needs to remember if customers were not going there he would be out of a job & no money: a couple years ago I made arrangements with the manager for a birthday party. The manager was out of town the day of the party but George tells me I said this amount of people were going to be here & there was not so he was going to charge me $228 extra. Some of the people at the party came to early and paid for themselves so I told him he could refund them since I paid for their meals then. I told him that I can't go to these peoples homes and drag them to the party @ Golden Corral. Towards the end of the party the assistant manager asked to speak to me. I came in at 1:15pm today I got my food took 2 bites and had to use the lady's room I left my purse on the table so they would know I was still there when I got back the girl was cleaning my table and said next time dont leave your table I said its an all you can eat I'm not allowed to leave my table? Management is more interested in assuring there is room for all customers then considering appropriate seating for those with disabilities. A group of older elderly adults who reserved an area for a breakfast meeting were literally shoved into 3 10 place seating areas with little room to move between the seats. Folks with walkers on oxygen could barely manage to be comfortable. Management was quick to quickly order anyone who dared to sit in an area not assigned were rudely told to move. There is not really anything they can improve, it is what it is, lots of salty, fattening items. But on the good side you can choose salad bar for healthier choices. It's about 25 dollars for all you can eat with a drink. Most places refill your drinks but they don't, I wanted water so had to get up and ask the cashier where do I get water, they gave me some. Nobody around to clear plates, so you have a table full of dirty dishes, gross. The very best part was the cotton candy they make fresh! It's the only thing fresh there. There are too many options of restaurants with great service and cleanliness. I'm afraid I won't be going back. It's a great place for over eaters though. The manager working the night shift on Saturday 9/13/2025 (older male) was the rudest and most disrespectful manager I have ever come across. I arrived approximately at 9:05pm with a party of 20 people. We chosen this place due to closing time was at 10pm. When we walked in he rolled his eyes and asked rudely "how many in your party "? I told him approximately 20. He became irritated within his voice and actions. I asked "what's wrong, is that too many"? He walked away and told another employee to ring us up. While the other employee was doing his job he made another rude remark. "It looks like there's more than 20". I did share that it was approximately 20. I counted as everyone sat down at the table. Where do I start? This Golden Corral was absolutely horrific! First off, $40. for two seniors to eat is a bit ridiculous. You need to realize the quality of the food is not up to the standards you really expect for $40. Recently we had lunch and drinks for two at the Olive Garden for a whooping $35 and it was great. $40 for garbage really bugs me. We decided to go out for dinner on a Sunday evening. I'd say they were at 75% capacity. Service was extremely slow to get our table cleaned. I had to ask twice for new plates. I tried their medium rare steaks. There was white fat throughout my steak. I asked for another steak and got the same terrible cut. Half of each steak was fat, some white and uncooked. Now I waited for about 10 others to get their steak before I went back. But to no avail, garbage in means garbage out. I also tried the Butterfly Shrimp. It was crispy on the outside and undercooked and mushy on the inside. I tried the new tangy chicken strips. They were so dry, I could not eat them. I had more food on my trash plate than I did on the plate I was actually eating on. Now that's a joke in my book. Everything I put on my plate was horrible. Either overcooked or undercooked, no flavor. Most everything was setting out in the warming trays for way too long to be edible. My wife wanted to try the Cobbler in the dessert section. The cobbler tray was empty. My wife asked a woman behind the counter if she might have another tray available to set out. The GC worker just ignored her and walked away. Another employee heard my wife and told her she'd help her. You guessed it, the freshly reheated Apple Cobbler was overcooked and dry. You really need to take a good look at what they are serving their customers. The food trays all had burnt edges of food that was originally served hot. The cold trays had wilting and dry vegetables. As we walked around, you could see this specific GC restaurant has gone in the dumpster really fast. We were last here 1 year ago and even then, the food served was very questionable. But last night ended up being a complete disaster. I'm sad to say we ate a plate or two of food and then immediately left for home. The food was horrific. If you like eating sub-par food, this is your place to eat. I for one will never return. Next time I crave the Golden Corral, I'll open up a can of dogfood. read more

We've been to a lot of eating places through the last 70 years and we have NEVER found a better place to eat than at the Golden Corral in Twin Falls, Idaho. You can not beat the price anywhere for the variety and quantity of different foods available at price they are asking for the meal. All you can eat steak, shrimp ! ! True, they do get extra busy at times when bus loads of hungry customers stop in unexpected and the food supply gets a bit low once in a while, but it never takes long for them to get caught up and the buffet is well stocked again. We eat there at least 4 {FOUR} times a week. My wife says it's cheaper to eat there than to cook at home. I don't know if I believe that, She is the BOSS and I just eat. I highly strongly do not recommend ordering takeout or taking home food with you because they charged by the pound and it's outrageously overpriced and not worth it but to dine in, and all you can eat, it's busy loud and hustle and bustle and watch out for the big old heifers, but it's a great place to eat, take your family, and an affordable price. It's starting to become overpriced, but that's inflation, still highly recommend the breakfast hands-down on anywhere or anything else!!! Side notes, They also host Veterans Day meal service, honoring our military veterans on Veterans Day free to any vet. This review reflects the expectations that is a family friendly buffet, known for large quantities of food but nothing super high quality. This is no Vegas buffet- nor does it claim to be. There is truly something for everyone here and it's a great place for a big group. They have a salad bar, fruit, various flavors of fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, rolls, freshly carved meats, pot roast, steamed vegetables, and a fun selection of desserts. It's a fun place, I was very happy with our server who refilled drinks and brought what we needed quickly. We came on a Sunday before the lunch rush (around 11AM) with a fairly large group of about 12 people. Everyone was happy with their lunch, and their was no wait for a seat or food which really makes a difference when you have hangry children (and adults). Again, nothing here is going to blow your socks off "cuisine"-wise, and I'm sure they are hit or miss depending on the busyness. I would guess busy = more freshly put out food options. Visiting a new state, I wanted to try this famous spot. GOLDEN CORRAL! The amazing title for this establishment had me excited for what's to come. If I could turn back time, I would go to my past self and tell myself to not be as excited. To start, I didn't feel very welcomed, employees giving me stanky looks, shaming me for not knowing the drink situation and flirting with my husband. Don't get me wrong, the array of food was unique and different, but it wasn't anything too special. The selection made me overwhelmed very quickly and had to take a seat to calm myself down. To say something kind, the softserve was mediocre at best and it kinda gave me the heeby jeebeez looking at all the exterior gunk. My stomach did feel silly once I had the crazy combinations of food in my stomach and all the food was holding hands and dancing around lol. Unfortunately the night ended bad for me, getting food poisoning, throwing up in my nephews guest bathroom and spending the night sitting in the ER. I saw the Golden Corral in Nampa (not Boise yet) was opening for inside dining again on Memorial Day, so I decided to try and see how buffets work post apocalypse/Coronavirus. I'm glad I went. I have been and reviewed them before, it was never that good. This time a few minor issues/questions but otherwise pretty darn good and very fresh. They should be able to get it fixed easily enough. I was surprised that it was a regular buffet--similar to what it was in the past. Tables have been spread out so that they are maybe 8-10 feet apart in most areas. Nothing is on the tables when you're seated. The hostess brings silverware and your server gets your beverages as well as supplying you with a good supply of plates. They also bring ketchup, salt/pepper, sauces as requested. Since they sanitize everything each time someone leaves, they only bring what you need. Same goes for refills. You use a new plate every time you go back for more of anything. I noticed napkins by each food station that are intended for you to use to hold the tongs or serving spoons. No one seemed to follow that rule. In fact, none of the rules were explained to me when seated. There seem to be many. Kids 10 and under are not supposed to be at the food area without adult supervision. I saw that happen several times anyway. Food seemed to be much fresher, due to small batches put out instead of enough to feed a gang. However, they still make too much at a time so some is cold. Dumping old food on top of new doesn't help either. I witnessed them cook way past well done about 40 oval cheeseburgers (I don't eat cheeseburgers or other run of the mill items at buffets). They stacked them up getting ready for the dinner crowd (?) actually I couldn't say why. It was about 3:30 pm, dinner starts at 4. Several items were never available, enchiladas, sweet potato casserole, etc. There were at least 2 pans of corn out. But I can eat canned corn at home. Still, for the $8.49 lunch price (less for kids), there were plenty of choices. The baked and especially the fried fish were outstanding. Also the pot roast. The fried chicken was good too and quite crispy. I hate that they only had very large pieces (breasts, thighs are generally huge) with everything else it is hard to eat the whole thing. I wish they would cut them in half. The gravy with the pot roast mixed well with the potatoes. Salad bar was nice, especially for someone that hasn't eaten enough vegetables while on quarantine. Desserts were limited to less choices than usual, but the brownies, peach cobbler, chocolate chess pie, and turtle cheesecake all looked nice. I tried a couple bites of the excellent, creamy chess pie. That was all I had room for. Overall, I like the wide variety. BBQ chicken and enchilidas as well as the cucumber/onion salad are on my list for next time. Much fresher than I remember, and if you find something you don't like just move on to something you do. The small batches are a good move and seem to make it easier to keep it clean. That is hard to do with the turnover on food and people at Golden Corral. Prices didn't appear to have changed but no weekend breakfast for now. It will remind you of buffets you've had in the past. read more

Well, I have to admit, when my family insisted that we go to Golden Corral for dinner tonight, I was not happy. The good thing is that I like to eat, and I like pretty much everything, and I'm not above any certain establishment, so what the heck. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the food there was not at all bad. Yeah, some items were just okay, but some things were fairly good. The prime rib was pretty good, and the meatloaf was darn good. Everything else for me was fairly average buffet food. I simply don't find this restaurant to be of value to me. As a senior, I don't eat large portions of food and hate to be charged $16 for one plate of salad, plus iced tea. While what I tasted was of good quality and my server to be excellent, I will not return due to this faulty pricing model. I know many people with large stretched out stomachs probably DO get their money's worth (and maybe then some) but I resent having to pay for other's excesses. Used to love Golden Corral. Have visited in many cities/states. This one is so awful. The food is mediocre at best. The lettuce is wilted and brown in the salad bar. The best part is the cotton candy bags on the dessert table. Super crowded for dinner. Some items were not edible others were fine. It was hit and miss and when that happens you are wasting food. Steaks were super well done as was most of the meat. Pasta was under-cooked. The desserts were good but the lady working that counter did not want to serve the ice cream. She ignored you. The four people in front of me hit the bell and she just went about doing other things. They left realizing they would not get any. I went back to my seat and watched. A big burly man went up and she decided she better serve him so I ran up too. She could not ignore me but instead gave me a tiny scoop not worth waiting for. She does not need to work in this type of place as she has no idea how to make the customers happy. It was messy at the food bar and I think that needs to be cleaned regularly. MY BIGGEST ISSUE WITH BUFFET IS THE TERRIBLE MANNERS OF CUSTOMERS - they constantly lick their fingers and then touch the spoons or eat while picking out their food. It was a dark and stormy night, nearly 9 pm. I was shopping across the street at Home Depot. I hadn't eaten much all day, was quite hungry, and felt faint, actually. While leaving the Home Depot parking lot, I spotted this place, parked, went in, feeling weak in the knees. Never having frequented a "Corral", I had no idea what to expect. I asked a lot of questions at the cash register, before I paid the "entrance fee". It was sixteen bucks to get beyond the starting gate. I got a glass of iced tea at the cash register and got a tray. The cashier explained that they would begin to remove the food at 10 pm. So, I had about fifty minutes in the corral. I found a table, went to check-out the salad bar. It was well stocked, even at this hour. I threw-together a salad, smothered it with Ranch sauce, got some roast pork at the next stall. I picked-out a few French fries, mushrooms too, and returned to my table. The pork clumps were overcooked, dry as jerky. Thankfully, I had all that extra Ranch sauce on my salad, which helped wash-down the dried pork chunks. The same is true of the dried-out, tasteless French fries, and the iced tea was useful to wash-down those. I was so hungry, it did not matter. After I got some food into my tummy, I looked around a bit more, and could not help but notice what this place is "all about" -- "Corral" is quite appropriate and whoever named the place knew what they were doing. I am the first to admit that I'm not svelte by any means. That said, I looked like Twiggy compared to the vast majority of my fellow diners. I realized this is where the obese that waddle amongst us go to get that way or, better yet, stay that way. I began to visualize the long buffet as a feeding trough for the animals in the corral, and watched one 400 pound man go back for more and more food. He reminded me of Mr. Creosote from Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life", and I truly was wondering if he would be able to keep-it-all down. An interesting question comes up: If a bartender is obligated to cut-off a customer who is consuming too much alcohol, why wouldn't a chef be obligated to cut-off a gormandizing customer? The place is a representation of what is wrong with us as a people; we all want more than we can eat. It is a prime example of excess, over indulgence, and waste. read more

What a great find! I usually put on a huge family dinner on thanksgiving, but this year we aren't yet in our new homes so this year we decided to try Golden Corral. And what a surprise! Full turkey buffet, everything from fresh sliced turkey, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes & gravy, sweet potato casserole, several hot vegetable choices, awesome hot rolls with 3 different choices of butter and so much more. It all tasted delicious. The only thing I did not like was the deviled eggs... they were way too sweet. Someone put too much sweet pickle relish in it, I think. Unfortunately I had to toss them. We enjoy this place. We ate here FOUR times during our nine day stay in Idaho. Superb selection on the salad bar, and plenty of meat offerings for the carnivores in my group. (We are used to places like Hometown Buffet where the food is mediocre at best -with some food being horrible).
