I enjoy your food , but your service at the Central restaurant by Eubank lacks in customer service. I was charged 27.15 for food I did not get. The manager said to come in and she would take care of it. Went today ,She sent me to get Letter from my bank with the amount and I did and still refused to correct it. I asked for the owner name and number and She said it was Eddie Montoya and He doesn't take any calls from customers. Very disappointed with the service at that location. The food was okay the ribs were falling off the bone but needed more flavor. the solace was a little bit watery but overall it was good. Nothing I will write home about but for lunch at high noon it will do. GOLDEN PRIDE on Juan Tabo, Albuquerque, NM constantly screw up there orders especially in the morning. 40% of the time I am given a burrito I did not order the order either has the wrong chile applied or the meat is not what was ordered and when I order the #7 I am given just bean and cheese, but charged for a # 7. A #7 has eggs, beans, cheese and carne avocado. I quit goin to this place they are to busy to value their customers concerns or to even try to correct it to customers satisfaction. I've been working in Albuquerque for five weeks now, and believe you me, I've eaten a LOT of carne adovada in this time span. It's probably slightly unhealthy how much I've consumed. Regardless, Golden Pride has some of the yummiest stuff I've found in the city so far. It's super tender and not super spicy but has just enough kick to give it some interest. When you get it in burrito form, you have the delicious bonus of enjoying one of their soft, fluffy tortillas, too! Pair it with a sweet roll, and you're, er, golden, so to speak. My only complaint about this particular location was that it looks like they need more people to come out and clean the tables, but as long as you're not eating your burrito directly off the table surface, it's all good. read more

This was a terrible expierence! People working there or should I say standing around talking to each other were extremely rude. No thank you no nothing just give me your money. Ordered my regular 2 pieces of fried chicken all breasts with mashed potatoes and gravy. Got home and noticed they cut the chicken pieces in to two so you are only getting one real piece of chicken! The mashed potatoes were instant and the gravy a powdered mix. For $9.00 I would expect to get what the menu says. A piece of chicken I would think is a full piece not one cut in half. I called when I got home to ask if there was a mistake and they told me no then laughed and hung up on me. What a poorly run establishment. They are getting cheaper with their servings everyday! My boss will feed us at the office Golden Pride every once in a while, and he likes to mix it up a little by ordering something different every time. This week he ordered beef enchiladas with red chili, beans, and tortillas. Tasty and filling, I only ate 2 with beans and 1 tortilla. In the next few hours however, I was very bloated, I had to undo my belt a few notches, and the next morning the food came back with a vengeance, Stick to eating the bbq chicken or the fried chicken or the green chili soup. I just moved into an apartment less than a block from Golden Pride. Judging the book by its cover, I assumed that this place was going to be completely trashy. One day, on a whim, I decided to check it out. They are my neighbors, so why not? To my surprise, this place is quite large on the inside. They have a HUGE menu. Everything from fried chicken to BBQ to New Mexican. I've tried the rib plate a couple times now and have to say it's decent considering this isn't really a BBQ restaurant. In fact, I'd say it's better than Rudy's, which I don't think very highly of, and it blows Quarters BBQ out of the water. The sides are so-so, but not bad. They have two high tech soda fountains with touch screens and over 100 flavor options. If it's busy in there, expect to wait in line to get your soda while children flounder over which flavor to choose and older people try desperately to figure out how to use a touch screen. Once you get your soda, surprise! It's flat and tastes weird. read more

Loved the place. The outside is misleading but the food is great. The chicken was super crispy and moist, the ribs were tender, and the green chile stew was good as well. The chicken/rib combo is the way to go. You think 1 piece of chicken won't be enough but it is a big piece. Did I mention that this place is super cheap. It's simple eating and it's good. The potato salad must have sugar, and has eggs too. Tacos have a spicy mix flavor, but overall, compared to what you will get elsewhere, they are good. I like the handheld bean and cheese burrito with green or red chili inside. I think the red chili is healthier for certain. The iced tea used to be good, but as the chemicals in the Albuquerque water supply have increased, it is affecting the flavors of the iced tea pretty much everywhere. I think the restaurant owners everywhere should put a filter on their pipes, which helps the flavor of the iced tea. I like the enchiladas. They make them fresh, to order and they are delicious, and relatively inexpensive, compared to other places. BBQ ribs are pork, no beef. Barbeque chicken is great. This is one of my favorite places to eat here in town. read more

I've been to the ABQ many times and other than enjoying the climate, I always love the food. It's hard not to gain a few pounds from the "New Mexican" food in this city (and yes there is a difference from Mexican food). But if you're looking to give your taste buds a break, Golden Pride offers a good alternative. A colleague introduced me to this place and I decided to come back after several months while visiting - it did not disappoint. The chicken and ribs are outstanding; I personally like the rib plate with a couple sides. Can't beat tender and well seasoned ribs. You can still get your fix with the all day breakfast burritos and some of the classic dishes you would expect when in New Mexico. The place is large and also has a drive through. Not the cheapest place in town but there is a reason the parking lot is full. The ribs are wonderful and if you take out you might think your car smells like heaven. These smoked ribs are as good as any smoked ribs I have ever had. Just try it!! Warning, this is a lousy part of town and I was approached by bums 3 times while in the parking lot. It's spotty here. I've had good, cheerful service, and I've had grumpy, impatient service. The tacos are better than average, and the green beans with bacon would be tasty, if the green beans hadn't been cooked into mush. Whoever packed my to-go order didn't quite close the green beans cup and packed it on its side, so there was a bit of a mess when I got it home, and they gave me a spoon to eat them with. This was my first time and will be the last time. The ribs were chewy and dried like beef jerky. It's only on the outside so once you bite through the "jerky" texture you bite into the fat and flesh. Paid almost $30 for it - unacceptable. The chicken was kind of soggy and the flour coating is so light that I could see the skin of the chicken. I only live 10 mins away so the drive is not long. The chicken also was bland, bland, bland. I had to add salt to all the chicken. Paid $17 for the chicken - unacceptable. I'm not a food grouch but when i spent about $35 for food I expect to eat it - not give it away. My friends who live in Albuquerque swear by Golden Pride but I swear I will never go back.
