This is the Golden Corral that brought us back to our favorite buffet. We'd had some less than great experiences with food and cleanliness at some other locations and had stopped going for a while. Met some family for dinner here due to location and they brought us back! Place is clean, staff is friendly, food is correct temp and flavors are what they should be. Now if you're looking for a 5 star dining experience go to an expensive 5 star res and pay accordingly. I rate based off the type of establishment. This is a solid choice for a family or large group. I had one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had -- especially at a buffet-style restaurant like Golden Corral. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and helped instantly. I believe they even applied a discount, which was a nice surprise. Even though it's a serve-yourself buffet, we still had a dedicated server -- and she was incredibly attentive. She checked on us regularly, refilled our drinks without us having to ask, and even brought hot tea because it was cold outside. She went above and beyond, even taking my jacket for me. She gave thoughtful recommendations and had genuine conversation about the food options. Nothing felt rushed or transactional. Even the exit experience stood out. I have heard so much about Golden Corral and this was my first time. I went with my sister for dinner to try it out. We were not disappointed. I like that you pay before you sit down so when you are done, you can just leave. The environment was nice and clean. Staff were nice and attentive. The steak guy, he was not our favorite person. He made a lot of people nervous by the way he spoke to them. One girl checked him for being rude to her family then he started being nicer. I did like that he knew some Spanish for those that only spoke Spanish. The dinner was great with variety of food, so many options. We only ate a few things. I enjoyed the steak and their dinner roll the most. With the steak, you see the guy grilling it, you tell him how you want your steak. I had to wait 10 to 20 minutes sometimes for steak to be done. I would have loved to try other foods but I just cannot eat that much. I would like to go back to try breakfast and lunch. The only thing I enjoyed here was the deviled eggs, chocolate covered strawberries, & the salad bar. I always get the baked chicken legs from golden corral but I got them today and they were so cold I felt nauseous after eating them. I came at 3:05pm I would think since it was the start of the hour the chicken would be hot but no. There was some hair on my cold dinner roll. The baked spaghetti was so dry I see why the plate was full when I got my serving. Customer service was okay, one waitress asked if I was okay but I needed a straw for my drink. I wouldve thought the girl who made my drink would've gave me one but no. Just wish I had hot food thats all. read more

absolutely love this location.0Only true complaint is the lack of parents being parents. frequently kids are allowed to run around. to the point parents are not seeing younger kids helping themselves to the desert bar. . The only time I feel safe walking to the bar is when it is so crowded kids can not run up &down the isles I guess Mom & Dad don't care if Lil Johnny or Susie has coffee spilled on them. If parents won't parent I say issue all kids under 10 a leash so that I do not have to be the senior with a broken hip due to their kid acting like the restaurant is a play ground. The service was awful . People were standing around for over 30 minutes for fried chicken , water was leaking from the serving stations where you had to walk around it . The health department would have given them several violations. The tables were dirty and broom and cleaning items were left out by tables . this was the nastiest place i have ever eaten at i dont care if i'm reviewing the wrong golden corral it's all the same for me and i cant find it anymore last october, our school made the horrible mistake of sending like half of our DC tour groups to this buffet place like right after we got off the plane and i swear it was HORRIBLE it was AWFUL and i want to do a petition to DEMOLISH every golden corral because everything was DISGUSTING and tasted over 2 months expired-- especially the mashed potatoes(please excuse my poor punctuation, I realized it resembled the quality of this buffet and will now change it.) On that note, the mashed potatoes tasted like pure starch. Upon being seated, I lifted a plate from the pile of plates and it had what looked like DOG POOP on it. It was either dog poop of a wipe of mud and neither of the two are favorable options for a DINER of all places. Many of my friends told me that the steak guy also got their steak order wrong. Even worse, one of the kids on our motor coach threw up TWICE from the food(one of my friends got food poisoning and I overheard someone mention that almost every single motor coach had someone who threw up after eating from Golden Corral). The odor was TERRIBLE and caused a traumatizing stench which fluctuated throughout the next two hours of a demoralizing Virginian traffic jam which had conveniently appeared almost right outside Golden Corral. Yes, I am blaming this on the buffet. It deserves it. Overall, this is the worst place I have ever eaten at. I will never travel to this area in Virginia ever again. Do not come here unless you want to be traumatized by this six-feet-under level of food that even a starving colonial peasant would not hesitate to refuse. Dinner entrees are not bad for volume food preparation. If you leave hungry it's your own fault. All the employees were working conscientiously in their assigned sections and were busily keeping their guests taken care of. My biggest beef with this place is the outrageous price of a fountain drink, so for that reason and that only, they won't rip me off again ! We don't usually go to buffets, but we did today because we were HAWNGRY! The waiter, Jordan, was cool. He was nice and and attentive. He made it feel a little more upscale. Fried chicken is good. Salad bar had all fresh items. The loaded baked potatoes are nice because you can put the melted cheese and toppings from the salad bar on it too. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Large variety of choices & the crab salad is the best I've ever tasted.

I mean, it's golden corral. Not good food, not clean place. Good service that stayed on top of refills and clearing plates. Yeast rolls and bread pudding were good, everything else was prison food. read more

I literally watched a lady walk up to the buffet and grab 3 pieces of fish with her hands, and put it in a napkin. Good variety of food both appropriately warm and cool as would be expected. The highlight of our meal though was a new server, Makayla. Beautiful personality, very helpful, personable and attentive to our needs. I highly dislike buffets but on occasion I find myself at them. (usually it's b/c that's the direction the herd is going) I honestly wanted to go to the waffle house but my sister opted to go here. So we went. The food here is fine, we ate there on a Sunday around 9am so the crowd wasn't bad. My favorite food there was the breakfast egg and cheese pizza. Being that it's a buffet I figured overeating is fine, so I ended my breakfast with their cherry cobbler and ice cream.... I mean, they had everything set up for breakfast but they also had dessert out as if it was dinner time...i mean what the hey, what was I suppose to do? I think I went to the buffet for myself three times but I had to actually go to the food area 5 or 6 times b/c of my nephew. It was really fun, I would go there again. They also have an omelet station and it was really funny b/c my dad wanted one but every time he went up to grab one, there was always a long line, and every time I passed it, there was never a line. I also learned after being here with my family that we all have ocd when it comes to cleaning up our own table after eating. Been going here for over 30 plus years and can safely say this Easter Sunday meal at around 3:30 PM was the nastiest most dried out food I have ever gotten. Your dessert bar wasn't replenished the whole time I was there and most desserts looked like children had been playing in them. Don't think i'll ever suggest going there again. I did tip my waiter that I had to hail down like a cab to get a drink refill, even though it wasn't as busy at that time. read more
