Beautiful experience and such a sweet gift from my husband... up until the end. We're locals, so it was nice to have a little staycation. My husband surprised me with an appointment here, and once we arrived, I thought maybe I'd treat myself to getting my nails done too. My husband had already booked a package for both of us. I will say they definitely try to upsell bigger packages, even when you already have services booked, and there were added charges that weren't clearly explained unless you asked. My husband originally wanted a basic pedicure, but they convinced him to upgrade to match mine. Fine -- we decided to just enjoy and treat ourselves. My technician told me that gel polish was included with my pedicure, so I agreed to do it. Later, when we received the bill, there was an additional charge for the gel. My husband mentioned that I had been told it was included, but they said it was still extra. Okay, fine. I then asked the same technician if she had time to do my nails. She explained she already had another appointment and would place me with someone else, which I completely understood since it was a last-minute request. I told them I wanted something simple, nothing extravagant. I was quoted a price that seemed different from what was listed on their website, so I politely asked why. She seemed bothered by the question and explained it was because I wanted a certain shape. I said, "Oh okay, I understand." I then asked the difference between two services because they sounded very similar on the menu. She explained it, but then added, "That one is more expensive." Maybe it wasn't intended that way, but the comment felt unnecessary after my husband and I had already spent a good amount on services. I understand this is a high-end salon, and maybe these kinds of charges or questions are normal for their regular clientele, but personally it came across a bit judgmental and uncomfortable. At that point, I simply asked if they could remove what had already been started (just one nail on one finger), because I no longer wanted my nails done. I felt uncomfortable and didn't want to sit through the appointment feeling like I had to prove I could afford to be there. I actually left crying because of how judged the interaction made me feel. Maybe I'm just a tired-looking mom trying to treat herself, but being made to feel judged for asking simple questions really changed the experience for me. read more

I decided to get my nails done upon my arrival to Vegas for a conference. I do love how conveniently located this salon is to the airport - very easy to get to in 10 min via car. The space itself is really nice - large and clean with plenty of stations. The woman who did my nails was so great and friendly - we chatted about our fake eyelashes haha. And I appreciated that she was able to accommodate my vision for a dual cat eye. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was that I had booked an appointment but didn't end up getting seated until 30 minutes after my appointment time. I had a lunch reservation that I was late to because I wasn't taken when I had expected to be despite the front desk man telling me it'd be fine. I knew we wouldn't have enough time so I was a little frustrated when I ended up being right after all. Also the gel, while it lasted okay, it started looking pretty dull after 2-3 weeks which I didn't love. So it's a good spot for a last minute appointment and they can definitely do great gel nails with designs, but I wouldn't recommend being in a hurry and the longevity might be compromised! read more

Only thing I didn't like was that I got a sheer polish and she two coats of it on ONE of my big toes so it looks darker than the rest and my toes and random shades lol??? The woman who did my gel x refused to manual file my nails when I asked... I've never had a tech say no to that. I don't like how the electric drill damages my nails. She also put on a thick coat of gel for the gel X so it burned pretty bad while in the gel lamp... easily preventable. She also let me leave with two chipped nails. Overall the manicurist was careless and uninterested in providing me with the service I asked for. With this mani pedi costing $170, I'm not expecting a rush job but that's what I got. Lastly she removed my cuticles with the electric drill as well after I asked her to leave them on. At that point, I responded that it didn't seem like there was any real intention to service me anyway, given the wait and overall experience. Why am I waiting for my nail polish to dry in 2025 when just about everyone gets gel, you may ask - welp, that's because they want an extra $20 (yes, 2 0) to paint gel instead of polish. I suppose you could attribute some up charge to the electricity for the UV to cure it, but I digress. I will not, on principle, pay an extra $20 to avoid waiting for paint to dry. HOWEVER - I really want to leave a rave because every single other thing about coming here has been perfection! The space is super nice! The staff are all incredibly considerate, professional. Everyone is working diligently, but not in a factory type vibe and seems to enjoy their jobs. From check in to even waiting for my nails to dry, Shayla has been wonderful! This was my go to nail salon and I even started bringing my teens here when we have a mommy / daughter date . This last visit was really disappointing when I got a fill and the tech Vi asked if I wanted my nails cut down from the growth. Since my nails have to remain pretty short due to work, I can't have them more than 1/2 in long. I said yes, and then before polishing she informed me there would be a 10.00 cut down fee after she had already cut them down. I've been here dozens of times and I've never had a "cut down" fee with a $10.00 expense. I feel that is outrageous beings that anyone that typically gets a fill has their nails shortened the length of growth. I come faithfully every 2-3 weeks so this isn't like it was 2 months of growth. Unfortunately since I feel like this was an intentional "fee" since I was honored the 15% off local discount I'll go back to the salon that is closer to my home that doesn't add hidden fees. I liked golden hour due to the hours and convenience but when you take advantage of a Loyal customer that speaks volumes about a business . Late post from Thursday, 10/17. Read the reviews and decided to give this place a shot. Called to clarify what the treat me like a king/queen package included and the gentleman who answered the phone was very polite when answering my question and told me I could come right in. Was greeted promptly upon arriving and told to pick my color and have a seat. I got Vi and let me tell you she was amazing. The package was a bit pricey, but well worth it. It starts with a foot soak, warming eye mask, chair massage and hand massage with a paraffin wrap. Next came the much needed pedicure. She was very gentle while cutting/trimming which I appreciate as I had a bad experience a few years back from which I am still traumatized. This was followed by the first massage and another foot soaking. Next up was the hot rocks massage and paraffin wrap. Rinse off and another massage. By now I was pretty much in heaven and that's when she brought out the water (my beverage of choice), grapes, cheese and crackers. I snacked while she worked on painting my toes. All in all, it was an excellent experience and I will definitely be a repeat customer. Highly recommend Golden Hour Nails Spa and Vi herself. read more

Great service, but very expensive. My husband and I treated ourselves to the King and Queen pedicure. We had appointments but didn't get in until 20 minutes after we arrived. They offered us to get in sooner but if we did, one of us would have had to sit in a broken spa chair with no massager. Neither of us wanted to do that considering the pedicures were $150 per person. The service with the mask, steamer, snacks (mini premade charcuterie) and beverage were great. The ladies who had us gave great massages. My two star docks is having to pay extra for my gel metallic nail polish (extra $40) on top of the $150. And also the environment not being very relaxing. You can hear the planes take off and land, other peoples phones or conversations nearby, and the TV. At times I tried to relax, it was hard to because I found the environment overstimulating with the noise. Overall great service, glad I tried it, but I wouldn't do it again. read more
