The place is so good it is almost surprising. I ordered a rice bowl and a delicious Asian pear sake, but the rice bowl was easily the most delicious I've had in Reno. Perfect flavor and seasoning, everything on the plate belonged together, and you really get your money's worth; I couldn't even finish it all and had leftovers. Great location and service too. I'll definitely be back!

This place is so good. I though i would have noodles cause i had teeth pulled but it was too early for pork belly. So good. I also had a blue heaven smoothie. So good. Omgoodness.

Finally stopped in for food to go. Had the shrimp and chicken pho. Packaged perfectly for travel. Broth in separate container from everything else so it was easy to put together at home and fresh. Flavor was phenomenal. Broth was loaded with richness. Shrimp boiled well and chicken was cooked until it was just done and very tender. Bean sprouts, mint and lime were fresh. Fried shrimp appetizers were wrapped in phyllo dough with caramelized onions. The fry was a bit soggy by the time we ate them. Large selection of pastries and beverages. Accessible for handicapped people with a large shared parking lot.

Sip of Saigon is such a cute restaurant. Limited seating both inside and outside. They offer Vietnamese dishes, beverages, and desserts. We've tried a handful of dishes. The ones that stand out for us are the vermicelli bowls and beef stew soup. Staff are friendly. It's mainly counter-service but they deliver food to your table.

Cute little restaurant with lots of flavor and exceptional service by Cameron. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations on what to order. The banh mi sandwich with pork as the protein, was very good with very fresh ingredients. The sip rice bowl with beef was very tasty. The desserts were an excellent touch to end the meal.

Food here is fresh. I ordered the Vietnamese bun bowl with shrimp to go. Came home and it was good. The only thing I would say is there is no authentic char on the shrimp and they don't give you a lot of fish sauce. The service was very friendly and the place was nice and clean upon arrival.

In the area and I wanted Asian food and soup. We tried their Rare beef Pho and Vietnamese Beef Stew with a baguette instead of noodles. A small Vietnamese menu plus coffee, desserts and Boba. I'd say kind of pricey but I enjoyed my Pho broth, meat a little tougher than I'm use to. They also have desserts which look delicious; maybe next time we can try. Service needs a little work but overall ok.

Came in for a coffee and left with a full meal and a dessert. The Ube coffee and the Vietnamese coffee or made just right. Not too sweet for the Ube coffee and a beautiful color purple. The Vietnamese coffee is very delicious also! Had the usual marinated pork bahn mi and the bread is so fresh and the sandwich was packed with all the goods. Very flavorful, too! The chocolate mousse? Cake was divine! It wasn't overly sweet and got the spot with its delicious layers! The staff is so kind and friendly and had quick service. The establishment is clean and we enjoyed the outdoor patio dining!

While in Sparks, we decided to stop by Sip of Saigon. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. The ambiance is clean, modern, and cozy, with fewer than a dozen tables, giving it a café-like vibe. Service is straightforward, order at the counter, take a number, and your food is brought to the table. The process was fast and efficient. We tried the Combination Pho and Bahn Mi, both of which were flavorful and satisfying. The Pho had a rich, well-seasoned broth, and the Bahn Mi was crunchy and delicious. However, I did notice that the Pho is priced about 20% higher than other places like Pho 999 in Reno, which offers similar quality at a lower cost. Additionally, the portion sizes were smaller than what you'd typically find at other Pho spots. Overall, it's a good spot for a quick, tasty meal, but be aware of the slightly higher prices."

I absolutely love the Vietnamese classic drip coffee and pork egg rolls here. (Only place I've ever had them at...) Both are delicious and the customer service is great. Every one is very kind and attentive. The restaurant is clean with plenty of seating space and there is parking right out front. I come here alone and its a nice, calm environment that is comfortable.

Came in for quick bite of bhan mi, and pandan dreams. Love the crunch of the Sandwhich, it's good. The service was quick.

I tried their Combination Pho, which comes with rare beef, brisket, and meatballs. The broth flavor leans toward the sweeter side compared to other places I've been to. There aren't many pho places around this area, so if you're craving a bowl of pho, this place will do the trick. However, the price is a bit high. On the plus side, they offer baked goods and pastries. I tried the triple chocolate mousse cake, which was really delicious!

New menu as of 2/2/26 with added items! Looks like menu has been expanded to have more matcha drink options. I ordered the pink petal matcha. Rose and lavender notes are subtle and nicely goes with the matcha. I thought it would be too over powering in floral scents and flavors but it is not. A nice twist to ordinary matcha. Lavender foam makes the drink creamy.

Ask the Community - Sip of Saigon

    Is the pho gluten free?

Ingredients: The rice noodles and meat in pho are usually gluten-free, but the soup can be made in a pot that was previously used for wheat-based soup. Some brands of beef stock or bouillon may also contain gluten.…

If you get the ube latte w oat milk, is it then dairy and soy free (asking for allergies)?

Unfortunately it would not be dairy free. Our Ube concentrate mix contains condensed milk. Sorry about that. Some alternatives you can try are our Horchata latte with a dairy-free milk

    What are the vegan options?

Unfortunately at this time we do not have any Vegan menu items. However, some of the dishes and drinks we have can be MODIFIED to be Vegan-friendly. For example a banh mi with only veggies or a noodle bowl with only veggies would be safe for Vegans…

    Is the ube flavor vegan?

No, unfortunately it is not vegan.

Is your restaurant a chain? Is there table service? Do you have any sugar free drinks available?

No it is not a chain. It is locally owned and operated, there is only 1 location. It is not a full sit down restaurant, and operates more as a cafe/coffee shop where you order at the counter. You can ask for any of the drinks to be unsweetened.

Is the fresh baguettes made for the banh mi vegan?

As of now, we do now have vegan baguettes !

Their breakfast menu is tempting, but it was after Eleven A.M. and I was craving a hamburger bad. My friend who accompanied me wanted a plain cheese omelette, she is a very basic eater which is her choice to only order familiar food. Boring ! Anyway, beyond the food, the service was great and the staff is wonderful. I urge anyone who hasn't tried this place to definitely add it to your list, I'm certain it will become a favorite. The only complaint is that on this particular day the kitchen was short staffed and we did wait awhile for our food to arrive, but I'm patient with these kinds of things after working in the restaurant industry for many years. So the food arrived and my eyes popped out of my head when my burger arrived, the patty was meaty and the vegetables on the burger were fresh. I chose the Mushroom Swiss burger, Wow ! Every bite was delicious and the French Fries were so crisp and delicious. I filled my belly to its limit with this meal. Oh, and my friend's omelette was unbelievable it was so fluffy and it was served steaming, every bite steam kept rising from it, it's like nothing we had ever seen, unbelievable ! As for me I probably won't be ordering a burger anywhere else. Excellent ! I did also order a Latte and it was filled to the rim and quite good. They definitely deserve 5 Stars.

"Meh" is the word that best describes Cafe Bellini. Nothing terrible but nothing amazing either,…read morejust meh. However when you consider their prices, I think there are better options for simple cafe food in town. We went with a small group of friends so I was able to see and get feedback on a few dishes. Walking through the restaurant, another guest was having Prime Rib and I thought, hmm that's an option. The Prime Rib is served with either a soup or salad starter. I opted for the Chicken Verde Soup. In all fairness the soup was pretty good. It was creamy with a slight verde chili flavor, nothing overwhelming but definitely there. My only gripe was the soup was warm but not as hot as I prefer my soups. I ordered my Prime Rib medium rare. While beautifully plated, my Prime Rib arrived more medium than rare. As a result, the main portion of the serving was more dry than I would have preferred. I don't know if was the potatoes or the gravy but something in this side dish had WAY too much salt. What didn't have enough salt, was the corn side dish. Completely lacking in flavor. My wife ordered the Southern Fried Chicken platter. Wanting to share the plate with a friend, they ordered the dish as "dark meat only". The waitress confirmed they were able to accomodate the request before we finalized our order. What was delivered was a normal serving with a leg and thigh(dark meat) but also came with a breast and wing (white meat). When we challenged the server that our order was wrong, she was assertive in her insistence that our plate did infact have dark meat only. Errr, no, it did not. I realize that educating our youth is a national challenge but if you are in the restaurant service industry, you should understand the difference between white and dark meat on a chicken. Just saying. Another friend had the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. Although she came hungry to the table, over half was left, citing that the sandwich was just too dry to eat. And no, she did not bring it home. Unfortunate. If you are looking for a simple cafe / diner experience in Reno, there are better options.

Traditional Vietnamese or Chinese cuisine IMO, is difficult to find here compared to the Bay Area. But that's not the fault of Reno, it's just the number of asian restaurants are so much fewer here and all the produce is literally imported. My goto when checking out a chinese restaurant is their chow fun noodles. Why? The noodles are perishable and if frozen the texture becomes a bit mushy, not firm. Was the noodle fresh, yes but with the cavet that it was probably imported day or two earlier. There are no local noodle makers in Reno. The dish was prepared in traditionally with a slight twist. Garlic, lots of minced garlic. Not complaining, as this is unusual for chow fun noodles to get amost a fourth of a garlic bulb worth. I ordered the mixed protein version with chicken, pork, and beef. There was a slight sweetness to the dish, which I am atributing it to sugar. Which again is unusual but a welcome addition like the garlic. My last visit was when some relatives visted from the Bay Area and we had lunch. I didn't want to take a chance on the food that they may not be used to, so we choose SK Noodle. Eveyone had their vietnamese Pho and grilled dishes and so far SK did dissapoint any of the Northern CA food snobs! I will be back.
