There are a few things that you sign up for when you enter a Texas Roadhouse--loud music, a peanut atmosphere, and a lot of people. None of these are necessarily bad things, but they tend to either excite or ward off customers. This location holds true to the company standard. It's always crowded for dinner especially, regardless of the day of the week. For those not wanting to wait for 60+ minutes, making a reservation is mandatory. The food is always a hit here, however. The cooks are generally pretty on par with meat requests, and servers are usually very friendly. Prices vary, but are definitely on the higher end. A solid burger is around $12.50, and the steak hits a tad higher. But, If you're into an energetic atmospheres with lots of people and great food, this place is for you.

Loved the atmosphere and music. Fun for family or group hang outs. Food was great! Bag of peanuts ready at the table. Complimentary fresh-warm buttery rolls with cinnamon butter. They were so good, we had to get a 2nd basket. We ordered pulled pork with sides of steak fries and a cup of chilli. Another order of Fried chicken steak with a side of baked potato. And Bloomin Onion. They were all delicious. Not a big fan of the steak fries, were soggy and greasy. Bloomin onions were amazing, crispy and well-seasoned. Great service from our server.

It has been about a month ago that we visited Texas Roadhouse, and it was so good that on our return to Nampa, we had visit the restaurant again. And it was perfect once again. On our last visit, we were given a card for a complimentary Cactus Blossom...and it was so good. Last trip I had the Rib Eye which was quite impressive. This time I had to try the Prime Rib, and oh my...it was so flavorful. My daughter had the Top Sirloin again and she loved it. The server Sophia was so nice and friendly as well. We had a great time and met Jared Hunt, who is the Managing Partner. Jared has an excellent restaurant in Nampa and his team is delivering.

Great food and awesome service. A bit loud, the people across the table could not hear us without raising our voices.

So, I've always been hesitant to write a review since I couldn't ever make up my mind about either loving or hating this location. We went early on a Thursday night, so there wasn't any wait. After being seated, we were quickly greeted by our friendly server. She quickly served our drinks and our orders were ready as soon as she returned. I ordered the smokehouse grilled chicken plate (2 seasoned chicken breasts) and three sides (house salad with ranch, fries and Mac & cheese) and my husband had the country fried steak with brown gravy, corn and mashed potatoes. My salad came out first with the most fresh lettuce, plump tomatoes, crisp-tender cucumbers, bacon, and large shreds of cheddar cheese. The ranch tasted like a cross between bleu cheese and ranch, was pretty thick, just wasn't my favorite. This was followed by my perfectly grilled chicken, which was exceptionally tender and juicy. My fries were a little undercooked, but that Mac and cheese was truly delicious....and I actually don't really love Mac and cheese (just sounded good). Hubby couldn't stop raving about his steak, a glowing non-stop review. Unfortunately, our server disappeared in the kitchen and didn't return for refills until our meals were almost finished. I couldn't finish my meal, so we had a lot of yummy leftovers. When we were leaving, a manager spotted me carrying multiple containers and walked up with an open bag, offering the bag to me while helping me load the containers inside (so thoughtful!). This was one of the many good visits we've had here.

We immediately felt guilty to even order any drinks and just asked for water, my daughter said she didn't want anything and to save herself the burden, and we also stated we were ready to order. So as to save her an extra trip. We received our food but had no utensils so as our food cooled she brought us utensils. Side note , her other table didn't wait and retrieved their own. While eating our meal a bus person was cleaning a nearby table and knocked the pepper shaker to the floor. She picked it up and placed it back on the table. When I informed our waitress of this she said she would speak to her about it. I thought she would replace the pepper shaker. NOPE! She walked right past it. I don't even know if she spoke to the bus person. If this is how the front of the house is run, I don't want to imagine what goes on in the kitchen. We did not finish our meals nor take any leftovers. We love the Cracker Barrel and have enjoyed decades and multiple generations of meals, celebrating occasions and milestones. Just to note, we have visited a lot of different locations for these events. Cracker Barrel is our go to because it has something for everyone. But if this is the standard they now have, we will have to find another go to place.

It was about 1:45 pm on a Friday, and the place was fairly crowded. We were sat at a small booth for two, not my favorite table, but understandable that they would want to save their tables and booths for four for larger parties. It's very loud, hard to talk, so in tha sense the small booth we were in, set apart from the main seating area, was better for my wife and I to talk. Our server was Yulia, and she was delightful. Very nice, efficient, and attentive. Great service! We both had the classic burger, mine with the sharp cheddar it comes with, my wife sans cheese. 100% Wagyu beef, and cooked very nicely at medium. The bun was large and soft, very tasty and great texture. The fries were delicious; crispy and well seasoned, just great. They have a fry sauce that tasted like it had a bit of horseradish. I really liked it. Prices are very reasonable. In fact, I just had a burger at a nice restaurant in downtown Boise last week that had a smaller patty and bun, and cost $3 more. We will definitely be back to Holy Cow.
