Warning about AutoBahn Motors in Belmont -- my experience buying a used Audi SQ5 I'm posting this so anyone considering buying a car from AutoBahn Motors in Belmont knows exactly what to watch out for. I bought a 2018 Audi SQ5 from them in cash. Before buying, I specifically asked what work had been done on the car. Here is what I was told versus what I experienced afterward: They told me the brakes were new. That did not match what I later found through my mechanic, This created a serious safety issue. After I bought the car and had it inspected by a mechanic, I was told the brakes were nearly gone and unsafe. This was not some small cosmetic issue - this is a basic safety issue. They told me they had replaced multiple undercarriage/suspension-related parts. After purchase, the car started making snapping/cracking noises and my mechanic found issues that made the car feel unsafe to drive. Based on what I saw afterward, I do not believe the car was represented accurately. I already spent $2k and may need to spend additional money to make this car driveable. They showed me an iPacket/history-style presentation claiming significant work was done on the car. Based on what my mechanic found afterward, I do not believe this presentation accurately reflected the condition of the car. Salespeople, pushed the story hard and made it sound like the car had been carefully checked and reconditioned "by Autobahn motors master engineers". My experience after purchase was very different. The finance experience was terrible. The finance manager was rude, tense, and talked to me in an extremely disrespectful way while I was signing documents. The whole process felt rushed, pressured, and unprofessional. She told me that they will not run my credit score hard inquiry since I refused to sign, but they still did it. Most importantly: they ran a hard inquiry on my credit even though I was buying in cash. I specifically told them I was paying cash and did not authorize a hard pull. They still ran a hard inquiry, and my credit score dropped afterward! I contacted them about it and gave them time to resolve it, but they I waited weeks, but the issue was not resolved. I am now formally disputing the AutoBahn Motors inquiry with Experian as unauthorized. Based on my experience, I would not rely on their verbal claims without written proof. They told me the brakes were new. They told me the car was safe. They represented that thousands of dollars had been spent preparing the car. They made it sound like the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected and was ready to go. After buying it, I found the opposite. Also, be very careful during the viewing. In my case, the car was shown dirty, which made it harder to see scratches and cosmetic issues. It was also parked in the sun, and the engine was already hot, which makes it harder to hear cold-start noises or identify mechanical problems. My advice: do not buy from AutoBahn Motors in Belmont without an independent inspection, a cold start, written proof of every repair they claim, and confirmation in writing that they will not run your credit if you are paying cash. That's what happens when you lie to your customers, they are the reason people don't like going to dealer I first contacted them on Monday, 03/16/2026, about a GLS, and a salesperson named Austin was assisting me. By Wednesday, 03/18/2026, we had agreed on the terms of the deal. Based on that agreement, I submitted all required documents, including my personal information, credit application, and driver's license, expecting the paperwork to be completed promptly. That's when everything went downhill. Starting 03/18 and continuing into 03/19, I kept being told they were "extremely busy" and couldn't get to my deal. This repeated excuse quickly became questionable, especially given the lack of any real progress or communication. On 03/20, someone named Jeorge--who claimed to be a manager--called me, apologized, and assured me he would finalize my deal immediately. Once again, nothing happened. On 03/21, I was finally able to reach the actual sales manager, who informed me that the deal I had been discussing all week was never approved in the first place. I was shocked. I had been misled for days, given false assurances, and strung along after already submitting sensitive personal and financial information. To make matters worse, I clearly communicated multiple times that I urgently needed a car and currently did not have one. Despite this, my calls were ignored, and no one took responsibility or made any effort to resolve the situation. In the end, they simply told me they were not going to honor the deal because "it doesn't make sense to them." I have all the messages documenting the agreed terms and the communication throughout the week. This experience felt dishonest, unprofessional, and extremely disorganized. Sleezy used car dealer: 1 Customer: 0 I'll start by saying shame on me, I should've known from the first warning sign not to try to do business with this dealership. Neither should you, here's why: I engaged in a conversation about a vehicle they have and made them an offer of $45k for a vehicle with a list price of $47k, they countered at $46k. I wasn't interested as there was a lower mileage same car for only $500 more I would rather buy. Here was the first red flag, they told me Over the phone they can't really even discuss the price unless I come in person to see the car. We all know they can't, they just want more leverage with you in person to try more sleezy tricks after wasting your time and tire you out. I replied and said it cost nothing to discuss price on the phone and they can delete my number. I should've stopped there, but here's where I messed up. I sent them a text saying $45k I'm a buyer and will buy today. Their reply "manager approved $45k today only". I told them it's a deal and I was on my way. Then it started getting weird, now there magically another buyer interested in the car that's coming around the same time I am. I told them I'm not gonna race to buy the car but they assured me, it was a soft commitment. I said I can leave a deposit and they said just submit the credit app, some credit app submitted but they won't run it until I get there because it's part Of their integrity. Fine 30 min drive to them I arrive, car isn't detailed, that's weird, you'd think they would in the time it took for me to get there but ok. Im also met with a different salesperson who "works closely" with who I was talking to. Odd but ok, I test drive the car, carfax shows no accidents but there was suspicious paint marks, still I'm no expert I tell them let's go do the paperwork. He wants to go over the out the door price with me, weird again we already agreed but maybe it's just procedure, ok. Nope, immediately he points to the $46k sales price. I cut him off and say nope it was agreed at $45k I have it in writing. The salesperson says he's not going to do at $45k and they have another buyer. I walked out and called the original salesperson. Now he tells me it was a miscommunication between him and his manager and he just argued with him about it. I don't believe him, they changed their mind on the selling price likely due to the other buyer and raises their price back to $46k. That's why the car wasn't detailed because they had a feeling I would back out, that's why the other salesperson approached me instead because they knew I wasn't going to take it well, and that's why he wanted to go over the out the door price because they knew they weren't honoring the price they agreed to in writing. One salesperson mentions they have another potential buyer, the other salesperson says it was a miscommunication. Don't be the idiot I was and think this nice looking Mercedes dealership can't be sleezy used car salesman, it's just a polished turd. Stay away, any agreements they make in writing means nothing. I had an awful experience at Mercedes Service. The estimate was 17k so I only did the replacement battery and transmission service at Mercedes. I took my car to an experience mechanic. My mechanic told me there was no oil leak which Mercedes stated that there is. Also, Mercedes service recommended all these other items that need to be fixed. Most importantly my car bolts in the back were loose which could have cause a major accident if I have not take my car to the mechanic soon! The Mercedes service mechanic either forgot to tighten the bolts or when the check they could have help me tighten it. I feel that they were dishonest and want to make money. read more

The worse dealership!! Do not buy a car from here!! Had the worst experience ever!! Not helpful at all. Bought a used car from them on buying it there needed something things to be fixed. Drove off with it and next day the engine light came on. Took it back and they had it for 2 in a half months. NEVER CALLED or updated me. I had to keep asking. Refused to lend me car. They said it was done and then it wasn't. Service department send me an email with things wrong by accident. When asked about it they refused to fix them. They never went over anything with me. They were supposed to write a check for auto theft protection they slid on my contract. Never got that. They said the check was in the mail a month ago. When didn't hear back after a month I reached out and sales rep said car was done. When I got it back again the engine light came on again. Basically saying they will only fix it if it was something they missed anything new I had to pay. Come to find out it was the same issues as before. There horrible. Management doesn't answer calls or emails. I would never recommend anyone here. There rude and not helpful. read more

Bought a used 2024 Lexus there for about $50,000 on 5/29/2026. The car had only 1 key Fob. Jorge, our salesman promised us he get us a 2 nd FOB. It has been almost a month now and they haven't gotten us the FOB. when we call we get all kinds of excuses. Pretty clear that once they get you money, you become a low priority in terms of follow up. Be very careful with this dealership. Seems like they can't be trusted. read more
