The food is excellent -- generous portions, great flavors, and fair prices. The atmosphere and decor, however, could really use some improvement. The place feels quite dark and outdated, a bit depressing honestly. I only went because my daughter already knew it; otherwise, I probably wouldn't have stopped by. Service was friendly, but about 10 minutes before closing they started giving those "time to leave" looks -- a bit rude, but oh well.
Came here for Chinese New Year, and it was busy! Busy is good and expected for the holiday. We were still seated right away and got straight to our dim sum exam! We got some dumpling favorites, har gow, steamed pork bun, Singapore noodles, pork chops, egg tarts were flakey and delicious. Service was good and lots of free plaza parking.
High prices, Dim Sum was just ok, bland. Was out of Baked Pork Buns, the Shumai was good. Service was excellent. I love Dim Sum, but not sure if I would go back
Casual ambiance restaurant. Service was excellent everything was good. Got what was called a house special and to me it was a Pu Pu platter with spare ribs chicken wings spring rolls and shrimp and pork fried rice it was really delicious made with everything fresh tea was excellent but the Mia Ties could use a little more alcohol . I have a friend who's a passionate foodie, just like me, and he recommended Singing Bamboo. It's an unassuming, dark, and simple indoor dining room with comfortable seating. We were a group of six, all interested in trying a Chinese restaurant that offers the kind of authentic experience we're used to in New York City's Chinatown. Singing Bamboo most definitely did not disappoint us. We ordered appetizers and entrées to share, including their spareribs and dim sum. The Chinatown vibe was very much alive here. We also enjoyed a variety of other dishes, such as fish, chicken, and pork, all of which were delicious. The value and service were outstanding. We were pleasantly surprised to find a Chinese restaurant here in Florida that captured that classic NYC Chinatown feel so perfectly.
The people are extremely rude and usually I'm fine w that as long as the foods good. But the food felt like everything was frozen and just steamed up so nothing is homemade. It's lowkey expensive for such below regular food quality. My sister in law ate a steamed shrimp dumpling and she found a long piece of metal from a Brillo pad they use to scrub dishes. At first they were like oops sorry nothing we can do about it but my sister in law had cut the inside of her throat cause she almost swallowed the metal and so they decided to give her a discount ONLY because she had said something. Even then they were kinda rude about it like it was her fault she found a metal shred in her food. I would personally never come here again but if you do just be very careful of the food you eat. They said this happens sometimes so I know it's not the first time this has happened
Restaurant is still up and running. Food is good as I remembered. Service is fast but not too friendly. Always is a rush rush speed service at all times. Talk fast and move fast. Restaurant is in serious need of a facelift. Looks very outdated. Overall the food is still delicious and this is why I still come here. The roasted duck and dim sums are my favorite along with the Mongolian Beef.
On Friday night our restaurant club from the Valencia Sound development in Boynton Beach took all the captains to dinner here. We were 20 people seated at 2 nicely sized round tables. This is the perfect seating arrangement for large groups. The restaurant is pretty and clean. We basically had one waiter who was amazing- nicely mannered and patient as he took orders for drinks, appetizers and entrees from all. It's impressive to listen to individuals who have special dietary issues express their wishes and how the waiter handled them. He made everyone happy. The menu offered a nice variety of items from which to choose. I was able to get a healthy chicken and vegetable dish in a light sauce. All the menu items were generous portions. The bbq ribs were large and beefy. Excellent flavor. But most people agreed that on the whole the food was not flavorful enough. Basically very bland. The entrees are served with your choice of white, brown or fried rice. The prices are very fair though. We were surprised that for a Friday night at the tail end of "season" that the restaurant was not crowded. Maybe it's the specific location in West Palm Beach - not the tourist section. In any case we rated the place a 3.9 out of 5. Service and price were great but food is the most important factor.
We had a great time here on Christmas Day. Apparently you could make a reservation but we still were seated as a walk in. We came in later (around 7:30PM) and had to wait around 30 minutes to be seated. It was packed. A lot of large tables full and staff were running around a lot. They looked short handed since tables weren't being bussed and turned over quickly but we knew this place would be a zoo on Christmas Day. Our food came out almost immediately after we ordered. We probably sat at the table a shorter amount than eating. But per the usual I loved my beef chow fun. And the beef broccoli was yummy too. We were able to split the bill but they charged my card twice by accident. I called about it later and they were nice and tried to explain so I had my friend Venmo back the money to me (no problem). I understand accidents happen. This place is very casual so even on a holiday people were dressed down.
While waiting for a delayed flight from PBI we chose Singing Bamboo mainly for its somewhat proximity to the airport and it was a good choice. The restaurant looks and feels like a vintage outer borough NYC Chinese restaurant but with a Dim Sum menu and combine that with a full bar and all is good. Even better because the drinks were cheap, the food is inexpensive and service was fine. We tried a variety of dumplings and all were freshly made and we enjoyed the Shumai and the Vegetable Dumplings. We also went with waitress recommended items that included house favorite Beef Chow Fun and Chicken with Broccoli and both were good and better than most area Chinese Restaurants and one reason is the sauces used were not heavy and full of oil or starch. Also the ingredients seemed fresher. I'm not sure this is a restaurant to go too out of the way for but if anyone lives or happens to be nearby then it's a good choice.
We had a really good dinner here. We were greeted immediately on entering and seated right away also. Service throughout was prompt and friendly. Inside is clean and bright. After reviewing the regular menu, we noticed that it said to request the dim sum menu, if interested, so we did. We started out with soup. I had their wonton soup, and the bowl was brimful of thin pork strips and egg strips along with stuffed won tons and scallions. The broth was tasty -- not too salty. My husband got their hot n sour soup. He said the flavor was good, but he usually likes more "stuff" in his soup, so he added a bunch of crunchy noodles. We filled up on soup, so we just decided to order a few dim sum items to share. They give you a dim sum menu list to mark your order on and a sheet with photos of each item. We got their scallion pancakes which were served fried hot off the stove along with some hoisin sauce for dipping. They were flat, thin and crispy and very good -- and we wound up taking half the order home. We also had one of our favorites -- turnip cake. This isn't really made of turnip but is made from a Chinese radish and rice flour. It is pan fried, so it has a golden-brown crust-like layer on the outside and a soft center. There are sometimes bits of pork in it for extra flavor. An acquired taste that I have grown to love. In addition to those two items, we got an order of steamed BBQ pork buns. These are fat, white, round sweet dough breaded balls with sauced BBQ pork inside. They remind me of my childhood when my dad used to get these for my brother and me. The dim sum list is long and there are quite a few other items I would like to try. Plus, the regular menu has a number of standards and favorites, as well. We are definitely coming back to this restaurant!
Located on the West side of Military Trail, this is an Asian Cuisine stop you won't want to miss! Plenty of parking in the strip center. We were greeted by the hostess and walked over to a nice table. Our server came over right and took our drink request and offered to answer any questions as we looked over the large menu. They also have a Dim Sum menu on request. We ordered from the Dim Sum menu. The Hot and Sour Soup was very good, our server brought over a dish of hot oil in case I wanted hotter ... it was just the right heat level for me. We shared some Scallion pancakes, Turnip cakes and Barbecue Pork buns. A well lighted and welcoming interior, this is a nice family restaurant with great food.
One of the best casual Chinese restaurants I have been to in South Florida. I did takeout and everything I ordered was fantastic. The Hot and Sour Soup was delicious and spicy (medium), as was the Shrimp in Lobster Sauce. The Shrimp Rice Rolls were also incredible. My new go-to Chinese place!

This. All of this. This is what a Chinese restaurant should be. Great food at decent prices, friendly servers, and no contrived fluff over getting some hipster deconstructed curry kabob blah blah blah. Our food (and we tried quite a few things) was fresh, hot, and delicious. Not one person who worked there passed by us without asking how we were or if we needed anything. Our only minor nitpick would combo dinners getting veggie fried rice instead of pork but even that was good. read more

I have my usuals that I get delivered from here but I decided to try all new dishes. First I started with the pork dumplings which are probably the best damn dumplings I've ever had. Yes they were that good and the tangy soy sauce that pairs with it enticed the hell out of my taste buds. I wasn't sure if I had already tried the beef in hot garlic sauce but I ordered it anyway. I chose a non- spicy choice but it definitely would probably be more flavorful with more spice. I loved that it came with veggies - bamboo shoots, carrots and my favorite...mushrooms! The house pan fried noodles were certainly interesting as the crispy egg noodles were in a separate container from the shrimp, calamari, chicken, pork and vegetables. Once you added the protein, veggies and gravy the noodles start to soften up. Loved that it came with more mushrooms but wished it had more taste. Overall I will definitely be getting those pork dumplings again but I may just stick to my old faithful house fried rice and orange beef until I'll feeling adventurous again. read more
Singing Bamboo is my favorite spot for dim sum! The service is always good, dining area is spacious. From their regular menu I usually get the Young Chau fried rice, which is the best. It's simple yet perfectly executed. buttery rice with little pieces of pork, shrimp and egg. And their dim sum is spectacular! The pork siu mei dumplings are my favorite, juicy and flavorful. Another favorites are the soup dumplings, shrimp dumplings, steamed chinese veggies, and spring rolls, but there's soo many to try. Love going to this wonderful spot! read more

We came here for dinner with the family. The place looks like a normal Chinese restaurant. Dark, gloomy, wooden chairs that almost break when you lean back. We got our noodle crackers with mustard and duck sauce. Noodles were good. Warm and crunchy but only 1 basket for 5 of us. Then we ordered rib and dumplings appetizer. Ribs came with 6. They were good. Dumplings were thick. Wonton soup was good. Then we ordered lemon chicken, general Taos chicken, garlic egg plant, shrimp with lobster sauce, and chow fun beef noodle. Everything was good. Solid. Best I've had no. Solid yeah. You can tell the lemon chicken was freshly made. General Taos was good not spicy. They now charge 3 dollars for tea. So we didn't get it. Dessert was ice cream. Overall solid 4 experience. read more

This is one of the nicer Chinese restaurants with delicious dishes. There are always Chinese people here, along with others. They are kind up front, seat you usually right away, and have dim sum menu + normal Chinese menu. This is a place where you bring your large family and they happily seat you. Some tables have lazy Susan's spinning in the middle! We have been back 3x now and will continue to. Food is fresh and delicious. It is about 3.5 stars. Not yet 4 stars. The restaurant is locate in Military's Trails. Food is just average. Price is a bit high range. They have combo dim sum selections. You can pick five pieces and become one dish. It is great for only one person who come to eat with many choices. We have the combo of pork dumplings, shrimp dumplings, mix shrimps dumplings, fried dumplings and shark fin dumplings. We also add a dish with stuffed eggplant. Other than dim sum, we have the traditional Chinese Yi Mien. This is fried noodles then add sauce. Service is good since there are not much of customers. All attention come to our table. read more

So the four stars is mostly due to amazing variety of authentic dishes. I was wowed on my first visit, mostly by foods I don't eat like tripe and chicken feet. The dumplings weren't mind blowing but I am obsessed with soup dumplings and these were just ok. The star of the show is both varieties of fried rice. And they are generous with the sauces -- chili crunch, hot mustard, duck sauce, soy sauce. I thought the general tsos chicken, hunan beef were just ok. I did like the house noodles. Anything in black bean sauce is good. Service is fine. Beer is cold. Lots of room. read more
I wish I could give this place 5 stars but I had to take a couple off because the Chinese broccoli was sitting in a pool of water and wasn't washed well. It was really sandy/ dirty. The general tsaos chicken was over cooked and very dry as well. For the dim sum, the shrimp paste rolls were not cooked all the way and were thick and gooey on the inside. However, the shrimp dumplings (har gao) were absolutely amazing and so were the fried shrimp balls. Those 2 items were delicious and I would get again!! Could eat those everyday!! read more
