The atmosphere was laid back and posh. I really enjoyed the pineapple foam on our drink, and the hint of sage. The feta dip was much too salty though, especially paired with the salted pita chips. My friend tried the tenders and liked it better. They have ample outdoor space, which would be nice in the summer. Plenty of parking out front. The bartenders were nice, but forgot to put in one of our food orders on an open tab. Nevertheless the food came out fairly quickly, and they were still serving food late (11pm). read more

I've come here a couple of times now and always love the atmosphere. It's an indoor/outdoor space with a large bar area and seating around the sides. The drinks are good and the dj was playing all the big hits. I even love that there's plenty of parking in the lot which is rare to find these days in the city. I've only tried the fries here which were good. This is a great spot for a nice hang with friends or pregame before an event. I also think this would be a nice spot to host an event. I'm lactose intolerant but a meat eater, so this was the best of both worlds. The dressing was a more lemon/citrus take on the typical Caesar dressing, but I found it super refreshing. The ambiance here looks ultra high-end. It looks like a place in LA you'd see movie stars at. To the point where I seriously considered if we were even allowed to be here! I love Golden Pony. It's brand new and LGBQT+ and BIPOC owned. My review is based on the cocktails I have had, space, and service. I am hoping to have the food on my next visit. I love the ambience and there is parking which is a plus. You walk in and the lobby is much larger than expected. You'll be IDed and there is a mix of seating options. You can be in an oversized horse shaped booth with your crew or sit at the bar to mingle with the mixologists. The patio will be in the future and I have only gone at night but there's seating outside in the front and side too. The agua frescas ($12) are where it's at. I've had the strawberry watermelon with gin as well asn the cucumber cantelope with gin. Both are so fresh and delicious. They squeeze the fruit right there onsite. My friend ordered the Spritz and loved it as well. I am excited that this is my place for fresh agua frescas. Their GP cocktails ($13) include: Mule Espresso Martini Southside Paloma Margarita *Seasonal Daiquiri Old Fashioned Spritz *The seasonal daquiri when I went was blackberry. Y'all. SO FREAKING DELISH. I wanted to savor every single sip slowly and be fully present. Don't you love those drinks? For those who love beer, there have Montucky or Kaleidiscope Sour ($5), Superior ($6), Blackberry Farms IPA or Gotta Get Up Stout ($7), Souther Crisp Pils ($8), or Puffel Hazy IPA ($11) You can also get wine for $11. Brut from Spain. Sauv Blanc from NZ, Rose from France, or Red from Chile. They have have sodas for those who don't drink alcohol. Space is gorgeous. I've never felt crowded and the service was wonderful. They want to make sure you're served and then enjoy your company. The food menu looks promising. They have a party mix that has pretzels, cheetos, wasabi peas, and crunchy noodles ($5). They have a spring whipped feta ($11). Will I like theirs more than Butcher and Bee? Time will tell. I want to try the seasonal pizza boat ($14) which my friends explained to me by showing me a tik tok. It's apparently the latest trend. I'll be back soon so I can update it with my food review. Golden Pony is cute from the moment you pull up! They have a spacious, shared parking lot with the cocktail bar off to one side. The interior is beautiful with huge booths and some of the most comfortable barstools in Nashville! I had an espresso martini that was fantastic and a glass of their Spanish red wine. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were great with excellent recommendations. We had the hot honey toast (so good!!!), whipped feta and chicken. The whipped feta wasn't great but the others made up for it. Our bartender recommended cutting a piece of chicken and putting it in the hot honey toast and wow! It was delicious! Went in for the first time last night. The hostess was super friendly and informed us the back room was for a private party but all other areas had "open" seating. Bar was full. Excited to see they had a back patio BUT no chairs or tables to enjoy the back patio. No mood lighting either - hard missed opportunity here! Walked back inside to find an open table however in the main area. Tried to sit down but we were immediately told it was reserved. BUT we were told everything was open seating. Also if you're overweight or have any form of gut - you're not fitting into the oversized booth table. While aesthetically pleasing they are not practical and only allow a few groups to sit. So a table that could sit 6-8 are being used by 2. Doesn't make sense. Smaller tables would allow more patrons to sit and enjoy this beautiful space. Bartender and bar back were nice! Always heard great things about Golden Pony. My first visit was on my birthday (Christmas Eve) and we had a blast. They played the whole Renaissance album just for us lol Went recently on a Wednesday night for the R&B night and loved the ambiance again. I really wish I could write a good review, I do. We live one minute away, but we have not had a good experience yet and it's been 4 or 5 trips now? First time the bar was completely empty and there were 4 of us. Bartender offered us a table as we were going to order food too. The owner came over and made us get up and move to these tiny tables up front because the big tables were only for parties of 6 and up. No one else in the restaurant. Our food came and didn't even fit on the tiny side tables. We were holding food in our laps. It was insane. I wanted to host my baby shower here (trying really hard to support local here!!) and got jerked around for months. It was so unprofessional. There was no plan and eventually they just told me - actually I think we're just going to cancel brunch service for a couple months, never mind. We can't help you. We ended up going to Common Ground and it was night and day. Wildly different experience. We've also had our food orders forgotten twice, been forgotten by the bartender three times, and finally when a friend told me she tried to come to happy hour with her baby and they refused her and her husband service I was just done. They wanted to sit on the patio with a cocktail and the baby was a dealbreaker. Not a problem anywhere else in the neighborhood as far as I know. Oh well. read more

At this establishment, they are not people of their word. I scheduled to have a birthday party in the private room at Golden Pony WEEKS before my birthday, which is at the end of November. They said that everything was fine and that they would help me set things up for my birthday. At the last minute, one of the owners lied and said that the other owner and him miscommunicated about the booking. They wanted to just put me and all of my guests somewhere else, stating that the original room I viewed was already booked. This couldn't be farther from the truth. They told me countless times via email that they didn't have anyone booked for that room on the date. Now I have to find another location even after over 30+ invitations have gone out and a couple of people are flying in to come to the party. Definitely a place you don't typically see on the east side of town. Even though it feels like a trendy spot, it doesn't feel pretentious. The staff is friendly, it's great people watching, it's like a secluded island from other places and the drinks are tasty. It's not a knock on them as they need to stay in business but everything is so expensive. You don't want to feel like a cheapskate when you go out but when you see the prices of things, you tend to get selective. This will be a fun spot to bring out of towners or a fun night out but it's not yet a space you can call as your go-to. Decor feels mid-century and the music is pretty good. What's fun is the light during dusk as it sneaks through the venue. The bar is a cool area but seating is limited during happy hour so if your group wants to sit, you have to vulture a bit until they add more seating. read more

Had such a disappointing experience here tonight. We showed up on a Friday to a not so crowded bar. We got our 2 drinks and then the bartender never came back to check on us. Over 45 mins later we order another drink from someone else working the bar. We wait 20 mins to get our second drink and the guy we ordered from came back once to double check our order and then 10 mins later our original bartender came back to triple check our order. I watched her make three other peoples drinks before even starting ours. She came back to apologize for the rush of drinks that came in (even though there weren't that many people there to begin with). When we got our check, we were overcharged for our drinks. We ordered 4 drinks between the 2 of us but were charged for 6. We had to bring the manager in to get him to change the amount. In my opinion the drinks that we waited over 20 minutes on should've been comped. They both saw us waiting, they knew how long we waited, apologized for how long we waited, and STILL overcharged us! Anyway, terrible experience. The vibes were great, the music was great, but it sucks that we had such bad service (and had to literally talk to a manager about our check). We spent an hour and a half too long in this place. If you see this review you better double check the receipt before you pay! read more

My husband and I came to Golden Pony for Teacher's Pet Trivia and Game Night, but we'll be back! We arrived early, driving here after work and grabbing dinner. We sipped and grazed through the menu, enjoying the patio and the sweet pup whose owner sat nearby. The atmosphere was inviting inside and out, and the service was not only quick and friendly, but the recommendations were thoughtful and on point. We started with the spring whipped feta, accompanied by a daiquiri (off-menu) and Gotta Get Up stout. The whipped feta is accompanied by a rough chopped crunchy slaw/salad with a cashew-based dressing that offered different textures as well as delicious flavors. Something spicy was sprinkled on top of the feta, giving amazing cool/hot contrast. But the still-hot freshly made pita chips were the pièce de résistance! Next, we ordered the seasonal pizza boat. To be honest, my expectations weren't very high, but since it was sourdough with melty mozz and prosciutto, (among other things), I was willing to try it. Y'all. It was fabulous. It was the star of the night. My apple pear aqua fresca with bubbly arrived during this, and was a nice clean accompaniment. We finished up with a Caesar salad with a cashew-based vegan dressing that was surprisingly tasty, especially with the crispy-creamy contrast of the fried avocado. This was followed by the seasonal daiquiri, well-balanced and made with blackberry syrup instead of simple. I'm a sucker for a pretty drink in a coupe glass, but hubs agreed that it was something special. Trivia night was topped off by the tastiest espresso martini I've ever had! These are too often overly-sweet milkshake concoctions, but the espresso was forward, emphasized by a bit of rum. While the trivia night is what brought us (and we loved it!), we will be back for the restaurant itself! read more

It somehow feels modern with a retro kinda vibe. The lighting is perfect. They didn't overdo or underdo the color scheme either. My eyes. They're tickled. 3. Old fashions are my favorite cocktail. Their take on it is something else. It's got a citrus Smokey vibe and I'm here for it. I tried several other drinks and my tongue wanted more. I'm tellin y'all right now, this is gonna be that new spot to go to. If Golden Pony were a hill, I'd be happy to die on it. 4. The staff was very kind. For such a new place, you'd think they'd been working together for years. They all seemed happy to be there and that's just not something you see at most places. 5. Lastly that Walter guy, despite his mustache, doesn't have a clue. Not that sexuality should matter in the first place, but the owners are absolutely gay, and absolutely not the same owners of flamingo. Upon entry I was greeted like I was family or something. Spent sisters birthday here and the staff were incredibly welcoming and the owners made sure to come and introduce themselves to our table. We ordered almost every drink on the menu and a few food items. They were all delicious. They have something Called a family shot, that has 6 shots for only 20.00, but because my family is so big, we needed one more. The bartender was able to make the extra shot at no additional cost to us and my sister got a birthday shooter on the house.
