I have gotten gel manicures here regularly. Last week, I got my first dip manicure because they told me it was stronger and wouldn't chip. The next day the top coat was all crackled. I called and the manager had me come back and sanded them down and put new topcoat. One week later they are all chipped. They told me the dip wouldn't chip and within a week I have multiple chips AFTER he already fixed it the day after I had it done. Waste of $55 + tip. I'm SO disappointed and will be switching nail salons. read more

If it could be a 0 it would. I'm horrified. Actually traumatized. Made an appointment for 4 because I had a broken nail that needed to be fixed before Monday. I get there and I am made to wait until 5! I sit down at five with dip nails still full on and this man started filing. Puts down a whole bowl of acetone and says "dip whole hand please". My eczema fingers trembled going toward that bowl. He kept filing until my nails were like paper towels and then placed new dip powder on top! He says "I save you from getting new tips like this." Oh but don't be shocked when you pay the full price of a full set. He proceeded to cut my cuticles with an acrylic machine filer and had me bleeding on his table. Was so rude when I corrected his shape and application and they still came out this awful. Please save your money and your patience. Just go somewhere else. read more

Probably the worst experience I have ever had getting my nails done. My cuticles weren't touched and were carelessly thrown in the dip. Super chunky followed by him cutting every single one of my cuticles until they bled. I was never told to wash my hands. One fingernail looks bent backwards. When I told him to fix it he just started burning me with a hot tool. None of the nails even go to the edge. When I stated this was terrible service he offered $5 off for such a bad job. Keep in mind this was dip which he then painted over with gel as the dip turned out terrible and he stated that is how it is always done. Please do not waste your money here. read more

My daughters and I have been coming to Golden Nail in the Mall At Whitney Field (-aka- Searstown) for a few years now. The staff there are friendly and they remember you from visit to visit. For the volume of their operation, that shows how much they appreciate their customers. Every technician I have had the pleasure of working with there has gone our of their way to make my experience enjoyable. Prices are very reasonable, and the techs are skilled at what they do. The facility is clean, well-lit, and the quality of their work is consistently good. If you have the time and want to pamper yourself, I recommend the deluxe pedicure. They do take credit cards, but tips must be in cash, so remember to bring your tip money with you. I find the easiest way to go is to park in the lot just east of Macy's and that way you can shop Macy's coming and going. read more

I have been coming to Golden nails for 2 years now and have had great service. They are fair with their prices, their staff are polite and know what you want and remember you when you come back. They have worked with my daughter as well and she loves them. The only recommendation I would make for them is when an an appointment is made to make sure it is on time. The hostess at the front desk is constantly counting money, like how many times do you need to count the money! The accept credit cards for the work down but only cash for tips. I have been coming here for years. I bring my grandmother who is now 96. They are very kind to her and welcome us with a smile every time. We never make an appointment and even during busy times they accommodate us in a reasonable amount of time. I'm always happy with our nails when we leave (me a pedicure and her a manicure). I've been to this place once and I will NEVER return. I've only had my pedicure for about a week and within a few days one nail lost all its polish while another one is losing half. They don't allow tipping on a credit card and I only had a couple dollars on me so thankfully that's all she got. The place is way overpriced. I can't believe I paid $45 for a crap paint job. My friend had acrylics put on and the guy kept hitting her fingers with the dremel and her paint bubbled up just minutes after drying. Don't go here if you want quality service!!! read more

This is my first time ever coming to Golden Nails, and it will be the last. I've had my nails done for the last 10 years and I know how they are supposed to look and feel. The person who did my nails seem to have no idea what she was doing. The acrylics look awful. And so doesn't the paint job. The filing is not even even all of my nails are different lengths. There's paint all over my fingers. I now have to spend more money to go out and buy nail polish to repaint them and do it the correct way read more

This place is convenient as far as the hours go, and not needing to make an appointment, but the job they do is sub par and they are priced higher than market. They do an ok job on pedicures but cannot get gel maincures right, and when brought to their attention they pretend like they do not understand English enough to know what you are saying. When you finally get through, they get argumentative and tell you that their poor job is somehow your fault. They actually ruined my natural nails, damaging them where I couldn't wear the French manicure I normally get because of all of the white spots on top of my nails. My nails had to grow out to get rid of the damage they caused. A second time (yes, I can't believe I went back either) when I got outside and saw the streaky, lumpy way they painted the gel on, I turned right around and went inside and complained to the manager. The manager told me that maybe I had oil on my nails...huh? Very sleazy - if I had oil on my nails, it was because they put it there! And I am not kidding when I say that the girl literally pointed at me from the back of the salon, laughing loudly seeing me talking to the manager about the horrible job she did. Check out the Claw Shop if you want your nails done right. They speak English and are actually professional. LA nails over near Petco and Michaels does a good job too, though the shop could be a little cleaner. read more

This place had had very good service up until recently. I came to the salon in the evening, and signed up for just a pedicure on the sheet at the front. After waiting for awhile, I was dismayed to see new people coming in AND GOING AHEAD OF ME. I am not usually a person to complain, but after a half hour, I was getting irritated, and I inquired to the man working why I was forgotten about. The man in charge claimed that "only the women" do pedicures, which was a blatant lie because said man had DONE MY PEDICURE BEFORE!!! I also noticed a lot of the people that were put ahead of me were customers getting both a mani and a pedi, so they were obviously getting preferential treatment although I had been waiting a lot longer and the whole point of the sign-up sheet is to be FIRST COME FIRST SERVED. Bottom line: even though it has the convenience of being in the mall, the customer service is not worth the exorbitant amount you pay for services. read more

I decided to take my niece and sister for a quick pedicure while we were shopping and I haven't been to golden nails for a while and I know why! As I am a cosmetologist I know what a customer is expecting to experience! The staff was rude when we first came in and was very impatient while picking nail polishes out. Finally got to the chair both mine and my sisters pedi chair water was filling the bowl with freezing water coming out ! We asked if they can put warmer water in and just stared at us. The young lady that was doing my sister pedicure and the older man I don't think really new how to do a proper pedicure. I didn't even get a massage on both my feet it was more or less a little rub down. Finally got to polish my toes and didn't polish my whole nail and it chipped 2 days after I got it! Wouldn't recommend this place and wasn't worth $28. Hopefully this helps when you try and find a nail Salon. read more
