Absolutely the worst pedicure I've ever had. 1) person was rude when I entered, on her phone acting like I was bothering her, 2) you don't pick your polish from the jar but from a set of old fake plastic nail samples and there is no way to tell the real color, 3) they set me up with grandpa who likely never works with nail! I had to coach him along the way. Totally half assed! He managed my legs instead of my feet that really need exfoliating and my legs burned the whole way home! 4) he coughed the whole time and made me wonder if he had Covid! 4) when I got home to inspect, I'd say the polish will last less than 24 hours - peeling up on the edges already! 5) it was overly expensive for a shitty nail place 6) the products they use are cheap and smell bad! Im visiting from out of town for business & I needed an emergency fill in because my nails look horrible. I found a shop that was conveniently located to my hotel & Golden Nail popped up. The shop is located in a strip mall. I was greeted when I walked in & handed some nails to choose my gel polish color. I sat for about 10 min which wasn't horrible because I was a walk in customer & the shop was extremely busy. The staff was wearing mask & practicing social distancing in the nail area. A mature gentleman came over & started on my nails. He definitely wasn't much of a talker but he seemed to have magical sculpting powers as he worked to fix and fill my nails. I haven't had a fill in since the end of October. (Shame on me) I didn't have any broken nails but they were pretty banged up & 2 were lifting. The nail tech - Ken took his time to file & buff my nails because I opted not to get them cut down. The shop seemed clean & I was impressed to see an African American nail tech onsite. I've never seen this in Charlotte, NC. The decor in the shop was nice. I was super satisfied with the end result of my nails. I gave a 4 star because I wasn't offered a drink & for some odd reason i was charged $1.05 service fee for using my credit card. The shop has signs hanging that suggest you pay in cash or cash app to avoid the fee. In my experience most businesses have to pay a fee to use credit cards but I don't agree that the customers should have to incur this fee! read more

They are fairly new so they are running a special of 10% off all spa services. I planned on getting a pedicure and an acrylic fill in. I was so disappointed with the pedicure, I didn't want to waste any more money for a fill in. The nail tech wasn't friendly--she only asked if I wanted the deluxe pedicure and pointed to the flyer for it. I asked if they had a menu of pedicure options. There was a bit of a language barrier so she seemed confused by my question. Instead of getting another tech to help out, she asked again so I agreed to a deluxe. But that's definitely not what I received--I got the most basic of basic pedicures--about 10 mins. She asked if I had picked a color, I asked if they had more than the one ring of colors I was given--that seemed to annoy her as well. Such a poor quality manicure! They took me as a walk-in for SNS manicure and a Gel Pedicure. The staff felt extremely rushed as they were clearly just trying to accept as many people as possible. When I asked for a specific nail shape, I was told "your nails can only be one shape". My manicure was rushed and there was no nail care involved other than drilling and sanding my nails. I left with the same messy cuticles I came in with. The pedicure was next and involved scalding hot water. I told the attendant multiple times the water was too hot and she just kept telling me to put my feet in. When the nail tech actually doing my pedicure began to work, she saw how red my skin was and knew immediately the water was too hot. Do not waste your money!!! Refused to give me a menu for nail services, only provided pedicure menu. I asked Brian for Dip Powder with French Tips (I came in with an old set from another salon) and he proceeded to apply Acrylic nails instead. Brian lied to me and said it was a form of dip powder. I had to ask several times before he admitted it was acrylic and not dip. He tried to convince me it was the same but better. I repeatedly asked for Dip but because it was near closing time, he did whatever he wanted and thought was quicker. He injured my nail bed in the process. Very rough! Worst part was the French tip he painted on. Not straight and too thick. I expressed my dislike several times. He also over charged me! Said Dip price was the same as acrylic. This place seems very new and is trying to be as helpful with there services as they can being new, I'm not sure how they will continue operations but here are some things they should do. One have a menu for services, two have the time for services not be more then is need which means the staff should be more efficient in there knowledge of their services. My pedicure I got should not have taken as long. It took over an hour for a gel coat pedicure. The lady doing it had to re-apply polish several times due to them hitting my toes with the uv machine. But the good/bad thing was that they didn't let me leave until it was done. I was served refreshments which is a plus. And the products did not hurt my sensitive skin. Worst place I have ever gotten my nails done. I know my nails are short because of what i do for a living I do wear boots all day everyday and my hand do get destroyed as welll and I know it can be a challenge to not fun or annoying for nail techs, but that doesn't mean you can neglect or not put effort into my service. I went for a simple gel mani pedi to prepare for a wedding. Costing a total of 72.10. While filing my toe nails the file cut my toes like a paper cut almost. The "warm towel" was scolding hot and burned my legs. The paint job was awful bubbles and on my cuticle and skin. My manicure was better but not by much the woman doing them skipped steps and I had to remind her how to complete a gel manicure. All for 72.10 that I'll probably take off and just paint them myself cause I can do a better job. I understand places can be busy. If you don't have room for a walk in just say no.
