Large drink.
Nicola L.

As a person that frequents and love my golden krust this establishment was confused. This is how I received my large drink. And when I asked for a large drink cup, they didn't understand. How can I drink this without taking off the lid. This is not soup. Please do better First of all the other locations have many more fresh options like cucumber and carrot juice. This location only had pineapple ginger and sorrel.

Brown Stew Chicken

I work near Golden Krust and have wanted to try it for some time. I have no idea why I waited so long! Recently, I had a rare lunch break in which I had time to go grab something, so I went for it. I ordered through Grubhub on Yelp, and a friend ordered through Google. The process was easy for both, and they reported that lunch would be ready soon. When we arrived, the food was ready right on time for our pick-up, which made everything super easy. I started with a spicy beef patty. It was great! Not too spicy, but loved the kick and flavor. The crust was flaky, and the patty was hot. Honestly, I could have just had a patty and a side, which would have been a great lunch, but really - I wanted to try all the things! I ordered the brown stew chicken with rice and beans, vegetables, and plantains. The brown stew chicken - oh my goodness. It was delish. The chicken was messy, but oh so good. I gave up trying to use utensils and just picked it up and went for it. The spices were complex without being overpowering, and I could have spread that gravy out over every item on the plate. It was terrific. It made me want to explore some recipes for making it at home! The rice and beans were great, and I felt like the vegetables made the whole endeavor somewhat healthy (please allow me to carry my weak justifications for indulgent eating). The plantains were a great end to a fantastic meal. Portion sizes were huge, and I ate my lunch over the course of two days. Employees were friendly and helpful. Covid precautions were in place - employees wore masks and plexiglass dividers separated customers from the food. For a fast casual spot, this was a definite win. I'll be back to work my way down the menu.

This my friends is NOT a vegggie plate. Not for that price. No yam, no banana, squash.....nadda

Great location but the veggie plate is lacking. A veggie plate without the opportunity to get either yam, banana, or another veg is NOT a veggie plate. Just a pile of rice and cabbage is not going to cut it. Not when a new Jamaican restaurant is literally across the street offering what you don't. Not for that price. Come bettah mon.

Island food is always so good to me that I just can't get enough. One of my favorite dishes to try is the Red Snapper fish cooked in either brown stu or escovitch, over rice and peas with fried plantains and cabbage...yummy! If you like spicy foods go with the escovitch, it works every time. For a more gravy covered fish with onions, carrots, and maybe some bell pepper, you'll enjoy the brown stu. Both dishes are great and filling and be prepared to wait a little on the fish as it needs time to cook. If you want something other than fish the menu has so much to offer from, oxtails, curry chicken, to stu chicken. If you want something lite you can always try out a pattie, either beef, chicken, veggie and even shrimp. You'll leave this restaurant feeling good about what you ordered. The service is usually friendly and helpful. Ask for what you want and I'm sure they will do their best to serve you.

Beef pattie goodness

I came this time for chicken and ended up ordering the norm. Mi love Caribbean food! If its not the music, its the food, I'm just so in love with culture. I have enjoyed the oxtails from here, I have tried the escovitch from a friends plate that was pretty good to. Everytime I come to a golden crust location, I promise to buy something different but end up with the same thing. The beef patties are also a fav of mines. Even though you can purchase them in the frozen food section of a international market I never have. I have gotten use to the veggie mix in the cabbage side, that is something I notice that only golden crust adds to their cabbage. (Its OK) The menu has plenty to choose from. Hopefully, on the next visit I can get up the nerve to tryout another dish, Until then its oxtails mahn! :-)

Jerk wings, greens and plantains

Went a few weeks ago with my mom during lunch. Relatively empty with a consistent flow of people, they had trays of food ready and a nice lunch combo. They were very friendly and patient with us which was nice because it was our first time trying Caribbean food. We got the jerk wing combo with rice and greens - very tasty. And then we also got Jamaican patties which were delicious. Everything was filing and delicious and reasonably priced

Awful dry rice and peas.
