Came in on a Thursday afternoon with my daughters. We had the place to ourselves. The two gentlemen working were friendly. One was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. My 7 year old wanted a tea and he let me know it was caffeinated but he could make it as a juice, great! My 11 year old got the brown sugar milk tea with boba and enjoyed it! I ordered the crème brûlée latte. It should be noted that the lattes do not actually contain any espresso or caffeine. I'm not sure how we can still call it a latte? He did however actually brûlée sugar on top. It was extremely sweet and did not resemble a latte at all. Overall decent and a nice addition to the neighborhood. read more

I went here during their grand opening weekend while they were having their BOGO special. The shop itself is absolutely cute and I think it's in a great spot in the Sparks Crossing Shopping Center. The staff were super friendly and patient when we were ordering. There's a lot of seating inside, but since it was busy, we ended up getting our drinks and leaving right after. I was able to try several of their drinks since I came in with my family members. I ended trying their Thai Milk Tea, Brown Sugar Milk Tea, Golden Classic Milk Tea, Strawberry Milk Tea, Peach Milk Tea, and the Strawberry Slush, all with boba. I personally don't like things too sweet, but I thought all the drinks were balanced and very yummy! My personal favorites were the Thai Milk Tea and Strawberry Milk Tea! The boba itself was honestly some of the best I've tried in the Reno/Sparks area! Texture is perfect and it's nicely sweetened. I went back in today and got a Taro Milk Tea. I might ask for this with a little extra sweetness next time, but I still ended up enjoying and finishing it! I'm slowly making my way through the menu as you can tell. store is clean, but cold and quiet, no music, no welcoming, just silence, 3 girls working although only 2 helped me and my friend while the third sat at a laptop at a nearby table seemly doing homework or some sorts, ny friend got the thai boba and i got the matcha, both were okay but not above and beyond, also beware as this cafe closes an hour-45 minutes early than stated online and on sign. read more

Ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee with golden boba. When I got in, was not greeted but proceeded to pick up my order than I thanked them for my drink and that is when they acknowledged me. Then I looked at my drink and it looked like it didn't have any boba. You can see from the picture. I let the person know and she told me she knows she put some in and to drink it to make sure so I did. When I did, I saw there was some in there but it camouflaged with the ice. I said okay and thanks and she didn't say anything in return. The drink was short of okay. Super strong and almost thick and didn't taste like the ones from the pho restaurants. I usually go to the Noodle Cafe for boba (right around the corner from it) but we decided to try this place out and we have gone several times since then. The space is nice and open, lots of natural lighting. I usually go with the taro milk tea and it's delightful. I haven't found one that I like better than theirs. Service is ok, usually have younger staff behind the counter so there isn't much extra service that comes from them, which is fine. Drinks are always made pretty quick. read more

We have boba at least once a week and yes, we have our go to drinks, but I think I just found my new favorite... this peach black tea! Very refreshing and tasty! Perfect for a warm day. The staff at Golden Tea Cafe is super nice and professional. Their boba is soft (not super chewy like some boba shops) however their tea is really strong. I often add milk to my boba milk tea because it's too strong. I've been to many boba shops and never had this issue before. read more

This is the first time visiting and trying out this boba tea store and unfortunately I was not impressed. The drinks I ordered are not good. The Golden Milk Tea tasted water down without any taste of tea same as the matcha milk tea of which you can barely taste the matcha. Lastly, the strawberry milk tea does not even have tea in it. I will not be coming back. The service was not bad. Staff was courteous. The store was clean and neat. I hope they will improve on the tastes of their products. read more

Went during the grand opening. They were slammed but everyone working had smiles on their faces. The line was out the door and there were lots of people waiting. The line moved along nicely. I had never had real boba drinks so I wasn't sure what to get. I settled on a black peach tea with blueberry boba, crème brûlée latte, Thai tea and a strawberry boba drink. They had buy one get one free promotion for the grand opening. The drinks were all great! They had tons of flavor and the boba and popping boba were all really great! I am glad to have another drink option near me! Will be back to try a new drink soon! read more

Ordered a Thai tea with boba just a few days ago and it was ok. I couldn't really taste the tea flavor and the boba was SO hard. It truly ruined the enjoyment of it all. I should also add that it would be very helpful to add other drink size options as well (they only offer large). My daughter, who is 6, wanted a slushy and was given a large. She of course did not finish and then it ended up being a waste of $$. read more

Ordered a tiger boba didn't taste anything but milk. One person was nice but the rest looked like they were just over their job. I felt like I was being rushed and judged with just my order. This place is not a bad boba shop. I've visited it a couple of times and visited on their grand opening. Customer service is great and never has an issue ordering, the service is fast too. My critique for this boba shop is the taste of the drinks themselves. I've tried their milk teas and fruit teas but I can't seem to get past a chemically/plastic taste in all of their drinks. I'm not sure if it is from the cups the drinks are served in or the drink ingredients themselves. For that reason I don't visit as much anymore. I wonder if anyone else has had this experience with their drinks? Other wise it's still a decent boba shop and they have very clean space. read more

We came in and ordered on the kiosk for 4 different drinks. 50-55 minutes have passed and I have seen a few workers pick up our stack of labeled cups, look at them, and put it down several times. Everyone in the store that came after us have gotten their drinks. Even the 4 drinks that was ordered 45 minutes after ours was made before us. The drinks were alright. I think the store needs a better system of making drinks during a rush, not just selecting ones they prefer to make. The manager guy seems cool though and offered us a drink on the house. read more
