Small but good buffet. Enjoyed just about everything I got. Chicken is so good.

Some of the best chicken I have had - and it was on a buffet! A bit of a divey place, but the food makes it worth coming to. The price $15 per person total with drink for dinner was also nice. A pleasant surprise that in addition to fried and broiled chicken, they had fried fish that I am pretty sure was catfish. The side dishes also were all pretty darn good! The only thing I didn't care for were the gizzards as they were a little dried out. We will come back when we are in the area.

This place is an excellent choice for people visiting biloxi. Pay at the counter to receive your foam dining tray. Enjoy delicious fried chicken and southern sides. Make sure to save room for peach cobbler and ice cream for dessert. I would go back just for dessert alone. The interior is a little cramped, but cozy up and make friends with the locals who also enjoy this place.

Must have passed by here over 100 times in the past 10 years....what a mistake on my part. Excellent Chicken and Catfish.....plenty of sides to choose from a drink and dessert.......what could be better....did I mention its a Fried Chicken Buffet..... Chicken gizzards and liver, salad, corn muffins, greens, green beans....and much more.....a must if you are in the area.....nice folks and tasty food.....what more could you ask for...

This is one of those places you must go to when you're in the area. I grew up here, and this restaurant hasn't changed a bit it almost 20 years. They have southern comfort food. The buffet is very small but you can always get extras from the register. The food is always fresh and delicious. The ambiance is old-timey and homey. I just love this place and my friends who are also from the area go here all the time. Don't forget to end your meal with their delicious peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream!

Pleasantly surprised, I have been here in Ocean Springs, MS for almost two years and just saw this as a fried chicken joint.

This is a casual place that makes you feel like you are in someone's back yard. Fold out tables and plastic ware make for easy cleanup, but don't let that put you off! Hubby and I visited for some early afternoon lunch, and it did not disappoint! Specials written on the blackboard were fast sellers mostly with people ordering take out trays. The smothered porkchops in a single meal were enough for 2; heavy, smothered in brown gravy and flat out delicious! Paired with sweet potato casserole and fried okra (my choices) I only wish I wore stretchy pants. That food is for certain some kind of stick to your ribs (and your butt too) that you just can't say no to. If you leave hungry, that's on you.

If that was wrong I couldn't have imagined it being more than $15. We got the chicken that came with rice and gravy which was decent. The Mac and cheese was okay but didn't seem homemade. The sweet potato casserole had the look and consistency of baby food. While the lady helping us was real nice in the beginning, for some reason it felt like there was a shift. It was supposed to come with a complimentary dessert which was not offered. We chose to pay the bill with cash even though it seemed like we were being taken advantage of. One meal and 2 waters was $28. I left there very disappointed and wouldn't encourage anyone to eat there.

My husband ordered the red beans and rice -- he said they were decent, but not quite up to homemade standards (though I think he was just trying to flatter me!). He did reach for the hot sauce to give them a little kick. I snuck a bite of the cornbread, which was lightly sweetened -- really enjoyed it. The chicken breast was flavorful, extra crispy, and crunchy, but the crust was a bit too hard to chew comfortably. My husband may have tried a bite as well, and we both noticed the meat itself could have used a little more seasoning. Despite the small critiques, we always enjoy our visits to Patio 44. We sat outside on the patio after 9 p.m. -- a great atmosphere for a night out. The wait staff was wonderfully attentive; three of them rushed over as soon as we arrived. The bar was fully stocked, though we skipped cocktails this time. It's also a quick, pleasant walk from our hotel -- perfect for a night stroll. We'll definitely be back and plan to try something different next visit!

Key deserves a huge shout out for being such a sweet and attentive server. I liked her tremendously. We had the boudin egg rolls and the Swamp Tour Sampler: jambalaya, crawfish étouffée, gumbo, and red beans and rice. For dessert, we had bread pudding with beignets. The Boudin egg rolls were the best thing I ate on my entire trip. Perfectly seasoned and perfectly crispy, every bite was heaven. The jambalaya was the best jambalaya I had on my trip as well. It had a fantastic smokiness and was not wet at all. I also loved the crawfish étouffée. It was creamy and loaded. The red beans and rice had a bit of a sweet edge that was not quite my taste. Try for yourself. The bread pudding was the perfect sendoff. Bite-size beignets were nestled in the bread pudding. It was a sweet, creamy, perfectly Mississippi dessert. I loved Parrain's so much that I bought a T-shirt. I generally don't like wearing clothes that serve as advertisements, but this place just has to be advertised all around the country. Key, thanks for a great lunch! If you're ever in Biloxi, Mississippi, you must go and try this little gem.

We split a few things between the two of us. We had the tour of the swamp. The red beans and rice was really great. Not always my favorite when we go out but it really stood out. Very flavorful. The etouffee was great. Wish there was more crawfish but I always wish there was more. We all probably do with most dishes. lol. The jambalaya was really good. Well seasoned. Now my wife is picky about gumbo and is a hard judge to please. I am a little more on the giving side and look at it from the perspective of "even a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work" point of view. A day with gumbo is generally a better day most days. The gumbo this day was not great. I have heard amazing things and I was not impressed. I will only mark off a star because everything else was so great. I hope it was just a bad day and we will hope for a better next time. And there will be a next time for sure. The shrimp po boy was slam packed with shrimp. Great bread and dressed well. The boudin eggrolls were fantastic. Sift and tender on the inside and crispy crunchy on the outside. Loved them.
