I had ingrown toe nails from all the heels and improper care and now they are beautiful and every 3wks I'm here getting my pedicures. Julie is the best at what she does, you'll never want anyone touching your feet, again. Then there's Tommy and Mimi who are amazing when it comes to manicures. Tommy is my regular but when I have an emergency or he isn't available Mimi is my girl. They are the best and my nails look beautiful, healthy and natural. I call before I head over and ask for availability and they are very good at getting me in with little to no wait. They have the best personalities, we laugh, talk and very friendly yet professional. This place is always misleading customers about their prices. They should clearly post their pricing instead of changing it during the service. I asked for almond-shaped acrylic nails with a French tip and, before we started, I specifically asked how much it would cost. The technician told me the French tip would be an additional $20. However, when she was finishing my nails, she tried to charge me more, claiming that because the French tip was on almond-shaped nails, it cost extra. That didn't make sense because I had already told her I wanted almond-shaped acrylic nails and asked for the total price beforehand. She then tried to say that a French tip with a straight line on my almond nails would have been $20, but because my nails were almond-shaped, it was more. That was never explained before the service started. If there are extra charges, customers should be told upfront instead of being surprised at checkout. Actually a list with the prices and the add on costs should be implemented. read more

I've been coming to this location for a few years now and I keep coming back because these ladies are wonderful. The entire staff is super friendly. Hannah runs a tight ship and she's great! Then we have Anna, (whom I've loving named Anna Maria) she is amazing! You can show her just about any design and she can do it. Let's not forget about Stacey.. she is pretty awesome too. If I could give a zero I would. A man dremeled my toe nails until they were bruised. This was back in the fall. Since then I have had extensions put on because the nail beds were so weak. They are almost all grown out so I can get some fresh gel and wear sandals. read more

She took extra time to pay attention to the small details which I really appreciate. I love this salon, especially my girl Anna. She is the bomb.com. They always get my nails right come out looking brand new. You can also get facials, eyebrow and eyelash installations, and maintenance which I haven't tried yet. But I plan to one day. My son hooked me up with this place, which is right down the street from where I live when I moved to San Antonio. I normally don't leave reviews but I just was so upset by the time I left I had to leave a review. I walked in this morning just wanting the shellac off of my toe nails because I want a break from getting my nails done, and when I asked the owner if I could do that he asked "what color do you want" and I kept having to repeat that I didn't want to paint my nails, but just take it off and go. After multiple times of me repeating this, he looks over at the other works next to him and they start talking in their language and laugh at me. Sure, I can't know exactly what they were saying, but you can tell when people are talking about you. When I actually go to sit down, the lady was very sweet and quick. As I go back to the register to the same man, I pay, and then as I'm leaving he says something again and they all start laughing at me! I used to really enjoy going to golden nails but as of recent the manicures they've been providing are SUPER hit and miss and after today I'm done giving them my services. This manicure is dip on natural nails with no tips and all I can say is HOLY THICK and LI. It took the lady 2 full hours to do this and on top of that they charge 20$+ for chrome and it doesn't even look good. Overall, it took way too long and costs way too much for my nails to look as bad as they do. Definitely disappointed but will be looking for a new nail spot. read more

I came in to the salon today to get a full set and a pedicure. I got the passion fruit pedi for 50$ and I ended up paying 135+10 tip. This is the worst manicure and pedicure I have ever had! The experience wasn't bad but the product made me almost cry. I asked multiple times for him to put a nude/pink as a base and he only put a clearish coat that didn't cover anything. Didn't fully take off my polish. And then I was charged 85 dollars for a half assed regular acrylic set?? I'm so sad :( read more

Usually go to another nail salon, lately the business lackadaisical attitude and constant staff change had me looking for another salon. After reading about this place on my Nextdoor, thought I would check it out. Was able to schedule an appt with the highly recommended Mai for same day both mani fills & pedi. As my neighbor shared, I was not disappointed. Mai was attentive, asked questions to ensure she understood what nail style. Fills were done to perfection and in record time. Copy and pasting my review from google because I need people to not go here. I used to go to this place all of the time two years ago and I used to love it. I moved back to San Antonio and I was so excited to go back here and it was literally the worst nail experience I have ever had. Firstly, I asked for a very simple design and I asked them to only use gel because I do not like powder. The guy, Tommy, told me he could only do dip powder nails and then could do the design on top of the dip powder. I went with what he said because I figured, he is the profession, he must know what he is talking about. Come to find out the two other friends I came with were able to get simple designs without using a powder for the base? Secondly, I have to have my nails medium-short length for work. I understand that coffin shaped nails have to be longer, but I asked my nail tech to slightly taper the nails because I think the square shape is ugly, and he straight up told me "No that's ugly." Thirdly, one of my nails has already snapped in half. All I was doing was putting my shoe on. I have never had nails be this weak before. They are also already lifting at the bed and as I am looking at them, the acrylic is all over her place. These honestly have to be the ugliest nails I have ever gotten and they charged me $80 for these?? For short nails with a simple design? I am assuming the nail tech only told me that he "had to use powder" to up charge me. I still paid for my nails, when I really shouldn't have, but I got an ugly look for the lady at the counter when I only tipped a small amount. I shouldn't have tipped at all due to the horrible service and terrible nails, but I still did. I wish I hadn't have paid or at least called back and gotten a refund. I was very nervous to go anywhere because of covid, but Golden Nails did a fantastic job maintaining social distance and making me feel safe during my pedicure. Masks are required, temperatures are taken when you walk in, hand washing is required for customers, and there are plexiglass shields for each station (both manicure and pedicure stations). My deluxe pedicure was amazing and relaxing, and my nail tech was very attentive. She even added an extra layer of polish to make sure the pale pink polish was opaque enough. read more

Today, I decided to remove my nails and low and behold there was a beautiful fungus to greet me. Please save your money and time and don't go to this salon.
