This is a fun family activity dinner. The menu options is large and plentiful. You pick a soup broth, noodles and proteins. They bring it out to you and your cook it yourself on a small burner in front of you. You also get to pick more proteins to cook yourself on a large hibachi type grill in the middle of the table. You can order anything and it's all the same price. A nice bar of condiments and sauces to customize your dining experience. Finally got a chance to check this location out. In hindsight, Valentine's Day probably wasn't the best time to go because we ended up waiting about an hour. It could have been longer, but the hostess was kind enough to move us up, and we were able to get seated sooner than expected. I absolutely loved the Valentine's decorations -- they really made a great impression and added to the overall experience. The food was good, and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. My only real complaint is the setup for the sides and sauces. I'm not a huge fan of the buffet-style approach -- I personally prefer full table service. If you like hot pot and Korean bbq, this is the spot for you! It's AYCE, with good cuts of meat. I really liked the bulgogi, the cut isn't shredded but thick, so the taste is different and so tender! There's so many variety of veggies, meat balls, seafood, for the hotpot and for the bbq! You can create your own sauces but also they have many variations of popular sauces ready for you! There's good sides, like seaweed salad, kimchi, edamame, to go with the bbq. The dessert bar has sweet fresh fruit like oranges, pineapples, longans, and there's a good selection of ice cream! Pro tip, mix them all for neopolitan! There's sweet peanuts too, if you add it to the chocolate, it tastes like rocky road! Judging by the reviews, maybe I had the rare bad experience or maybe I'm just picky, but our time at Hot Pot 757 was sub-par to say the least. Yes, the restaurant is nice and spacious; well-decorated with friendly greetings as you come in. The food and service? Not much to be excited about. Or server was very distant and unfriendly and quite quick about explaining the menu, almost as if it were an annoyance that we hadn't been there before. I tried to explain that we've had hot pot, just not at their location, but they barreled through the options and were rushing to get our order in. They didn't even ask about drinks, so thank goodness I remembered and told them what we wanted before they quickly disappeared. By the time we got back from the cold bar, our food was there. The cold bar was pretty lackluster. Edamame that looked like it had been out for days. Kimchi with barely any flavor. A few fruit options at a totally different end of the bar than the desserts (which I'll get to). Very sparse and the flavors were unappealing. The sauce bar was very well stocked with plenty of options and the typical "recipe ideas" available. No complaints there. When we got back to the table, items ordered were missing. We didn't get pineapple. We didn't get potatoes. That was quickly forgotten when the server came back by. The first thing I asked before I even mentioned the food was whether we could get either get a spoon or kids chopsticks. They pointed to the bar and said, with a blank face and monotone voice, "They're at the bar." Ok? Fine. No customer service,I guess. So I asked for kids chopsticks and that said that they could get some chopsticks helpers. We didn't see them for over 15 minutes, and only after I had to ask again. Poor service overall to say the least. My biggest complaint is the way this hot pot/bbq place operates. We're used to dining at locations which allow you to serve your own ingredients. This way, you only get what you want and can have a variety. At Hot Pot 757 you have to pick from the menu and have them bring you what you want. The server had also made it clear, in the same monotone, unfriendly voice, with the same annoyed quickness, that we should only pick 3-4 items at a time. This resulted in receiving mounds of the few things we picked. For the BBQ that's fine. For the hot pot? Not so much. You don't need two huge handfuls of bok choy, half a sweet potato, multiple pieces of corn, and 6 sausages for one hot pot. It's almost as if they're trying to limit the ability to enjoy AYCE by giving you massive portions. I also don't enjoy that they don't have other options available like other similar restaurants. No rice/fried rice, dumplings, etc. available on the buffet. They also don't give you your own non-stick spray bottle and don't swap out the grill plates when they start getting black. This is on top of the fact that the food was just... not all that good. The vegetables were fresh. The meats? Average. The garlic shrimp barely tasted like anything. The "curry" chicken was mealy and barely seasoned. The house steak was fatty and tough, even when only cooked lightly. The desserts? An absolute travesty. The cream puffs were frozen in the middle. The cream cake was coffee flavored and extremely strong, almost to the point of being inedible due to the flavor. The ice cream cups were hard as a rock - hard enough to break the plastic spoons available. Nothing about the experience warranted the price. Maybe Richmond is starved for competition so this place seems great but once you've had other hot pot and k-bbq, Hot Pot 757 isn't even close in terms of service, quality or taste. I rarely feel like I'm disappointed enough to wish I could get my money back, but unfortunately that's how I feel about tonight's meal. We won't be going back. read more

Checked out 757 with the family and we were all pleasantly surprised with our experience. The restaurant is pretty large but somehow not super noisy even when full. Waitstaff was incredibly friendly and helpful which was great bc we were overwhelmed a bit with all the options for food and sauces. Definitely a learning curve to figure out the hotpot and grill selections and of course your sauces. Might be tough to maneuver for the very young and some seniors but overall a great outing for family and friends. read more

I think this is a new location, I went with co workers for dinner time. I was impressed, they were too! My first time having Korean BBQ. The place is huge, modern, neat, beautiful decor and ambiance is great! We were seated right away, staff were lovely! Our waitress was very patient and since this was our first time there and it was 5 of us, we had so many questions and she took her time, very knowledgeable, explained everything and all the steps and told us what she recommends and all! I forgot her name but she was great, made our experience even better! We ordered A-LOT of things. We had two vegetarians with us, they loved it as well! Our table was very full. The all you can eat idea is great! You pick your own sauces, meat, veggies, sides and all. Mine came up to $40, I got a mango tea, it was good. There was about 3 or 4 birthday celebrations when I was there, they did something special for each of them, which was so sweet! It is a great place for groups as well! I had a pretty good experience at hot pot 757. The staff was very kind, informative, and went out of their way to make sure that we were having a good meal. There's tons of seating and the tables are spaced out nicely so you can have a bit more privacy if you want. For my hot pot soup base I chose beef butter. It had a little bit of heat to it, but mostly tasted like a simple beef broth. There's a wide variety of meats, veggies, and even fruit like pineapple to add to the grill. I would recommend sticking to any of the beef or lamb cuts since they were all great. The curry chicken we had didn't seem to have much flavor. I liked the option to mix up your own sauce as well as all of the sides at the buffet such as pickled daikon, longan, seaweed salad, pineapple, and watermelon. Loved checking out Hot Pot 757's Midlothian location with a group of friends. ***LOCATION*** As mentioned in the name, this is in Midlothian. It's in the same shopping center as the Total Wine. There is a lot of free parking out front. We went on a weekday night and it wasn't hard to get a spot. Our friend who is obsessed with Hot Pot 757 says this one is the better of the Richmond area locations. ***EXPERIENCE*** We were a group of seven. They set us up at a long table with two grills, but they only let us use one grill. You used to be able to choose between Korean BBQ and Hot Pot or Combo, but now it's a only one price includes all situation. The service here was incredible. Our server was super kind. She helped us with all kinds of suggestions and checked on us frequently. They have an incredible selection of meats, veggies, mushrooms, and seafoods. Do know that you need some knowledge of cooking. For example, be sure to get a broth you like and add some sauces. They have guides on how to mix certain sauces to make something really yummy. This location gets a 3.5 from me for their meat quality. I think if they improved the quality, the Korean BBQ would taste so much better. I adore all the variety they have. I especially love finding things like lotus root on the menu. ***PRICE*** With tip, it came out to about $42. It is an all you can eat for two hours buffet. ***BATHROOM*** They have women and men restrooms. i thought i wrote a review after we went christmas day. i had never been i thought it would be cool it was seven of us. what a horrible experience and i spent a fortune almost $200 including a $45 tip (18% demand for groups over 6). We didn't pay for one because she was traumatized - they were nice about it. the help / waitresses were very nice it probably took a half hour to explain what to do and to me you basically have to be a chef . i think a lot of people like these kind of places but they're just not for me. all of us were a confused mess on what to try what to do what seasonings- we were reaching over each other for anything and everything. the dessert bar and the tiny cold crab legs were pitiful for the price (included). one of the teenagers went in the bathroom and cried. Soooooo I forgot to take photos of EVERYTHING but you have GOT to try it out. The decor is minimalistic, surprisingly, but gives you an open and warm feeling. I feel like they could do with a tea ceremony exhibit or something in the front once in a while but that's for later. Each tables comes with your own hot plate, and then you choose your broth. You can switch the broth out so you can try several different flavors while there. Then you order allll the ingredients you want in there. The dumplings are delish, and the udon noodle was poifect. Next time, definitely trying the spicy broth! There's also a sauce booth, where you can mix and make your variety of sauces. I loved trying a few different together and separately! You can also order the bbq, and the short ribs were a hit at the table but I like pork belly. Ordered shrimp to chicken to beef, I was SOO stuffed afterwards but it was so worth it. It's modern, clean, and spacious. Came here with my family. We purchased a mixture of bbq and ramen. I'm vegan so I purchased the Japanese miso base with bok choy, spinach, shiitake mushroom, pumpkin, and fried tofu. I added some spices, cilantro and sesame peanut dressing from the salad bar. I really enjoyed the combination. I also paired it with fruit and daikon radish. Throughly enjoyed my meal. My omnivore family members said their food was okay but some of their meats were fatty and the hot pot wasn't working as great as it could. We did have to ask our waitress to change our pot once (at other places we've seen them move swifter to change pots). All in all I'd say give this place a bc shot. This is a new favorite. I'm so glad we checked it out. As I was leaving a family told me they had eaten there 4 times in the last few weeks. I can see why now. The All-You-Can-Eat food is excellent. You have the opportunity to either 'boil' you food in a broth/soup or 'grill' on a hot plate. There are four warming stations in the small tables. With a large grill in the middle. First There are multiple meats/protiens to choose from. As well as plenty of vegetables both to go in your soup and be grilled too! The choices are endless. I chose pork belly mushrooms tomatoes and dumplings. My wife had shrimp, corn and spinach with her regular broth. We just let them cook in the soup a while and ate them up. I put calamari on the grill as well as pork belly, pineapple and dumplings. Everything g was awesome. The decor is very cute and well themed. The service is very fast. The wait staff was always asking if we needed any additional things for eating. There is a sauce bar for you to get spaces or make your own. As well as a salad and dessert bar with pastries and ice cream. I would suggest brining your own hand sanitizer just to have at your table if you go to the sauce bar. They're is some at the bar but I would just bring some for the table. I don't feel like it was unsanitary, just wiser now after the pandemic. Our server was informative and always present. What didn't go well? I have been to both locations...this one is hands down the best. With the high ceilings, you don't feel trapped with the grill smoke. The food is amazing with a great selection and sauce bar to get you all set up. We went on a Thursday night and very few people were in the Chinese/Korean restaurant. Just coming from a 2 week trip in Korea, I was expecting a bit higher quality. We had the combined Hot Pot and Bbq which we requested all at the same time. My disappointment was with the quality of the meat. We chose chicken and pork and neither was distinguishable as one from the other. We asked our waiter (when we could get him, unfortunately we didn't have good service..aside from the crew of plate clearers) and even our waiter had a hard time deciding which was which. Neither meat was tender or quality. If this was just a BBQ restaurant this would be a 1.5 star for sure however... they had this Absolutely delicious Hot Pot and the main reason for 4 stars. The broth choices were wonderful and flavorfully developed. Awesome veggie choices, as well as different meats and tofu's. You could fill up on the Hot Pot alone. However, they don't give you a choice. You pay one expensive price for both items, regardless of whether you want them. We had quite a hefty bill for two and two drinks (buy one get 1 half off even). Not sure we can actually eat that much so, for us, it was a one and done experience. They do have a sauce bar in the middle of the restaurant, with store bought kimchi, and a few desserts to round this experience out. read more

The customer service is top tier the first time I went I really didn't know how it all worked but our waitress was so nice and informative, she also helped a lot with the hot stove, when it was getting too hot she changed it out like a pro! This is the location out in Midlothian, there's another one I think in short pump but if you ever stop by this one in Midlothian trust me it's gonna me a great experience with great food, oh and the pricing is very fair especially with the amount of food you get! The drinks were also really good,but of course a bit pricey as it usually it when you there aren't drink special options. I will say one thing that was unfortunate, my brother didn't order anything he was just there to support my step mother's birthday but he tasted one of my scallops I had ordered and cooked, he just wanted to try one and they attempted to charge him 40 dollars for it!! LUCKILY we smoothed it all out and he didn't get charged but I'm wondering why that was even a thing, so I had to take away a star for that. Our second trip to HotPot 757 was with a party of 10. This place takes reservations which already makes it a winner in my book. We had some first timers as well we repeat customers with us and everyone fully enjoyed their meal and their time there. Our server was super friendly and could not have done better with taking care of us. Food came out very quickly on this Saturday afternoon and everything tasted delicious. As my second time there, I realized $40 really is a good value for the shear assortment of meat and vegetarian options they offer you that you can fully take advantage. Red meat, pork, poultry, sea food, tofu, vegetables, noodles... The BBQ looks good as well though on both trips, and probably the next trip, we all had hotpot on our mind(s). I went with some coworkers it was a nice experience. It was pricey, but I guess that's to be expected. I think for my food it was like 50 bucks rounded up. The table has like a little hot plates built into it and you pick your soup base and you get a little pot. I chose like a Tom yum Thai soup base, it was ok but next time something else. You get your sides with different meats and veg for your soups. One of my coworkers was Chinese Uyghur and she ordered from the staff even though the staff spoke very good English, so there was no issue at all. The staff was attentive. A few of my coworkers wanted theirs with noodles, and some of us wanted rice, but again the staff was great and quick to accommodate. Their cold bar and sauce bar was smaller than most places, but it did the trick. I was mostly in it for the meat anyway and it did deliver. This location was super was spacious and seating was abundant, the bathrooms were clean and there's not much else you can ask from a place. When you leave, be ready to smell like smoke and cooked meat. You will walk out of there smelling real savory. If you ask me, it's not necessarily a bad thing unless you're going on a date or something. read more

What a wonderful meal! The waitress, Ivy, did such a great job walking us through how everything worked, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious - between myself and my friends, we tried a good half-dozen or so different meats and a handful of different broths, and not one of them disappointed. We did the lunch hot-pot-and-barbecue, and for any newcomers, I'd recommend ordering about 30% less food than you think you'll want - the portions are generous, and it's very easy to just ask for more if you find you're still hungry.
