Between 3.5-4.0 This restaurant is perfectly located across from the Stranahan Theater and we met here for a pre-concert dinner. It's in a strip mall but the inside ambiance is rather cozy. They do not serve alcohol, in case that matters. They do serve complimentary tea though. In ordering entrees, there is a soup included with no additional charge. We ordered two chicken rice soups and a chicken noodle soup. One person wanted the vegetable soup but it wasn't available. My chicken rice soup was predominantly rice with maybe three bits of chicken and little soup. The two others in our party seemed to enjoy their soup. For entrees, one ordered Mu Shu Chicken, another the Sweet & Sour Chicken and I originally ordered Chicken with Asparagus but was later told they didn't have asparagus so I opted for Chicken with Peapods. I have included photos of our entrees below. For two of us, the entrees were barely warm but the Mu Shu Chicken entree was reportedly hot. For some reason, the service was rather slow even though the restaurant wasn't crowded. Our young server tried hard and seemed to be hurrying to each of the few tables. Overall, it seemed that the restaurant had a lot of carryout orders and the customers dining in did not appear to receive priority treatment. The food once served was decent quality- though two entrees weren't hot enough- not that we would send them back. I'm sure leftovers will taste better once fully heated. I found a magnet from this chinese place on my fridge. I don't remember ever coming here so I figured I would check it out. They have convenient online ordering on their website. You can also from grubhub but only a portion of the menu is on there. I liked that you can order single egg fuh hung without making it a whole meal. I got a single chicken egg fun hung, general tso plate, and chicken n vegetables plate. The plates come with fried rice and egg roll for about $16. Pick up is at the front of the restaurant and easy peasy. No credit card fee and the order was accurate. Check out the packaging. Very nice n neat and fit in one bag. I was looking for a cardboard box with a bunch of those white boxes most Chinese spots have. General tso had really good flavor with plenty of sauce. Maybe mild spicy. Fried rice was yummy with no dreaded peas in it. I hate peas. My sweetie said his chicken n veggies tasted great. Price was right and had leftovers that tasted good the next day. The quality of the food is consistently high, and even if there are occasional mishaps, they don't detract from the overall enjoyment. I can confidently say that I've never encountered any issues or negative experiences during my visits. I'm also personally acquainted with a long-time employee and her mother who work there, both of whom are incredibly delightful. My husband and I recently picked up food from Yangs. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The staff were rude. The food was not as listed in the menu and a white woman uses more seasoning in their food. We requested water to drink, then were given glasses that held about 3 ounces of liquid. Forget about getting refills, they barely came to the table. We've been frequenting Yangs for over a decade. It's been a little disappointing for us lately. Our noodles were dry and flavorless, won ton soup was also very disappointing. Two orders ago our dishes were wrong but we just tried to enjoy them anyway. This time the won ton tasted different and then we realized there was very little meat and all noodle. Yangs has always been our favorite chinese restaurant. So much so that when we want chinese we drive across town for it. Tonight they made the first ever mistake in our order. That has never haopened in 20 years of going there. Ordered sweet & sour chicken online and when we got home sadly it was sweet & sour pork. Highly disappointing but when I called they applogized and I will have a credit waiting for me. I would hsve driven back over there but it was 10 minutes until closing. Pretty solid fast food Chinese at great prices. I would pick QQ Kitchen over this but QQ is also a lot pricier, and this is closer to home ... anyways it really hits the spot, way better than B.M. Chen down the street. Almond boneless chicken is delicious. I've realized that's a huge thing in Toledo for some reason...you won't hear the dish at fast food Chinese places in Columbus. But I kept reading reviews and decided to give it a try and it was quite good if you enjoy crispy chicken in generous mild brown sauce (not spicy). The fried rice that comes in combo is amazing. I always go for dinner combo!! Egg roll is quite good as well. Hot and sour soup was bland though :( I drowned it in soy sauce and it was still a bit off. Rest of the meal more than made up for it... Gourmet is a lie, it's crappy Chinese food. I ordered the combo garlic chicken, it came in a white gravy with no garlic. It tasted like water with some starch mixed in. My husband's plate was in the same gravy, no taste, ham fried rice (he hates ham, I said yes to different rice and agreed to pay for it). Got home, it was ham fried rice and this awful stuff. Hot and sour soup was so bad, I couldn't eat it. I called, the lady argued with me, was rude, and I hung up on her. Don't waste your time here. We tried Yang's for the first time tonight. Husband got the Szechuan chicken combo, and I got the General Tso's chicken combo. Both were absolutely delicious. The egg rolls were included and nice and fresh. Best of all, the staff couldn't be any kinder and friendly. Unfortunately with Covid they only do take out, but we drive 15 minutes home, and food was still very hot. Found my new Chinese restaurant!! read more

My family has been coming to Yangs ever since I can remember and have never been disappointed. Some of our favorites are Szechuan chicken combo, almond boneless chicken combo, sweet and sour chicken, hot and sour soup, hot tea, and their homemade hot mustard. Our service is always great (the server Linda is so cute and lovely). We love this place and get takeout every few weeks. Pro tip: if you get the hot and sour soup for takeout you need to eat it all the day you get it. It does not reheat we'll probably because of the cornstarch. read more

I recently found out about Yangs from Uber Eats. I was awash curious about them on my trips to the DMV, but never stopped in and that was a mistake. The food is constantly good, and the service is friendly. For a vegetarian option, I'd recommend the Sautéed Mushroom and Broccoli. The portions are huge and inexpensive, so I usually get 2 meals out of one entree. For a meat option, the General Tso is one of the best in town. We went to yangs for years and loved it. We moved to temperance mi so don't get there very often now. We went last year and got take out it was awesome as always. We went today and got 3 almond boneless chicken dinners. All the food was horrible. The chicken tasted like dry turkey you couldn't cut it. The fried rice wasn't fried it was mush. The egg rolls were so hard you couldn't cut them. The egg drop soup was nasty seemed spoiled. We were so disappointed we called and all they said was sorry and thanks for calling. This is our go to for best carry out in the city. I have long been a fan of #4 combonation plate. A l arge portion of chicken w/brown gravy, fried rice, and best egg roll around. My husband rotates his choices, bjt always a combo plate w/plenty of veggies and seafood or chicke n. Employees are so nice and when we eat in we are treated like we r special. This small, quaint, restaurant is very clean, though it's obviously been in this location for a very long time. My friend, has been going there for years, but had moved out of the area, and asked me to take a ride back there today, because she was craving their "Crispy Beef" dinner. Having eaten Chinese food all across the Midwest, I can honestly say Yang's makes my top five list, and currently sits in the second place slot. However, their "Crabmeat Rangoon" takes the number one spot, due to the amount of cream cheese/crab filling inside, and how perfectly they were fried. Worst Chinese food I've ever tasted. I just moved back to Toledo and my friends told me to check this place out being that it's not too far from me. After a long day of moving I was craving my Chinese favs. I ordered the roasted pork friend rice and General Tso's Chicken and was immediately turned off by the taste of both dishes as soon as they hit my mouth. The fried rice is bland and the Chicken isn't far behind and for the first time ever I almost choked on a fish bone. Yes, A fish bone in a boneless chicken dish... Perhaps they hired a new cook or maybe I got them on a bad night but unfortunately I won't be coming back. I'm sticking to what I know from here on out. read more

I just threw that crap away! I ordered the Szechuan chicken because i saw a few recent reviews about how delicious it was! I knew from the smell it wouldn't be good but.. still you never know. the chicken was bland.. the sauce was not spicy at all and coated your mouth with what felt like slime! and the veggies were mediocre.. and i NO CLUE what it was but there were some gelatinous pieces mixed in looked like bell pepper but were black and like JELLO! the egg roll and FILLED with grease that's all i tasted!! Oil flooded my fingers when i bit into it.. completely gross. and the ham fried rice was just as bad no veggies in rice just ham, rice and a few green onion on top.
