I enjoyed this nail bar. There were many gel / acrylic / cat's eye options to choose from. The menu of services makes you feel like you are really treating yourself. Staff were friendly, patient, and good technicians. I purchased the steam option with my pedicure. It wasn't the best experience. At first, we couldn't figure out how to lower the device so it would actually steam my legs. Half-way through the process they got it to lower. I didn't see / feel any benefits from the steam. Could have been because I didn't sit under long enough. However, the concept of steam is nice and definitely caught the attention of other customers (IG worthy). For my manicure, I got almond shaped, cat's eye. They looked so good. Included with my manicure was: hot towel, massage, paraffin wax, scrub, and lotion. My favorite part is the nail bar is CLEAN. I got a basic gel shellac manicure in the color maroon. They did a great job with my cuticle care and did an excellent job on the shape. These are my natural nails with no added on tips. The inside was clean and the staff was incredibly friendly and professional. I didn't make an appointment but there was no wait and they started working on my manicure right away. I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee which was super yummy. They did a great job and the manicure lasted about 3 weeks which is good for me since my nails chip so easily. It was $50 without tip. I went with garden nails on feet and hands. Looked forward to help fixing the mess. Sadly, a half hearted cleaning, a weak handed massage, and the excuse that "if I cleaned too hard I could make you bleed and I would lose my license." Give me the nail cleaner... an irritated look was thrown my way. This was super disappointing. Only perfect nails and skin need to go here. If you need real help, try somewhere else. So, when I go to pay, the cashier asked me how did it go and I said well not so well right away she gets the manager and the manager offers me a redo at no cost. That was really kind and I appreciate that she did see the work and was not pleased. So kudos for customer service. I'll change my review based on the end result. read more

WARNING!!! The quality and customer service of the L'AVENIR Nails Bar across from the dominion is NOT a good place to visit! Both myself and my daughters went in to get wedding nails done and will never go back. Aside from the Asian woman and manager who talk about us in front us and laugh at us in another language thinking we dont know what they are saying, and two women that convinced us to get gel nails which is what we did not go in for, my daughter's nails came out very opposite from the photo we showed. The pregnant woman doing my daughter's nails was rude, tried to convince my daughter that what she already did to her nails was good enough even though they looked like puffy and unlike actual human nails. She pouted and completely ignored my questions after she demanded that I go look for the color white which was already right In front of her. Aside from the three-hundred and seventy-five dollar bill for our nails, I went back to see if I could get service from a different person. The new nail tech burnt two of my nails down to the meat!!! I am so happy I did not take my daughters back and that I was the one who was physically hurt any not them! I will never take my daughters back to this nail spa as I have had to wear band aids to work. Super disappointed! read more

This is an update on my previous review. The manager approached me as I returned to get my nails done and she apologized and explained to me the system. I did not really ask questions so I didn't realize unless you say specifically what you want, you will get the standard and the technicians are not allowed to up-sale unless you ask. My new go-to salon! I was welcomed by a friendly and knowledgeable receptionist. Even though I was a walk-in mid day on a Saturday, I was able to get right in. I chose to try a gel instead of the usual acrylic powder. It turned out very nice. Had never been offered it before, so I'm not sure if everyone is skilled at it. Maybe it's a way to make sure I come back The gel had a lot less debris under my nails which is best for me since I tend to pick at it. Happy that I went today. read more

My new go-to for pedicures! I have lived in the area for almost 10 years and have struggled to find a consistent and quality salon for pedicures near the Boerne/Dominion area. I went for a lavender pedicure with shellac gel today and had Lillian as my nail tech. She was attentive, kind, and checked every step of the way to make sure all things were to my liking, from the nail shape and color to the heat of the water and pressure during the massage. The customer service from entering to leaving was amazing. Everyone was so bright and helpful. I appreciate that they also service complimentary snacks and drinks. I am so pleased with my pedicure and am excited to have finally found a high quality salon. This is the place! read more

Horrible experience. Tried to tell the guy my toe nail just needed one repair. The man tells me yeah yeah (he must've not understood what I was saying). Next thing he starts drilling all the gel polish off the toes. I stop him again and say no just one toe. He said I know I know. Then I go to pay and they charge me $45. I ask them to call the manager. Manager comes over and said her guy misunderstood so he will have to take everything off if I don't want it. What?! I came in with toe nails done and just needed one repair. She wanted to send me away with no polish on because her guy who doesn't understand English redid all of them. Even though I told him and stopped him twice. Will not EVER come back here again. Worst service. read more

Owner greeted me very warmly and made me feel welcomed first. Their front desk then checks you in and YOU fill out the services you want. Prices are clear by each and every ala carte choice. Loved that! Felt like they were right on target and upfront. I was asked if I'd like to select a polish and they have literal walls full. How nice! I was then seated and on both walls 6 big screen TV's. The tech that did such a great job! No yanking on my nails or hands!! No bleeding cuticles! 1 hour later a full acrylics set. She looked at each nail side by side and they were all symmetrical and thin. They held up with no breakage whatsoever. They politely sent me to the receptionist to pay and was offered to schedule my next appointment! Heck ya! They send you a confirmation of your appointment at booking and a day before. It's so refreshing! They actually want to see you back and it shows! To the owner, Christy: Thanks for being here and offering a flawless service! The salon is super clean & led by attentive managers with a super friendly staff. Customer service is top notch. Love their complimentary cocktails & the iced Vietnamese coffee is deliciously yummy. Pricing is comparable to other salons. I also tried L'avenir's new Steam Pedicure. It's a whole new level of pampering. You know how the warm towels wrapped around your legs at the end of the pedi comfort, soothe, & relax your muscles? The steam was placed on my legs once I sat down in the chair & the pedi started. It helped comfort, soothe, & relax my muscles from the start & most importantly, magnified the nail tech's foot & leg massage.‍ The pedicure products were also next level. This place has only been open for about a month. And I came here to try a new place, haven't found a place yet that I liked enough to stick to but I think this is the new place. Kim did my shellac pedicure and manicure and she gave me the best leg and foot massage I've ever had, I fell asleep. The manager was also very nice and talked with me as I was about to head out and just made me feel very welcomed. Plus they have a cocktail menu for drinks, pina colada was soo good.
