We did not make an appointment but dropped our car off; the waiting room was almost packed. We ran errands and returned in about half an hour and our "testing" was almost complete. We used a coupon from the All Pro Smog website and paid an amazingly low price for the test and certificate. The shop sends electronic notice of your Temporary certificate to DMV; the temporary certificate is valid for 90 days. They are professional, experienced, efficient, and very easy to work with. We will be returning when our next family vehicle's "Smog Check" is due. They also sell tires, a handsome vast array of wheels, and they do repairs. They also do Mobile Clean Truck Check inspection service: "we come to you! Call: (209) 478-7664." Nice cleaning waiting room with lots of seating and a large TV. I was at work, but I left an hour early to be there before they close at 5pm. I pulled up at 4:40pm, gates are closed and there's a security. I ask him if they're closed and he opens the door to check with the workers (I can literally see them just sitting inside talking) -- they say they're closed. I ask "I can't just pick up my truck?" He asks me which truck and opens the door to the workers again and then back to me and says "nah, come back tomorrow". I wasn't mad about the wrong size fuel tank, but I didn't realize I had to call beforehand to ASK the employees to do their job until they actually close at 5pm. Look I get it. I work for a small business in town and we also close at 5, but we wouldn't turn away a customer that comes close to closing out of sheer laziness. Had to do a lot to fix my 03' Tacoma to get the check engine light off and did it all myself with genuine Toyota parts. Replaced the spark plugs with O.E.M Denso, 4 fuel injectors with O.E.M Denso, and ignition coils also O.E.M Denso. Finally my check engine light turned off but it was showing code on my scanner and couldn't get it off unless erasing code which is the last thing you ever want to do. Glad I fixed it myself and probably saved over 3k in money. Finally it was ready to get smog checked and it passed. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I highly recommend this place.

There's a reason why I've never stopped going here for all of my cars & the same goes for my parents. This place has become my family's go-to mechanic as my grandma also goes here now after we recommended she take the over 30-year old car with over 200,000 miles on it here as she refused to give up on getting it fixed. My grandma's previous mechanic failed/refused to repair it but United Auto took on the beast of a job & got it done. The owner Teddy even towed her car from her house to their shop & back for free whenever a new issue occurred while she's at home or work rather than her taking it over herself & getting a ride as she's the only driver in her household; also giving her discounts throughout the process. They also replaced an entire engine in my Mom's car. The team at United Auto Repair do a wonderful job on all of my family's different types & ages of cars. They are genuinely good people that make me feel like I'm not being ripped off as their prices seem reasonable to me; a person who is sort of a car-fanatic.
