Good service just a little slow. Food was ok. Steaks were good on a scale of 1 to 10 about a 6.5. Relaxed atmosphere.

My husband and I ate here tonight and the steak was one of the best I have ever eaten. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Landon is an amazing waiter. My husband's drink never got empty. (Which is a feat in itself.) They are changing the interior to update the feel inside. As long as the food remains this good, I don't care about the decor. Keep up the great job y'all! Oh!! I have been to hundreds of fine restaurants but this one is ridiculous!!!! We waited over 2 hours for our food that we never got!!! The owner said s loud and obnoxious and only complains the whole time we was there!!! Cooks are cooking food with huge boogers in their nose, this was an awful experience!!!! We had reservations at 7:30. It was 810 before we ever got our order taken. We sat there with no service getting us refreshed on drinks until I stood up to go to the bathroom and then she came over there to see what we needed.. At 9 o'clock, we ask about our steaks and we're told they have not even been put on the grill yet. Remind you we had 730 reservations so at 9:45 I go up to ask the waitress exactly how much longer it will be. The owner proceeds to go off on me for having the audacity to ask what time our food will get to our table that we've been waiting at for 2 1/2 hours. They offered us some rolls. The owner threw his hands up, curse me and walked away meanwhile his side, Cook was standing there over the steaks with a big slimy mucus, green snot wide hanging out of his nose over steaks. I was very calm when I spoke to the waitress as the owner proceeded to interrupt my conversation with her could not get them to give me a time our food would be ready. Meanwhile, I talked to my friend and we decided to just leave she wanted to pay for the drinks. I did not so I stopped at the counter on the way out and asked our waitress how much we owe for drinks she told us it was on them. Wow, that really made up for a shitty night. As I was leaving, I told him to tell his Cook to get his booger out of his nose before it fell on somebody's steak. He asked me again I repeated myself and then he tried to get me to come back. I am a single woman that was in there with a single friend, and this man was very aggressive, rude obnoxious, and cannot handle a sold out restaurant. I took my leaders here for our leadership outing dinner. It was the first time for most of us. This seems to be a long running place in town. The interior is kind of interesting. Bright lights, carpet and some exposed brick. We shared the cheese sticks and spinach dip. Not to be rude but cheese sticks are a serious thing in Columbus and these were fine but probably around 5th best. The dip was ok but didn't seem to have cream, cream cheese or sour cream in it. Mostly cooked down spinach with some cheddar cheese on top. It also wasn't a show stopper. What was the show stopper? The steak! Their ribeyes are cut in a way that most purists would likely scoff at. They cut the fat cap off! So you get more meat than fat. I'm down with this! My medium rare steak had an amazing char on it and was still nice and red. I cannot WAIT to comeback again! read more

Went to Golden Horn for dinner tonight with my husband and I must say, WOW! We've had our fair share of good steaks back home in Houston, but I've got to say that the steak we had here has got to be one of the bests we've had. The ribeye was so juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The service was pretty good as well. Our server was super sweet and attentive. We loved the casual atmosphere. Our first time here: The ribeye was just ok, it was cooked perfect but it didn't have much flavor. It needed more seasoning. The grilled chicken was slightly over cooked, but the twice baked potatoes were Fabulous, and the house salads balsamic vinaigrette dressing was the best I've ever had! We ordered to go food here tonight and one hour later the server came up and told us it would be about 20 more minutes. We canceled our order since it obviously hadn't dropped. We heard the server tell the owner then he got mouthy. It's obvious why they aren't more successful. I feel sorry for the servers having to put up with that owner! read more

Overall disappointing! #1. I asked for a Dr.Pepper which came out flat so I asked for a coke instead. I was told by the waitress that all other drinks would be flat too. When I asked her if she could change out the flat drinks, I was told "no". #2. My friends steak was well done. Once she let the waitress know , instead of her apologizing & fixing it right away, we were told "if you order anything past medium, there's no guarantee it'll come out right." Eventually. She took the steak away & offered to make her steak over. Which was nice but after being a server for many years, my experience at this place wasn't that great. However, we did enjoy ourselves. Visited 5/6/23 and will absolutely never be back. We had a reservation at 5:45, and ordered our food at 6. WE DID NOT GET OUR FOOD UNTIL AFTER 7. Food was wrong (ordered a steak sandwich which is on a hoagie bread per the menu, and it arrived on a sourdough hamburger bun..). Our server checked on us a couple of times over the span of the hour and never mentioned how our food took OVER AN HOUR. Never saw or was offered to talk to a manager either. Bad. This place was bad from start to finish. Well, once I got there. Online, they look great. The food looks good, and so do the prices. So, imagine my surprise when I picked up my to go order - they have the menu online, with a special to go menu - and the hostess tells me my total...39% more than it should have been. Yeah. Ouch. Well, I wasn't too happy. But, I paid, and took it back to my hotel. I got the fried mushrooms, which is one of my favorite things, and one of the reasons I picked Golden Horn. Mushy and lacking in flavor, they were not great. The ranch is watery and has a weird grainy texture. I ordered the salmon, cooked medium, with salad and rice. I love salmon. Love it. Eat it all the time. I've been to some amazing restaurants when I lived in CA, and in Vegas, with amazing salmon. Obviously I lowered my expectations for Mississippi. Not low enough though. The salmon came with two pieces of asparagus, which were painfully coated in lemon juice. We're talking drenched. The salmon was raw. Not medium. Raw. As in not even flaky. It was also so lemon sour that I couldn't eat much. The rice wasn't even cooked all the way through. The salad was tiny, with the same weird ranch, and bruised lettuce. I got a dessert as well - key lime pie. It's more like lime cream in a shell. The crust is too thin, and the filling is basically fluff. Not good fluff. Just nasty lime, no where near enough sugar to create a balance. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience. Oh, and they give you more saltines then salad for "crackers" for your salad. So you can get rid of the flavors that get stuck in your mouth from the rest of the food. read more

Horrible service. Food was decent. Can get pretty much the same at a chain steakhouse. Took 30 min to get apps. Then another 30 or more to get food. Waitress left the drink pitchers on another table thank God because she never came around. They were not busy at all. Had to ask for flatwear after we had to get some off another table to eat apps with because the waitress never came back until she brought food out. This place is a little out of town, the food was excellent cooked the way I asked and great flavor. Service was ok but not very friendly.

I am writing this review for my daughters and their dates last night (3/19/21). Both of them have eaten at the restaurant many times before, but last night the service was horrible. They had to wait approximately 2 hrs for their meal. Their server never checked on them to see if they needed refills, or if their meal was ready. Thank goodness another server came by and assisted them. She even told them that they could have their desert taken off of bill. However the original server said they couldn't do that., nor did she even show them what the deserts were. She offered no apology for the meal being late, or for her not checking on them. She was a young girl, but that is no excuse for not doing your job. One of my daughters even said she was just rude, and they will not be going back. How sad for a restaurant with excellent food, but has a server who didn't do her job. By the way, my daughters and their dates are adults, and one of my daughters use to be a waitress when Woody's was opened, so she knows how to accommodate her customers. Not good. For starters they wanted to sit my family of 4 (2 kids) in the bar area. Bad form considering I had a reservation... The restaurant was fairly empty and the hostess wanted to sit us in the bar... Not the atmosphere I wanted for my wife's birthday dinner. We were offered a table in another room that was more in line with what we wanted. Issue: After seating us we waited 15 minutes for somebody to take our drink order... After getting our drinks... the hostess went to another table took drink orders AND FOOD ORDERS for a group that arrived about 5 minutes after us... 30 minutes later they are eating and we are still waiting for our food... Bad form (x2)... 1 hr and 20 minutes later our food finally arrived... The folks that arrived after us were already on coffee and desert. Never again. read more

The only major complaint I have with golden horn is that they're way over priced. It was fun to go check it out and to get a decent steak but for how much we paid I don't think we'll be back. Sorry. Let me start with saying one of the best steaks we have had in a while. We all did the filet chunk blackened and all 3 were excellent. The sides were great as well and the atmosphere was as it has been for years not bad at all. Our waitress was not great however, in her defense she got busy which put us in a position to get our own sauces and refills. She started good but was not able to shuffle the work load it did not appear. We will definitely be going back and would highly recommend if your looking for a great steak! read more

Went to eat here for my birthday a couple years ago and forgot to leave a review.. so I'm doing it now. Was excited to have a night out with friends and family while enjoy some great food.... that's not what happened. We wait forever on menus and drinks. Everything took WAY longer than it should have, which made the night stressful. I can't remember exactly, but I think some of our orders got messed up too.
