    Philly sandwich and lemonade

My husband and I came in for a small sandwich and some drinks. The staff was friendly! We took a little time deciding what to order, and they patiently waited without rushing us. We ordered the Philly steak sandwich and lemonade, and asked if they could split the sandwich. We expected the salad to be for one person, but they surprised us by giving two full portions since we were splitting the meal. That was such a thoughtful gesture! Overall, our experience was great -- delicious food, kind staff, and excellent service. Highly recommend!

Driving range- first time hitting balls!

This place is amazing and we can't wait to go back even tho it's far from home!! We were in the area to get a puppy and stopped here because the photos of the food looked really good. The food exceeded our expectations! Everything was super fresh and delicious. We ordered a Cobb Salad and a Caesar lettuce wrap. The employees were really nice, super friendly and took really good care of us. Inside was nice and cool but the patio was fun with a view of the driving range. We were inspired and decided to hit golf balls too. We will definitely drive up to Valley Center again just to go here :)

Accidently found this place when visiting Valley Center. A hard to find authentic homemade kitchen spot at the golf course. Great drinks as well. Tried Machaca burrito and a Shawii bagel. Love this place. Very diferrent from other all restaurants. Great service, very friendly, country feel vibe, view to the golf course and fresh ingredients.

The best sandwich ever (grilled veggie melt, add bacon)

My husband and I stopped here on our way home from Harrah's. When we drove up I was a little bummed to see it's just a small kitchen, in a trailer, next to a golf course. Dear reader, I am happy to report that I am currently eating the most amazing sandwich of my life! I ordered the grilled veggie melt and added bacon with sweet potato fries. I was expecting the usual peppers, spinach, and onion... this baby is loaded with asparagus, artichokes, spinach, red onion, and tomatoes. A thin layer of shredded cheese is used on the outside of the bread to give it the perfect crispy texture without destroying the roof of your mouth. The bacon was thin and crispy but still juicy! And the sweet potato fries are waffle cut and tossed in cornmeal giving them a to die for crunch! It's counter service but the staff is very attentive. A great find all around!

This is the restaurant connected to the Native Oaks Golf Club in Valley Center, CA. The food is so tasty. I love getting fresh salads here for lunch. They also have a fun Happy Hour on Wednesdays and sometimes host events like paint-n-sip nights. Staff here are super nice and clientele are down to earth. Highly recommend!

I ordered the french dip but asked for no horseradish. Sandwich arrived slathered in mayo (not an ingredient on the menu). I asked for a new sandwichand offered to pay. They said no need to pay. Kitchen delivered a new "plain" sandwich. Just bread! Shawii refunded my bill! Looking forward to visiting again and having a better experience.

Stopping by this restaurant on the golf course will not disappoint. Starting off with the atmosphere. It is so relaxing. There are seating options inside and out. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful they have so much knowledge on the whole menu so don't be afraid to ask questions! The food was AMAZING. I got the so cal chicken sandwich and it was so fresh and filling. It is served on a brioche bun and that it was so fluffy! My boyfriend got the firebird. It was FULL of flavor. The dressing on the chicken was spicy but not too overwhelming, combining that heat with the coleslaw was a combination to die for! Definitely will be returning whenever I am in the area. Shout out to chef Amy!! She has so much passion for what she does and you can taste it in every bite!

Crystal was helpful and friendly. And though it was a hot day, the partially shaded patio was comfortable.

We noticed…read moreseveral park eateries were closed for lunch; and the ones open mainly served hot dogs and hamburgers (not what we wanted). So we checked Yelp for the next best thing nearby and found the "Sunny Side Kitchen". I'm not a vegetarian, but my Vegan Panini (with a pickle slice and fresh fruit cup on the side) was wonderful. That freshly baked sourdough bread sandwich was so juicy some avocado squirted out of an air hole in the bread onto my shirt. Luckily water was nearby to quickly wipe away any future stain. Recommendation: Wear a napkin on your shirt. ; ) p.s. It wasn't crowded for a Tuesday lunch; and owner Kate added great conversation and promoted neighboring "Esco Gelatto" as a good place for dessert, but we were too full. We'll save room next time.

It's a cute, casual mom and pop breakfast/lunch joint that specializes in paninis and salads. The restaurant is tiny inside. They have a few tables for dining in but they are really close together. I would say it would be best to pick up and to go. You can order at the counter but it seems most people use the QR code on the table to order online. Our paninis were good and I enjoyed the seasoned cheese herb crunch on the sourdough but the food is overpriced. A full panini is $18-23 and comes only with a tiny sample sized cup of fruit. The drinks are $6. The panini also had minimal chicken and filling so most of my bites were of bread. For those prices, I would expect at least a decent side such as a salad or chips. Also the service is minimal where you order online, you bus your own plates, and when asked for water I get a tiny cup for dining in- so asking for tip on top of these prices (over $25 per person) is hard to justify especially in Escondido.

It was expectedly busy on a Saturday at 1pm, but we found parking easily, in the large lot and were greeted and seated right away. Hubs was hungry for breakfast, but I was craving fries and chicken. No worries, both were available. After giving our order, we relaxed back and took in the crazy decor around us. It seems as if the theme here was a bit lighter than Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean - the first part, just after leaving "the dock", when you're meant to feel like you're floating through a bayou - but also trying to incorporate some part of "Life on the Mississippi", maybe? With a bit o' the French Quarter thrown in for good measure. Cute and lots of eye candy. Our food arrived and both meals were hearty portions. Hubs went with a 3 egg platter w/ 1/2lb Hickory smoked ham, subbing thick-cut fries instead of country red potatoes and white toast. I chose the California Chicken, hold bun, hold tomato and it was presented beautifully on a bed of fresh Bibb lettuce w/avocado and bacon, which was cooked nicely. The thick fries were also good. Both of us were happy with our meals and friendly service. We would happily return when visiting the area again. Cheers! "CC"
