It is very popular around 6:30 and the menu has multiple pages to give a variety of food to order. This place is amazing!!! Ate there today around 2pm and felt like a queen with the amazing treatment! The food is very authentic, tasty, and so fresh! The egg drop soup had so much flavor and the fried noodles that they give you for the soup, I could have eaten 3 bowls of them, so good! Sesame chicken and fried rice were made fresh and served piping hot! This restaurant is so cute inside and very welcoming and warm! Service really is top-notch!!! The sushi rolls are great! The Chinese food is great! The soups were amazing and I loooooved the Big bowl of soup chips they served with them- crunchy and tasty and not stale at all! The service was also wonderful. It was very busy and we were still served beautifully. The sushi was presented nicely, but definitely had some issues. The tuna was cut wayyy too thick and was frozen a bit. The rice under the sushi had a great flavor. I ended up just having some texture issues, it didn't seem the best quality. The flavor of the food at Golden Grill is amazing. I get the lo mein and mein fun with veggies as takeout then add shrimp to it at home. The mein fun is soft, slightly chewy, mostly translucent, and gluten free. At Golden Grill, it's so much food that I split it into 2 servings. I like the broccoli (which holds sauce well), the mushrooms, and the thinly sliced veggies. They don't skimp on the veggies or egg, and the overall flavor is so savory that it doesn't need any spice added. I like how there's not a lot of cabbage. It's salty but not too salty and has a teriyaki or grilled flavor. This restaurant is also a little less expensive than other Asian restaurants, as it's in the middle of nowhere. The restaurant is clean, and the staff are friendly. I don't always tip, but I tipped well when I just went, and I plan on visiting more often. read more

We live in VA but love to eat here. Their sushi is amazing and they do have a wide variety to choose from. Their entrées are also flavorful and portion sizes are VERY generous. Additionally, they offer your typical alcoholic beverages-including saki - and, they also offer a very decent wine selection. I would definitely recommend this place and I will absolutely return here for their sushi and specialty dishes. Now, the bad: waiting time to be seated suck. Honestly, I've waited less time at Chicago bus stops than here to be seated...even when there are clearly available seats. Then, once seated, you wait some more. There is no sense of urgency to seat a customer here, waiting staff and the hostess, if she could be called that, are totally oblivious to the fact that there are humans in the restaurant who wish to pay them money for food. To be honest, it almost seems like they're doing you a favor by letting you eat there. This is the biggest issue here. I can't blame the cooking staff because, in all honesty, the food is good. I can kinda blame the waiting staff because if they see potential customers (who will tip them) they should bring it to the attention of the hostess. First and foremost, the food here has been great. The selection of sushi has been great, and I know good sushi. The food has also been great. The food gets 4.5 stars from me. The sashimi is a must try. Now why the 3 stars? Service is SUPER lacking. It's not just when you are seated. It's the waiting to be seated even when there are multiple tables available The waitresses look at you, doesn't acknowledges you and you wait, then you wait some more. After 10 minutes if you are lucky they ask you how many in your party? I mean they clearly see we are only 3. The same 3 that have been waiting for over 10 minutes. Once you tell them the number in your party, you wait another 10 minutes. Mind you, I see multiple open tables. I've been holding back writing this review and I have visited this place over 7 times. Same thing each and every time. Once you are seated you wait again. Not even an offer to take my drink order. That's why the 3 star review. The food also does take a while to come out but good food is worth the wait! I'm just not sure anymore wanting to come back and dine in because of their lack of attentiveness to a customer who well spends over $100 each time. Next time I will be order and pick up. The service was horrible! We waited over an hour to get our food. There were patrons who came in and ordered after us but received their food before us. It's important to note we were the only African American patrons in this establishment. When we inquired as to what was taking so long the manager told us that the waitress had not put our order in and they were rushing our order. We could have and should have canceled our order just then but we said okay we will wait. Once we got our food we asked the manager to compensate us for the inconvenience by giving us a discount. Business opened at 12 on a Sunday and was extremely packed not long after. For good reason though. The food here is always great. Usually I order takeout, but I wanted to dine in this particular day. My go-to for apps is always the spare ribs, and my wife always orders the sushi. Both were extremely flavorful, Eel and California roll to be specific. Wonton soup with chips is a must in my book. So flavorful and fresh tasting. We both had the General Tso chicken and loved it. The rice was fried to perfection and chicken had an amazing light crispy fry to it. We had a party of thirteen and was trying to shop local to support Roxboro businesses, but the manager told us that she couldn't do anything about our late order.
