But the human service was spotty when I went. I hope it was just an off day but most Korean BBQ restaurants have terrific service but my waiter seemed forgetful that I needed drinks or would be late to check if my grilling was done. They would disappear for quite a while and I'd have to ask another waiter to get them for me. I'll only dock a star in hopes this was a 1-time hiccup as my first time here was over a year ago and the service then was A-plus. I hope service quality hasn't dropped since then. KBBQ is making it's way to the Waldorf area. This one is pretty standard as far as KBBQ joints go. The way they price it, they want you to go the AYCE route. They'll let you order several rounds of what are pretty cheap meats, and they bring it in small quantities so it's somewhat easier to not overorder. AYCE is rough when you have a kid that doesn't eat a ton, even if they do offer a kids rate. Service is usually good. The ambiance that of a trendy, loud, hip place. Maybe I'm not hip. I could do with less noise and better quality food. My dad loves this place though. I think the loud club-style ambiance does it for him. read more

My daughter was in the mood for Korean BBQ and I'm so glad we visited this restaurant. We had a great experience. The waiter, Eric, was amazing, helpful, and attentive. He even helped my daughter get her favorite K-pop music video played on the tv. The table limit is 90 minutes and we were able to order more than enough food while there. We tried the Korean fried chicken, K-ramen, beef bulgogi, Firepan steak, and thick pork belly. The waiter was very helpful with cooking the food to the right temperature. The beef bulgogi is always a favorite of mine but everything else was good too. The restaurant was decorated nicely, the music was the best of both worlds for me--there was R&B on the stereo and K-Pop videos on the TV. It was also located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The price point wasn't bad either. I would absolutely return. P.S. We ordered Option B to get a few sushi rolls. Spicy Bulgogi Roll was good, but not spicy. Shrimp Tempura Roll was delicious! This place was hopping tonight. There was a 25-minute wait to get a seat. The noise level here was very tolerable, considering how busy they were. Not a whole lot of people talking at the top of their voices over other people talking at the top of theirs, which happens a lot in busy restaurants. There were big screen TV's in remote spots, with various programs being played and some lighter music. Our server recognized us, as she had served us on a prior visit. Most times previous, the food delivery was fairly quick, not wanting to leave people waiting for their next meal. Tonight was not as fast. We had to remind our server a couple of times of what we had previously asked for. The last thing we asked for was the Crazy Firepan Steak, which had two chili peppers next to it to specify the level of spice. What was delivered to us had no spice, so it was the regular Firepan Steak, which still tasted fine but not exactly what we asked for. What has improved on their menu is the last time we had visited, the only option to include sushi was Option C, the most expensive menu selection. This time, the sushi was available on Option B. Had three different sushi rolls, the Shrimp Tempura Roll, Crazy Bulgogi Roll and Spicy Bulgogi Roll. All three were delicious. I ordered Thick-cut Pork Belly, Crazy Firepan Steak (received just Firepan Steak) and Hawaiian Bulgogi. Everything was delicious and most certainly qualifies for going back again the next time we feel like Korean BBQ. The only negative part was the waiting time between portions served, or I would've given this place a full 5 stars. The concept is super cool with little robots that come out with your food. They were also out of one of their specialty drinks they were promoting. We had stayed up there that long that the promo stand was one we read, too bad we couldn't take advantage! Other than those two misses the visit was great! It made sense to get option C which was only $33.99. Let's Get Into It! All the proteins we got were okay! Not the best. We needed salt for them, even when they came seasoned. Comparing the grade of meat to other Korean BBQ the quality was less than we expected. The sushi was decent and met expectations. I go to this firepan quite frequently, although they do not carry certain liquors like other firepan bars the service makes up for it tenfold. Gladius is an amazing bartender always making the drinks with amazing taste and excellent service, she likes to also engage with customers showing that she is passionate about others and what they want to drink if their is a certain preference. The surrounding area provides a nice chill atmosphere to relax either at the bar or the couches they provide for better comfort! Music is always a 10/10 ! This new-ish Waldorf restaurant is one of (if not the best) the best places in Charles County, especially if you like spicy foods. I've eaten here twice and wasn't disappointed either time. The receipt in the photo is on our 2nd time here, a party of 4. All 4 entrees were DELISH. Three of us took home leftovers. If you do not want leftovers, don't eat a lot of the salad upfront is my advice. But the salad and little dishes of stuff is to good to pass up, so I wouldn't bet on that approach working. Probably one of the best Korean bbq around the area. I think my friends and I came here 3 times in the span of a month. We went with the mid tier menu and there is so much to choose from. The steamed egg and bulgogi rolls were great appetizers! Their Henny delight drink is really good. The staff is very attentive and made sure we got what we needed. I visited Firepan for the first time in a long time. I must say I'm impressed at the many updates and changes! It's very chic and sexy inside now. Even the food choices have changed and tastes amazing! My server was Tisha (I'm sorry of if I misspelled it) and I was blessed to have met the manager in charge for the day- Chito. He's a joy and is extremely knowledgeable. He can also make a mean cocktail!
