The egg drop wonton soup is divine, as is the Almond Boneless chicken. I always order the chicken with garlic sauce extra spicy and it's always just right. When I do delivery, it has always been fast, the food is packed extremely well, they give you a lot, and the price is reasonable. Now, this is not high end food. If you are coming here to get gourmet Chinese food, you're going to be disappointed. It is classic, hole-in-the-wall Americanized Chinese food. The sweet and sour chicken has bright red sauce. The almond chicken has a thick gravy. The egg roll is greasy and perfect. The wonton soup is comforting. I wouldn't change it for anything and this is my favorite Chinese place in the area. I've eaten here a few times and I haven't been too disappointed. The people behind the counter are always very friendly, and the food is prepared quickly. Their prices are reasonable as well. The food here isn't the greatest though. It's decent, but it's not mind blowing or anything. As an example, I really like spicy food - the hotter the better - and I always tell them that when I order. Despite my requests, my food is always bland tasting. I usually have to take it home and dump on the Sriracha to liven it up a bit. I'm sure if you shop around the area you can find better Chinese for the money. Pass the fortune cookies and everything else at all other Chinese places in town. I was skeptical to see so many great reviews for this place when we have tried so hard to find a decent Chinese takeout in this area. This is why I love Yelp! Just when I had all but given up, I find this place on here. Seriously one of the best Chinese dinners I have had especially for the value! The food is not over sauced or salty for starters. The chicken is all white meat, including the chicken in the fried rice that comes in combination plates (which I highly recommend trying). This fried rice is way better than pork fried rices at most places. They do not use msg to boot. The portions are generous and great for sharing. Even though all the food was good quality, the absolute best thing we tried were the crab rangoons. They were crisp, flaky, and not at all oily like you have come to expect. The warmed red dipping sauce is a great accomplishment. On a final note to make this place too good to be true, the staff here are super polite, quick, and friendly. The food was delivered fresh and hot! It was delicious, good quality, and not greasy. The chicken was also of great quality, all white meat. The serving portion was large and they do not skimp on anything. We really liked their online ordering system. It was easy to use and very convenient. It clearly keeps track of your order, cost, and lets you choose options, such as spice level. The delivery was very quick and came in less time than they anticipated. The food was packaged well. I had given up on good Chinese food in Perrysburg. How did I just discover this place?? I drive past this restaurant all of the time, but never see any cars there, so really didn't pay much attention. MY MISTAKE! It's fabulous! I highly recommend the dumplings- steamed or panfried, they are delicious, and the sauce that comes with it has chunks of fresh stuff in it- garlic, maybe? My husband gets the beef with mushrooms, which is super yummy. The kids love the sweet and sour chicken, of course. Big portions, and awesome, recyclable take out containers. I think they do most of their business through take out and delivery, as the inside of the restaurant leaves much to desire. I never gave this place much mind until i randomly decided to try it. I am so glad i did! this is my go-to standard Chinese food. First off, they dont use MSG and the chicken is white meat with no weird mystery pieces in it. the eggrolls are great, dumplings great, best lo-mein ive ever had, and they do not skimp on portions. Lunch prices are super cheep. delivery is allways hassle free and i order from there more times than id care to admit too. i recently found out they also have pretty decent breakfast of all things. Service is allways great. the inside isnt fancy but its also extremely cheep food that taste really good. most people do take out and thats why the parking lot seems empty. We ordered delivery on a Friday night, and had it within 30 minutes. Everything was hot, well packed and all of the order was there. They also included soy sauce, hot mustard, duck sauce, napkins, silverware and plates without us even asking. Also, if you order online there are multiple coupons you have the option to add on to get free eggrolls, pop, etc. We got the crab rangoons for an appetizer, and my fiancé had the pepper steak combo and I had the sesame chicken combo. You get chicken fried rice and a chicken eggroll with a combo. Both meals were delicious! There weren't any sketchy chicken pieces either lol. The only thing that knocked a star off for me were the rangoons. There is just about zero filling. They're like little fried puffs of air. The tiny bit of filling that was in there was good, but just not even close to being enough. Overall, definitely recommend but pass on the rangoons. read more

I have lived very close to this place for 6 years and always wondered about it since, as mentioned in another review, the parking lot is always empty. After reading the other reviews, I decided to give it a whirl. Not only do they have a very good online ordering system, the food was cooked quickly and was piping hot when we picked it up. We had vegetable lo mein with a nice variety of veggies. The orange chicken was tasty and with our $25 purchase, we got 2 free egg rolls. I would definitely try them again. read more

Been ordering from Golden House for almost 4 years. The food was always pretty good and big portions, no lie there. Few mistakes in ordering delivery, buy hey that happens. The last few times I ordered my patience has worn out. 1) I signed up for ordering thru their website. Huge mistake. Inside my bag was a computer printout full size paper with ALL my personal info. Full Name. Address. Credit card number in FULL not just the last 4 digits with a bunch of x's as in xxxx2345. CVC code from the back of the card! Oh and my freaking birth date!!! So glad they did not ask for my SS#. My gosh. Seriously??? 2) Few more orders would go by, quit using online was a little too scared, don't know how many times I said you can keep the Soy sauce I just want a 3-4 hot mustards. Never even got one, just Soy, on three orders in row. Not the end of the world, still not good service. 3) This last meal was it. Ordered vegetable Chow Mein and not only was it 97% onion (2 pieces of broccoli, one snow pea, few slices of carrots and perhaps 6 small pieces of mushrooms).....it had small pieces of chicken in it.I am not lying.
