We went here for breakfast, and despite the steam tables, everything was still cold. The eggs were a sloppy mess, the roll was soft on top and hard as a brick underneath, the danishes were just as pathetic, and the bacon was swimming in grease. I figured I'd salvage the meal with ice cream, certain they couldn't possibly ruin that too. But they managed one last insult by having stale cones. The lady running the register was the best part of the meal, she was pleasant, had a good sense of humor and had a great attitude. The server was slow and took a while to take our coffee order. I visited the Golden Corral quite often. However, the Mac and cheese is never baked. It is a rip off to save money . While vwe are paying top dollar a pound for Carry Out. The buffet price isn't bad, and there's a good variety of food and desserts. I'm vegetarian and found things I could eat - although they used pork in all of their beans and added butter to many veggies. I appreciated that they listed allergens such as gluten, milk, and eggs in the labels over each dish. But in terms of flavor and texture - well, remember when you visited great-grandma at the home and stayed for lunch? Yeah, it's nursing home food. Veggies and rice are overcooked into mush and there's little flavor in anything. The salad fixins are okay. My husband's cobbler had a tough pastry we couldn't cut with a knife, and he said the ice cream tasted watered down. His cornbread was tasteless, and my mom said the rolls were too yeasty. A lot of the food just tasted off. Service was good - no complaints. For reasons unfathomable to me, this place gets really busy at times, but staff did a good job keeping up with things. The ambiance reminds me of buffets I went to as a kid. There's a feeling of going back in time to 1995 - when buffets were more popular. I enjoyed the nostalgia kick. This was actually an experiment by me and my Son in Law. We wanted to see if there were any changes in Golden Corral post pandemic. We went late on A Sunday evening when it was not crowded-3 Adults, a 3 yr old and an infant. They had some sections closed off but seating was still plentiful. Same ordering process as before but they did not give us cups when we ordered. The waitress came right away once we were seated and brought our cups to our table along with silverware and a stack of plates. Plates and silverware are no longer laying out for you to pick up on your own. I actually don't mind this because I feel like it is more sanitary(Yep. That is the Nurse inside my head saying "Yeah!") Besides that everything was pretty much the same. Yes they still have those huge rolls!(Did I really say that? Those carbs stay calling my name). Golden Corral is not gourmet food but it is good food as they have several choices for even the pickiest of eaters like my Grandson. All in all Golden Corral is pretty much the same as before with a few minor changes. My Family loves to come here because you can find something for everyone. An awful Golden Corral. The counter girl was rude rude and rude. I was I there for 45 minutes and they never had steak, just a promise it was coming. I left. Salad bar also almost empty of most things, while the two girls behind the salad bar station just talked and ever so slowly started filling stuff. Except for ranch, eggs and other items that just sat there with morsels. It is so obvious this location does not care about their food quality or their guests. Waitress never came back after the first time she filled the waters but it was a busy shift and in the middle of a shift hand over so it's understandable. This Golden Corral is notoriously bad. But tonight put me over the edge. I'll never go back. First off, Golden Corral is too damn expensive for the quality. Basically, 3 adults, 2 with water, cost about $65. Ok, whatever. I went to sit down, and the whole right side of the restaurant SMELLED LIKE URINE!. I mean strong adult urine. It was awful. We went to the other side and it was normal. But we literally couldn't stomach going to the cold bar because it was right in the middle of the PEE PEE side‍. Our waitress never came back to our table after the original drink and plate drop off to pick up plates, so they were just piling up. Eventually, I stacked them and moved them to one of the many dirty, yet be cleared tables surrounding me. So nasty. Floor was nasty to. Not to mention, the food was just ok, no fondue, no cotton candy ( which is my 6 year olds fav part), barely any taco fixins, no icee machine. I couldn't even use the restroom because it was on the PEE PEE SIDE! I really just feel like i got ripped off. I am absolutely done with that Golden Corral. Yall got to do better read more

Came in tonight to pick up a order. Order was supposed to be ready to be picked up 5 mins before I even got there. When I went in the order wasn't ready yet. So I stood there for a additional 15 mins waiting only then to be told it was going to be another 20 mons because they hadn't started frying the chicken for the order!!!!!!! Whole staff needs to be fired. Came in to eat a couple of years ago on, what I didn't know was military day. They had military marching band music blaring loud and it not only put me off from wanting to eat, but it also gave me a splitting headache. And the manager would not turn the music down. Last night, Veterans Day was celebrated Golden Corral style! I'm a veteran and so I took them up on their invitation to be there from 5 pm to 9 pm. It was very nice. Staff started seating us around 4 pm. Students from several different universities and colleges assisted with everything from bussing tables to directing wayward Veterans. The food was fresh and plentiful at this Waldorf location. I managed to sample 3 varied plates which included, abundant salad bar, Taco Bar, Fried you name it bar and last but not least the grilled steak. If you like a buffet this is your place. There is a large variety to choose from and you must have a good strategy if you want sample it all. Our group consisted of 2 adults & 3 children. We went on 2/23/25 around 9:45am. It was busy but plenty of empty tables. The place smelled of fresh baked bread! Our server was Jan. She asked which child would need a "kids cup w/lid" VERY thoughtful! Jan brought over enough plates to give each of us 2 trips up. The food selection was good. Plenty items in the bins. Everything was nice & clean. The grill man was fast w/the steaks and the line moved quickly. As we finished our 1st serving of food/drinks, Jan was quick to remove our dirty plates & refill our drinks! Then brought us another set of plates for our next trip up. ;) That day the place was a well oiled machine! Each of us enjoyed our meal. Before leaving I handed Jan her tip and told her she was ON IT! I just so happened to walk past the manager (could tell b/c of uniform) and told him it was a pleasure to dine there. As we left the children wanted to hit the little arcade. Ha guess what, each machine was in working order! $5 later, we walked out w/full tummies & each child had their "toy." Now Golden Corral may not be your thing but when you have children, to me, it's a must! You know they'll order 1 thing and decide they don't want/like it. We dined in this morning for breakfast and got seated very quickly. The food was awesome and our waitress Lori was very nice and welcoming and checked very often if everything was OK with the food and she was very attentive. I've never been to a Golden Corral, really didn't know what to expect. Overall the food was good a typical restaurant with a buffet. For two people our bill was $27.95 which isn't too bad. I wanted an omelette and a waffle. There was one person preparing both and the time was constantly long with at least 6+ people at all times. Which means I never got my omelette or waffle. We usually go to the one in Southwest Florida but we were up visiting in Maryland and we chose the one in Waldorf Maryland. As much as my husband and I enjoy going there for breakfast lunch or dinner we decided going for breakfast at 10:30 am on Sunday just did not work for us this time. There were NO eggs and bits and pieces of burnt bacon and was told they did not have anymore eggs and all the lunch items were out-what it was still 1/2 left for breakfast and the line for omelets was so long it was not worth spending that much time in line for some eggs. I had to force myself to eat meat and vegetables where I wanted bacon and eggs. They did put a whole tray of bacon out but that was a waste with no eggs. If you like buffet food, then Golden Corral is for you. The selection is vast and the prices are cheap. I opted to stay semi healthy. I got the fried okra, 2 small pieces of the fried whiting fish and a large spring salad mix with carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, corn and boiled eggs. My fried okra weren't as great as I had remembered from my trip years prior. But they sufficed. The fish was great. If healthy isn't what you want, they had plenty of other options. Fried chicken, ham, steak, meat loaf, sausage, mashed potato, French fries, onion rings, just to name a few items. And their desert selection ranges from an ice cream station, where you can make your own sundae, to a few chocolate fondue fountains (white chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate) with marshmallows and an array of fruits to "chocolatize" (I made up a word.
