I went on Valentines Day. And there was not any special food out for Valentines Day. They did offer steak it was medium rare cooked for everyone. The pot roast was very bland and the meat loaf had no taste. They no longer bring rolls to the table and the butter is on the other end farthest from the rolls on the salad and taco bar. There desserts consisted of a burnt Apple cobbler brownies, several cakes the carrot cake had crunchy carrots in it. And they didn't decorate there cupcakes to accomidate the holiday. For almost 18.00 a person I could have ate at MCL or a family restaurant. I have ate at the Golden Corral in Branson it taste like it did when I first heard of them. 1st off, its valentines day. They were busy all day. Staff was working hard to keep plates washed, food stocked, and tables cleaned. I LOST MY WEDDING RINGS! My son had puked (got corn stuck in his throat) and got some in my rings. So I took them off with a napkin to clean. I forgot about them until we got out the door. I ran back to the table and it wasn't in any of the napkins on our table. I told the waitress and she talked to the manager. I told them I'm more than willing to look through the trash so no one else has to. Remind you, its a busy day. They don't have the time to be digging through trash. The ended up finding the engagement ring, but not the wedding band. I left my number in case they find it. The guy manager just called me, about 5-6 hrs after we left and said he's been looking all night and spent the last hr trying to find it. But no luck. If I didnt live out of state, I would go back there tomorrow and give them all a good tip. I truly appreciate what that team did for me. The ring didn't cost much. But its what my husband could afford 10 yrs ago while working at taco bell. But it still meant alot to me. And means so much to me that they even took the effort in looking forward. Haven't ate here in over 5 years. I feel like the food has improved so much and it was actually really good! Came here during the lunch hours and got it for cheaper! The staff, from what interactions I did have, were very kind. It pretty much looked clean from what I could see, and the bars with all the food looked pretty clean too. We arrived at 2pm and there was no meats, the food was barely lukewarm warm, the food stations were dirty and looked like they had not been cleaned all day. No selection or variety of hardly anything. The service was ok and explained that they had been super busy because of the first of the month but I feel they should have been more prepare. They have really stepped up their game. This food was awesome. Robert one of the cooks made us breaded chicken strips and brought them out to our table. It was my birthday, and Marilyn is always wonderful as a waitress. I think that the kitchen manager and the front end manager had really worked hard to make things a lot better, I think all the managers and the staff are doing their best to to make the food better, the place cleaner and people wanting to come there again! read more

Went there today at 6pm. Soups were left over from lunch (or yesterday) as the noodles were mush. There was nothing available that was advertised on the dinner menu so why the $15.85 price? My family of six had a bad experience last night, Tues, Nov. 14th, 2023. We arrived around 6:45 p.m. The restaurant was supposed to be open until 9 p.m. The restaurant only had a few tables of customers. My husband and son ordered steaks cooked medium. Both of them were burned. The chef cooking the steaks had seared a lot of steaks, then put them in a pan to keep warm before he cooked them to the customers' desired doneness. So, he didn't even cook the steaks to order. The fried fish was the only food we saw them bring out fresh. They didn't replace the old food with fresh food at all the entire time we were there. Our waitress, Adrian, was horrible. She wasn't collecting our dirty plates, so my husband placed them on an empty table next to us. She didn't like that. She only gave some people drink refills. My husband had to ask her for a refill. My seven year old and myself needed refills for a long time, but we never got them. The waitress stopped coming around, so we couldn't even ask for refills. The waitress filled a to go box with food for herself. Then she sat down to bag up silverware for customers to use the next day and wait for us to get done. As soon as we put our jackets on, she stood up and told the other employees to break down the food buffets. I was reluctant to try this place after it had been closed down, what, twice? But a friend recommended it, and she liked it, so we went. I am only seeing 1 or 2 star ratings here, and not many. I think things have changed a lot since the reopening. We've been 3 times lately. The only problems I've seen are dirty tables, and poor drink service. But given that it was busy, that's understandable. The food was kept stocked, looked good, and tasted good. The meat station was stocked and presentable, and the gentleman running it certainly knows how to cook steak. Don't really care for their steak sauce house brand, though. A bit blah and too sweet. It's a buffet though. What does one expect? As another friend from out of town calls them, "the hog trough". It's a good selection, too, with plenty of stuff available that won't blast your blood sugar through the roof. My only recommendation is to add a couple of sugar-free dessert items, which I believe they used to have? If you haven't been there since the reopening, give it another chance. read more

Plates are disgusting and the place stinks, staff is constantly scrubbing but they aren't cleaning the dishes or plates well enough. My child's bbq chicken was GREEN. I wouldn't feed this stuff to my dog. read more

What a joke! We came at about 3pm on a Saturday. We were charged the full Dinner price, but literally NOTHING was ready. No butterfly shrimp, no strip steak advertised. The sirloin they did offer was nothing short of shoe leather. Chicken was good, but everything else had obviously been leftover from the lunch service. I'm not much on buffets any more, but I tried Golden Corral today and it was not bad for a buffet. The dishes that I thought were good was the fried chicken, pot roast, yeast rolls, mashed potatoes and the shrimp was good. Some of the bad spaghetti sauce was no good, the pizza, and baked fish. Most of the food tasted fine, although some of the chicken was a little cold. However, after eating here I got the worst food poisoning I've ever had in my life. Normally, I've only ever had it last a day or so. This lasted 4-5 days! I am certain it was the seafood salad. Something about it was "off." And sure enough, within the hour, I was ill. It's a shame this place doesn't seem to have the standards it should. I wanted to enjoy it (and even convinced my friend we should eat there on our trip to Terre Haute). Luckily, he didn't get sick. Not good at all. We were greeted by a cashier that seemed more interested in eating her garlic bread than waiting on us. My girlfriend got sick after eating at salad bar. This is the worse Golden Corral I have ever been too. The food is mostly gone at the hot bar, nothing being refilled, dried out, lacking taste. my co workers and I ate there Thurs. was very disapointed in the food, I could hardly wait for G.C. to come back to town, all the food seemed to have been out for some period of time, no taste at all, come on guys get it together, give us a meal you can be proud of. also the price we payed for the meal was unreal.
