Delicious food, fast service and open until 3am. This place is a reno gem for sure. Combo plates around $11 are huge takeout plate lunch filled to brim. Authentic plates, wonderful seafood and fresh veggies. The Sushi is amazing and fresh made to order. From Boba to Seafood to traditional Chinese cuisine and many Vietnamese dishes this place does not disappoint, the Chinese Chicken Curry over rice is a must try! Sweet and sour chicken is crispy on outside with delicious sauce flavor! Gotta love this family owned gem Try Pho Cafe next time u got the munchies and u won't be disappointed

A simple Asian diner. Hong Kong Diner is a good place for Asian cuisine, if you know what to order. We went with our friends from Hong Kong and they steered us to the best dishes. We had Beef Chow Fun, the noodles were absolutely amazing, One of my favorite dishes is the Singapore Noodles. Another solid option. We ordered the Spare Ribs in Black Bean Sauce. The flavor on the ribs was absolutely delicious, with a deep "grilled" flavor. I ordered the Ma Po Tofu dish. It was served with the heat meater on a 2 (out of 5) and even so the dish was delicious with the Tofu a touch on the softer side. Our friends ordered the porridge, I don't recall the specific type. The group seemed to enjoy it, calling it "authentic" but to be fair, I didn't get a chance to try it first hand. Our friends did say to stay away from the Combo Plates. While they can be a good deal, the restaurant prioritizes speed over quality or flavor. Order the full dishes. A solid choice, if you order the right things.

That was a lot of food, and that was only one of the two plates.

It was late, and I didn't want to go out, and so I decided to do a DoorDash. The food came quickly, and it was still very hot. There was a lot of food. The bag was heavy. The menu is humongous. Dim sum, Chinese, sushi, Vietnamese, with lots of choices from every part of the menu. I started with the crab Rangoon's, and they were very good. The filling was a little bit sweet, and a little bit savory, and the shell was well fried, crispy, and not oily at all. They were offering a BOGO on the combination plate, and so that's what I went for. I had the garlic chicken, and the chicken with seasonal. Veggies. On both dishes, the chicken was moist and tender. The veggies were done well. Just the right consistency, not mushy at all. The taste was great. The only thing I could say, was, the garlic chicken was a bit spicy. About medium on what I like for spice, you could definitely see the red pepper flakes on that food. Unfortunately, nowhere in the menu did it mention the spicy part of it. I did like it, and the spice was within what I like, but I think the next time I would order something else. The fried rice was very well done with a good flavor also. It was just the rice. It had no egg or veggies in it. I had enough for two meals on the first combo, and the second one went into my portable cooler, and is going home to Sacramento with me. For all I got, the price was extremely reasonable, even if I would've gotten only one combination. Thank you very much.

Wrap in my sushi?what else is wrong?

I had cling wrap in my sushi roll. What else is wrong with this restaurant? I cannot finish my meal. And since it was delivered by uber, I cannot als for the kitchen to correct it. I'd give it zero stars if that was an option. I'm tossing my meal. I literally just vomited. Wow! That was fun!

    17. Roast Duck Noodle Soup (noodles were flavorless)

Saw this location having a lot of items on their menu and wanted to give it a try. However, their roasted duck seemed like it wasn't even roasted at all. It was hard, barely any meat, and seemed like they just sprinkler salt and msg on the top. The duck noodle soup, at least the duck here had flavor, but the noodles tasted like it was just boiled with water and put in here with the soup. No flavor whatsoever. We did enjoy the shrimp fried rice. The honey walnut shrimp just had a bit of a doughy texture, I guess since the shrimps were smaller and they wanted to compensate. Wouldn't really recommend.

I went to the counter ordered and said I'll be eating it here. They brought it to me in a to go container a little warmer than warm. I'm not sure why I keep coming back here for the Chinese. The pho is good but I thought I'd try the Chinese 1 dang more time. Nope! Ugh. I ordered chow mein and Rec'd fried rice. I went to counter and he brought me hot piping chow main.

...and yet another stop in my continuing hunt for my new favorite Pho joint in the area! In case this is the first review of mine that you've read or if you haven't read my Pho reviews, let me explain. A few years back, I visited EVERY Pho joint in the area looking to find my favorite and what lived up to my expectations, as well as satisfying my taste profile, having eaten this food all across North America. It's one of my favorite foods... I finally found my favorite back then, but the owner sold it a couple of years ago and the new owners changed the recipe...I don't like it as much, so the hunt resumed. A foodie friend recommended this establishment, so I went to check it out. I always visit at least twice before I write a review. The first MAJOR plus? They're open 7 days a week from 10am to 3a!! This will definitely be my late night option after everyone else closes, even though it's definitely NOT going to be my favorite go-to. All the food I've seen coming out of the kitchen to other tables looks great, but I haven't tried any of that yet...I was focused on Pho. My first 2 times in, I ordered the #1 Pho Combo ($14) No description on the menu, but a classic combo should have all the regular stuff...noodles, veggies, broth, proteins...and all of those items should be in fairly equal proportions to balance out all the flavors and textures that are expected with this dish. It should always be accompanied by the standard accoutrements served on the side...bean sprouts, fresh basil, sliced jalapeno, lime wedges and fresh cilantro...and the standard "sauces" that should be on the table...Hoisin, Sri Racha and Sweet Chile Sauce. I always ask for Hot Chile Oil since my spice level is WAY up there! Here's where the first fail (for me) occurs here. No fresh cilantro is served on the side. No biggie...there's enough already in the bowl to accomplish this necessary flavor. Here's the 2nd fail (for me). No Sweet Chile Sauce on the table! All my Vietnamese friends that have taught me over many years how to enjoy this dish...and how it's traditionally served...all say that this is an essential flavor component. No idea why it's not offered. The plusses? Nice portion at a great price. The proteins, veggies and noodles are all cooked and seasoned nicely. The service? Not stellar...but good and fairly efficient. Very casual atmosphere in a very large room with lots of large table seating...they even have a sushi bar here! Here's where we get into more fails for me: The broth is not as deep and flavorful as I like...although it's fairly tasty. I'm good with that...every place has their own broth recipe. The BIGGEST fail for me? When you order a Combo, it's supposed to include the traditional proteins in equal amounts. The meatballs? Just a couple of small(ish) pieces...I'm kind of ok with that. BUT...hardly ANY Tripe and Tendon! I LOVE those proteins...and even though the small amount I DID get were cooked and seasoned well, there wasn't enough of either...no balance...and I'm paying more for a Combo, so I expect equal amounts of those proteins. This seems to be an issue in EVERY place in the area that does serve Tripe and Tendon...not enough to balance the dish. These are minor issues, but they mean something to me, so I'm telling you what I think...you need to make your own assessment when you try it. I also tried (on my 3rd visit) another dish that I was introduced to a couple of years ago by a local Vietnamese friend: #38 Bun Bo Hue (Spicy Noodle Soup) ($14) A nice variation on classic Pho with a different flavor and texture profile. Their version is good, but not as good as my go-to...although, as I said earlier, they're open late and I'd order it for a late night chowdown. I suggest you go try them out and see what YOU think...

The food was good, they had great service, the overall ambiance was also amazing, they serve good amount however the pho could be better, the edge of the flank was hard so not recommend the flank, however the tend and the steak is good.

We stumbled upon this place randomly. We were surprised it was all one place because it was the Sushi Boba Pho Cafe Hong Kong Diner titled all outside their building. It's a huge place. The reviews are wild because I thought this place was really good!!! The service was really good too. I loved how many options they had there and as you see we literally ordered one of each title on the building I liked it, my daughter liked it, my husband liked it. The pho was really good too!! I wish I took my leftovers home but we forgot it on the table

We got seated immediately on a Sunday night. Place is sort of clean, tables looked kinda sticky. Ordered the crab Rangoon's, shrimp dim sum, fried rice with general chicken and bun Bo hue. The crab Rangoon's were pretty delicious. Dim sum was also pretty okay. The fried rice had no flavor and that specific plate came out not hot. The bun Bo hue was very hot but there was something off about the flavor, I felt like there wasn't that much flavor to begin with. The service was okay, they were straight to the point, not so welcoming. Multiple members of staff would were walking around but I felt like they didn't really care if our food tasted okay, because no one asked. Perhaps ordering different items might be better for next time. Willing to try again to give it one more shot. Good thing is if you're desperate for some Chinese, this place is open pretty late and there's plenty of parking.

So tonight we had a late dinner and I wanted to come here. This place seems to always be buzzing every time I come for an uber eats pick up it's fairly busy. It wasn't crowded tonight but definitely decent amount of people and pick ups too. Restaurant is pretty large so nice if you have a big group. We quickly were sat at a table. Our Server Andy who was awesome by the way , Gave us a few min and then we ordered . Me and wifey both got combo plates $11. Great deal for amount of food just look at pic. Wifey got other pics but we got egg rolls and the flat Wontons too. Son got the Wonton Noodle soup. We all enjoyed our food . Good flavor, came out nice and hot. Plenty of food . This was a nice dinner . Note they are open till 3am wow. Late night dinners this is the spot ! Enjoy !!!!

I found my new favorite place to order my beef chow fun. I am very particular when it comes to chow fun. Absolutely loved it! They have a very good selection of food from sushi, dim sum, pho Vietnamese soup and Chinese food. I was very skeptical on whether this place would be good because of the wide cuisine varieties but everything we ordered was good. The wait staff and service was good too. We also ordered salt and pepper pork chops, a few suishi rolls, combo pho soup and fried pork egg rolls.

We always go to this restaurant and order either boba or to-go. On this occasion, my niece and I decided to dine in. We ordered a couple of (cookies & Cream) mochi donuts, the dim sum appetizer sampler, the regular appetizer sampler, a King Long Roll plus two boba drinks (one taro and one cookies and cream). Our meal was pretty standard, all the food tasted good and was well-prepared. The service was efficient and polite... but afterwards, my niece and I both got sick. I found out from my sister that she ordered to-go from here recently and also go sick afterwards. It really is unfortunate because I liked this restaurant but in light of this recent incident, it'll be a while before we try them again; if we ever try them again.

The portions were generous with plenty of leftovers to pack up in takeout boxes for enjoying for another day. My favorite three were the ahi tuna, the black cod and the brilliant asian/french mash up of red Bean Creme Brulee. I also need to mention, I loved the lamb tenderloin. I am not a big lamb fan, but this New Zealand lamb was tender and non-gamey. The owners did an outstanding job of timing the dishes and engaging with our group while also taking care of other diners including non event patrons getting getting take-out and inhouse menu dining. The space is very small, but even with and almost full house, it didn't feel cramped. Even though Kwok's is right across the street from where I live, this restaurant would be at the top of my list of "I would drive out of my way to eat here"

To start, you can't go wrong with the enthusiastic welcome we always receive. Then quickly seated and wine poured. The 2026 CNY menu was fabulous, with some great surprises. The ahi tartare portion anywhere else would have been a shareable appetizer. But each person was served a large portion of delicious fresh ahi. Mmmm this course and a glass of wine could be dinner alone any other evening. The soft creamy rich egg custard was hidden under a thick seafood gravy. I really enjoyed this unique dish. The miso black cod is always flaky and delicious. And the crab fried rice it's nestled on also never disappoints. The rich New Zealand stir fried lamb and shiitake mushrooms over pea shoots was a fabulous hearty dish on this chilly March evening. The braised short ribs were so tender no knife was needed, they flaked apart with the fork. And the e mein noodles were perfectly al dente. The dinner wrapped up with a crème brûlée that only Kwok's could pull off - red bean. Creamy smooth. Not overwhelming. The perfect burnt sugar layer on top. The regular menu is just as delicious. Small inside seating area, so recommend always make a reservation. In the summer there's a fabulous patio area out front. Limited street parking.

In case you're not aware, though the name of this restaurant references a specific city in northern China and the menu has dishes from across the country, their specialty is the spicy and numbing cuisine of the Sichuan region. If you've never had this before, when you see dishes listed as spicy, they may be very different from what you're thinking. It's certainly can be a polarizing experience, with many loving this flavor and many not into it at all, but the broad menu makes this a great call for everyone. Now I love dining with others who are familiar because it lets you explore the menu through their eyes and enjoy selections made by others with taste diverse from yours. My friend picked several dishes I would've never noticed or ordered blindly this time, and I'm so happy about that. We enjoyed the cold Woodear or black fungus in chili oil, classic snow pea tips with garlic, as well as the quintessential Sichuan cumin lamb, but the other three dishes we had were 100% new to me. Those included Sichuan snails (unshelled in an oily spicy stir fry), scallops with garlic and vermicelli, and crispy spicy intestines. The snails were a win. These are small and somewhat chewy morsels that get wok fried with fried chili, chili oil, peppers and onions. The texture is similar to sautéed calamari, but a bit firmer, and the sauce coats everything with that signature numbing heat. The scallops were the big miss. This dish typically comes in the half shell with fresh scallops, but here they're using a lower quality scallop (likely frozen) and a lot of pre-minced garlic (like you'd find in a jar). It looks impressive but the scallops had absolutely not flavor and the texture was rubbery too. Skip this one for sure. The intestines were the surprise. I've had fried intestines and they crunch like a chip and have no distinct flavor that lets you know what you're eating. These were sliced on the bias and wok tossed until super crispy on the outside with a delicately chewy interior. The sauce really amplified the flavor and this all made for a great bite within the whole meal. All in all, this is a home run. If you haven't been, I urge you to check it out, as it's one of the best authentic Chinese restaurants around.

The restaurant was a cacophony of noise and conversation, I had to lean across the booth to have any chance of hearing my companion. The noise level is overwhelming if you have sensory issues at all. The decor is pretty cool.

They have a great lunch special with plenty of options which is what I'm usually there for, but outside the lunch special I love the beef chow fun with black bean sauce. Tried the chow fun at other places in town but this is still my favorite by far. The potstickers are very good and packed with meat but a bit pricey. Overall a very strong recommendation, anyone easily recommend the lunch special for anyone's first visit. Also, honorable mention to the hot and sour soup. It's always great and I bought a ton of it to get me through a few days when I got a wisdom tooth taken out :v)

My wife knows how much I love Chinese food, so when she came across a TikTok review of Palais De…read moreJade, she asked if I had ever been. I hadn't, but I had definitely heard of it. We decided to make it our next date night spot. We went on a Friday around 5:30 and it wasn't very crowded yet. They asked if we preferred a table or a booth, and we went with a booth near the front. The restaurant itself is really nice, but I'll say the booth felt a little tight. Next time, we'll probably go with a table for a bit more space. The service was top notch. The staff was incredibly attentive, and our drinks were constantly refilled. Our glasses were never empty, which always stands out. About 15 minutes after we sat down, the place filled up fast. It seemed like most people coming in had reservations, so I'd definitely recommend making one if you're planning to go after 6 pm. We decided on the Shanghai Dinner. I ordered the sweet and sour pork, and my wife got the sweet and sour chicken. I was tempted by the cashew chicken and kung pao chicken, but we'll save those for next time. The appetizers were amazing. The meal comes with spring rolls, crab rangoon, paper wrapped chicken, and honey glazed BBQ spareribs. Everything was delicious. My wife loved the paper wrapped chicken, and for me, the ribs were the standout. They were tender with just the right hint of sweetness. Honestly, I could've eaten a full plate of just those and been happy. For sides, I had the egg flower soup, which was really flavorful, and my wife had the salad. She could not stop talking about how good the dressing was. Both the sweet and sour pork and chicken were great. The sauce had that perfect tangy, slightly sweet flavor. That said, next time we probably won't order the same sauce for both dishes. I think pairing something like sweet and sour with kung pao would give a better balance with a little heat to cut through the sweetness. Overall, this place is a winner. Great food, solid portions, and the price is very reasonable at about $33 per person for the Shanghai Dinner. My wife enjoyed everything so much that after seeing another table order the duck, she's already talking about coming back to try it. I've been trying to get her to try duck for a while, so I'm looking forward to that next visit. We'll definitely be back.
