Just meh to be honest. They didn't have many vegetarian options. I was craving pho, but of course they did not have a non-meat based broth option. But that's fine, it was the service or lack of that stood out. The servers were not very friendly. First time coming here and the food and service is 5 Star. Started off with my drink, I had the Uber Slush and it was flavorful without being too sweet. I've been waiting for the place to open ever since I found out they took over the old Pho 999 location. My family and I were able to visit yesterday. My experience here was ok. First off, they expanded the restaurant and it looks very spacious now with more seating available. Looks like they also kept the open kitchen concept and redid the front counter. I understand that they probably just recently opened and that they are working out the kinks. With that said, there was probably 3 other parties in the restaurant and it took about 30-45mins for us to get our food. The food also was just ok. I got the house pho and I thought the broth could use more seasoning to it. The brisket pieces were larger instead of being thinly sliced which I wasn't a fan of because I had to really chew down on it. Also, their homemade chili sauce was a really good addition to the pho. The spring rolls were pretty basic and the Banh Mi was good. I really liked that they had sugar cane drinks, but it's a slushy version which I wish they just had it as a juice. Spring Rolls and Pho! That all I need in life. This place is excellent when it comes to those two items. I'm sure the rest is top notch, but that's all I order when I come here. Since they have different dishes that you normally don't find at the typical Vietnamese restaurant I was expecting more but still decent. Had the signature chef's special duck and crispy pork, the pics I saw from other reviewers looked better, when it was served, it was just ok, duck was a bit dry but edible. Still a new place, at least they cleaned up the old Pho 999 with a remodel, was expecting this to wow me honestly, but maybe my expectations were too high, and they still need to work out a few kinks. Service was a bit slow, the server had to review the menu and write it down word for word on the pad, since she still needs to know what they serve on the menu. We ordered the Heaven and Earth (duck, pork belly, & rice) & the banh canh cua (thick soup with crab). Both 10/10. Heaven n earth was moist and crispy in all the right places. Went here for lunch with my son who was craving pho, and this place did not disappoint. The soup was a delicious and flavorful. The portion was perfect and the service was great. For example, this is the exact menu description: Banh Canh Cua $16.99 Thick, savory broth with crab and chewy udon noodles When my wife ordered this (she is pescatarion), a giant block of pork was plopped down in the middle of the soup. No mention of pork in the desrption above. Now on the good side, they did offer to remake it (my wife always refuses this because she hates to "waste food" and this drives me bonkers as we when we go out we should be paying for what we want, not paying for what we don't want). Anyway, the service was good. Mostly. Out two soup dishes did come out maybe 5 minutes apart instead of togther, but the servers themselves were friendly. Neither of us particuallrly liked our dishes, so doubtful we will be back, especially considering the menu is a random estimation of what you will actually receive. read more

The broth was super clean, you can taste the freshness and can tell that this broth has been stewed from fresh bones and no shortcuts were taken with the imitation seasonings. We also had the bun rieu (crab soup) which was full of flavor but not overpowering. I loved the crab meat that was in it! Place was clean, service was excellent! Our water was refilled 3 times without us having to ask! What sets this place apart from the other Vietnamese restaurants in town is that they have authentic dishes that the other places don't have. Great food and friendly atmosphere. I've had the bbq banh mi sandwich and the bread is soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside while the bbq meat filling and fresh veggies make it a huge hit. I also have ordered the lemongrass chicken and it's potent but I bet you haven't tasted something like it before. Obviously the Pho is good but that's always what the wife and kids get.
