WOW! Should've known I would receive lousy service based on the attitude of the guy at front desk upon entering store for the first time! Brought in a suit jacket and vest to be dyed. He explained to me there could be shrinkage(0 to .5 to 1 size shrinkage could occur) because of the hot water being used during the dye process. Considering this(he explained this to me over the phone prior to me coming in) I purchased a larger size & I was ok with describred shrinkage. I Dropped off the items Tuesday and was told to come back Thursday morning to pickup(as written on my receipt) . I texted(this form of communication was used to give me a quote & provide other information) Thursday morning for a pickup time... no reply. I called a two hours later and was told items wouldn't be ready until the following day(Friday, a day later than promised). The order was was time sensitive.. he knew that. He then told me that he'd have the items ready to me by 130pm. I arrived to the store for pickup.. he handed me the items in a bag, without any explanation.. he didn't go over any of the damage that was caused or acknowledge the excessive shrinkage.. he just handed me the items and sat at his desk with the same attitude and emotionless face he had when I initially came into the store the previous day! I took out the items out of the bag ... the jacket was completely ruined...unrecognizable!!! The jacket turned into an old wrinkled faded blanket/bedsheet. The shrinkage was not the issue-- the dye process completely ruined the structure of the jacket..the lining, fuse, the lapel, buttons came off, the texture of the fabric was completely different and warped..no way possible this could be worn by anyone! I asked "will this be ok" .. with an attitude he replied "what do you mean I told you it would shrink..try ironing it" . Because I trusted him as a professional dye specialist.. I proceeded to FaceTime my seamstress to show the items while wearing them and ask if she could iron/press the jacket out & she was completely shocked! The jacket and vest were not items I found in my closet and & decided to dye for fun..the suit was brand new .. just purchased for my brother who is going to prom. I paid $450 for the suit and it was completely ruined. I kept my cool and as he suggested I immediately went to a SUIT TAILOR to take a look at the jacket and the tailor was in DISBELIEF! He told me that there was no way possible to save the jacket!! WOW! I then decided to go back to the suit store where I purchased the suit from and they could not believe the condition of the jacket. So, Golden Dye..Thanks for ruining the jacket! Thanks for the unnecessary constant attitude! Thanks for terrible customer service! Thanks for ruining a 17yr old kids PROM! Thanks for telling me "it's ok just don't pay for the service.." and completely disregarding that this was a brand new $450 suit!TERRIBLE!! read more

I want to say to anyone who's readin this to know that this place is a Gem...I Google places that dye clothin and this is one of the places that popped up and I must say I'm one overly happy customer...the quality of the dye is gr8 and the value of it is awesome...I had 46 pieces and paid $158 for 32 lbs @ $4.95lb If you bring your clothin here you will definitely be one happy customer like myself...Jesse and his crew were amazin...Jesse's mentioned to me that I might hv some Shrinkage I was a bit worried about that but I must say...yes I had a like Shrinkage but I can still wear all of my garments thanks God...it's best to brin all of your faded clothin here than shop for more...I hate Shoppin Jesse and his crew made some of my pieces look really cute than they did when I first purchased them...so I'm closin out this review by sayin... I sent these guys a box of clothes that I loved but that were growing dingy/yellow with use. I gave them the exact Pantone colors I wanted and they matched them EXACTLY!!! I am SO stoked to have breathed new life into some clothes for less money than it would cost to replace them. Better for the environment, my wallet, and the stress of finding replacements. Prior to sending them my clothes to dye, I sent them an email asking if they can fulfill my request. They said that they could dye my clothes any of the four colors I requested AND I even mentioned the materials of the items to make sure which they confirmed would not be an issue. AFTER I sent the clothes they turned on their word and said they can only dye them purple or brown due to the materials. Hmmm I thought you said those materials aren't an issue... Well, they already had my clothes at this point. Had I known in the first place they can't fulfill my request, I would have sent less pieces. I sent them 13 pieces with very clear instructions, I stated which colors I preferred and even printed out photos of the colors I wanted. I left a letter saying "if you cannot achieve my desired look then please send back as is". I wrote this because I knew businesses tend to be money hungry and don't care about quality and that's unfortunately what happened here. Half the items came shrunk and I cannot wear them because they are too small now. There was no warning of this from the company. The other garments were damaged and when I contacted them about it they blamed it on the manufacturer of the clothing. You guys should know better than to accept a request that u can't fulfill. If u are only able to dye t shirts, just say that. No need to ruin peoples clothes. I asked what they would do to alleviate the situation and they ghosted me. Didn't reply to my email. $160 down the drain. Only got about 3 wearable pieces. Stop making claims you can't fulfill. read more

DO NOT, I Repeat DO NOT TRUST Golden Dye House with your clothes. I wanted my Rick Owens leather jacket to be died all black. I was asked to send a picture to make sure the job could be done. I was warned that there could be some shrinkage and potential damage because they use extremely hot water during the dye process. I picked up my jacket and it was COMPLETELY damaged. Not some, but COMPLETELY damaged. I was never notified that my jacket was ruined prior to picking it up. As a matter of fact, they had my jacket folded up in a plastic bag as if it were in perfect condition when I got there. I asked to see the work. When my jacket was pulled out of the bag, it was unrecognizable to the point where I argued that it wasn't my garnet. I didn't realize it was mine until I saw a bag of crumbled dry leather next to my jacket. I was still charged, no apology, and was told that they warned me that there could be damage. The guy that I spoke to on the phone prior to picking up my jacket miraculously wasn't there and was probably too embarrassed to face me when I picked up my jacket. Ruined all my clothes. Tthe heat they use is so high that the fiber on my shirts were damaged and and weakened to the point of ripping when I tried to put it on. My skirt and dress that were wool shrank to the size of a 5 year old. The manager told me that it would shrink "half a size". I thought that meant going from Medium to Small at worst. I was very happy with the 2 beige pants I had Golden Dye dye to black for me. I mailed them in and they shipped my newly dyed pants back within two weeks! You have to make sure the fabric can withstand the hot dying process but if you have the right fabric they can do an amazing job. What a great service! I went through my closet and found multiple items that fit well, but that I always hesitate wearing because the colors just don't look that good on me.
