I can only put so much into words, her photographs speak for themselves. So much anxiety comes into planning for a senior and graduation. I'm about details and take pride in having an wanting the very best for my Ohana. A big detail in being a senior is the portraits. Photography keeps a moment from running away. Phoenix captured a mile stone for my "baby." Although she may change, the picture won't. Phoenix captured more than I can even have asked for. Sooooo many photographers to choose from. I had been eye balling them for over a year. KM Ivelisse stuck out to me. A particular photo session that I would even share with others, because it touched my heart so much. A wife, mother, and beautiful woman that lost her active duty husband while pregnant. It wasn't by combat but rather a motorcycle accident. Being a military spouse and mother myself, my heart really aches for this woman. The photos that Phoenix did for her, still brings me to tears when I look at them. These portraits even went viral on social media. There is none out there like this. This session showed passion and heart and those are the people I support. When making the selection, Phoenix just reiterates her passion for her clients. She sends the forms/contracts as any photographer would do, but more. She sent an "about me questionnaire." The cutest details from favorite music, weird things someone might not know about you, and MUCH MUCH more. Why? Because she genuinely wants to know you and cares. We weren't sure on where to pick for a location. We knew our vision and explained it to her. She did her own hunting and sent us pics of locations and ideas too. I seriously and literally mean THE EXTRA MILE. The day of the shoot. She arrives ready, fun, energetic, and with that heart and passion that I knew was the right pick for us. It was like having fun with a family member and creating memories with her. Start to finish her emails and correspondence aren't generic. They are SO DETAILED with next steps, how long, extra you can get...I'm talking second to NONE on her detailing everything out. New Year's morning we get to wake up to the finished project. Tears of joy and love for this amazing work of art from an amazing woman. She captured all we were looking for, and were not even done. *more tears* I can't thank you enough for EVERYTHING! HNL Studios...how can I even describe how God has blessed my husband and me by finding such an…read moreamazing business to handle our wedding photography/videography?   I initially found HNL Studios years ago through an old classmate of mine; I loved the style of her wedding photos and I wanted something similar for when I got married.  So I followed them on instagram.  Fast forward 4 years later and I got engaged.  I'm the type of girl who has had her dream wedding planned in her head since she was 6 years old and I just knew that I had to have HNL Studios to do photography/videography, so I literally contacted them and my dream venue within a week of getting engaged.  My husband and I got married exactly within a year of our engagement; during that time, Keshia and Charles made it almost effortless to plan our wedding.  They were always willing to answer any silly questions we had and we had great vibes during our planning meetings. Let's fast forward to the day of the wedding.  I have no idea how Charles and his team do it, but they made everything super easy and seamless.  The photographers and videographers know exactly how to direct the couple, wedding party, etc. especially when there are some super camera-shy people.  The videographers really know how to capture the couple's love story within a few minutes.  The photobooth staff was so professional and fun, it was such a big hit at the reception.  Not to mention the props are super fun!  Romeo Valentine was super great with emceeing/DJ'ing our reception - shoe game ftw!  Such a great team and professional staff! Fast forward to our gallery and wedding video reveal.  Again, I have no idea how they did it, but they managed to capture all the warmth and fun that we had on our wedding day.  It was so hard for me to pick only 120 pictures for our wedding album because so many of the pictures were spectacular and eye-catching.   I know that wedding photography/videography packages can be very expensive, but trust me, this was worth every single penny.  What's amazing about HNL Studios, is that weddings are THEIR THING.  The heart and intentionality that is put behind every wedding that they capture is evident in the quality of the photos and videos they produce. I booked them for my upcoming wedding and got the package that includes an engagement shoot. Keshia was so helpful since the very beginning. She is always checking on me to see if there's anything I need help with and with this pandemic, there have been many changes in plans for my wedding. :( But, HNL has been SUPER understanding and helpful. My fiance and I took our engagement photos in January and we LOVE how our photos turned out! It was exactly what I wanted and they captured both us and the beautiful scenery perfectly! I love that we get to know them (and vice versa) before the big day so we could both get comfortable around one another. My fiance and I have never taken professional photos before so it was a bit awkward at first but, after HNL explained the different poses, it was a breeze! For my photo shoot I selected 2 outfits as well as an outdoor setting. I also opted for the makeup and hairstyling on site, which was a great service to offer. It took away a lot of my anxiety. Dorys, the makeup artist and hair stylist, spent over an hour on making me look fantastic. After I changed into my first outfit, Tracy started on the first shoot. She took lots of shots and did adjustments, then we looked at the photos. And she took some more photos. Tracy really knows what works, how to pose, and adjust for small details. As this was a destination wedding for us, all of our communications were primarily via email. Bianca was always very responsive and helpful in her replies, which definitely gave us a lot of reassurance during a very hectic time in which so much planning, coordination, and decisions needed to be made. On the actual day of, Bianca and her team worked tirelessly through a grueling half day session taking endless photos for various group photos, attire changes, a tea ceremony, reception dinner, and of course, the actual wedding ceremony itself.
