This is my favorite personal go-to Thai place. The owner seems to always be there and she is so friendly and happy to see me and whoever I bring in to the restaurant. She has a great sense of humor and she is very friendly and outgoing. The place is always clean and welcoming. The food is the bast part. I love the lunch specials - they are always perfection. Dinner is great too. The chicken satay and potstickers are perfect. Curry dishes are great. Be careful if you aren't by a fan of spicy. They can bring the heat if you just say "make it spicy". I've never been to Thailand but I like to think this must be exactly what real Thai food tastes like. If I could give more stars I would. read more

The food was fantastic and between the soup, noodles and stir fry, each had it's own unique, mouth watering flavor and spice level. We are in town visiting kids and had a craving for Thai. We saw the great reviews and here we are. The restaurant is clean and the server was very friendly. She gave a few recommendations and I settled in on the special curry; mix of green, red and yellow curries. I asked for a level 7 on spiciness and wow it delivered. This was some of the best curry I've ever had. Excellent. My wife ordered the green curry and asked to have potatoes added. She likes a little spice and asked for a level 3. Next time we're in town she says she'll get a 1 or 2. That aside she loved it. We look forward to coming back on our return trips to visit our kids. Super friendly, quick and tasty. The staff clearly loves it here and enjoys the customers and the relationships they create with regulars. We got the appetizer combo which was fantastic, I love that they add green onions in the cream cheese wontons, a lot of places cut that corner and it makes it hit different when it's there. Kudos. The pad Thai was cooked perfectly with a good portion of chicken and peanut. The golden curry lunch was awesome. The salad was great, I would order that again for sure. This place is awesome. I absolutely recommend this place. First off let's start with the owners, Marina is amazing. Everything we come, she greets us by name with a warm hug. She knows and asks about my kids and family. Super nice ! The food is also killer. I have tried just about everything on the menu, I highly recommend the golden curry and green curries. Looking for a good Thai place in Utah County sometimes feels so fruitless and tonight we finally struck gold with Golden Thai. The service was fast and friendly and they checked in on us a lot but not too much that you were annoyed. The restaurant feels warm and comfortable. The prices are fantastic for Thai. The fresh spring rolls were good, I would have liked more vegetables in them but they were pretty great. Next time we will get shrimp inside. The peanut sauce was fresh and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The red curry (level 6 spice level) was everything that I've been looking for in curry. It was spicy, had tons of vegetables and the chicken was perfectly cooked. I can't wait to try more of their curries now. We also got a mixed veggie stir fry and the sauce was delicious. The chicken was again tender and perfectly cooked. The vegetables were all perfectly cooked in the delicious Ginger garlicky velvety sauce. I'm updating my review of Golden Thai. I've eaten here probably several hundred times in the past. We moved out of state a few years ago and have yet to find anything as good. We got to come back down here for a wedding and stop by. Not only did Marina remember everyone but remembered everybody's orders and what we liked, etc. The food is still amazing. My 15-year-old tried something new and got the drunken noodles. I issued a dad tax and I can verify they were pretty good. My wife tried the pad saw eee (sp?) Again, I used the husband tax, and can verify that it was also really good. You can't go wrong here. Do yourself a favor come either this place. The golden Thai curry is amazing. Yet another solid Thai place. The golden curry had some of the best flavor I've ever had in a curry, just a perfect balance of everything. I'd probably prefer if it was just chicken, instead of the pork and beef in there as well. Pad cashew nut was pretty solid as well, just know that it doesn't come with noodles. This place was pretty cool and well decorated! The interior was well lit and very cozy and inviting! The staff was extremely friendly and smiled and patiently offered suggestions. The coconut shrimp was really delicious and tender. They have great flavor and are perfectly crispy. The sauce was on point too for them! It's pretty hard to mess them up though. I got the massuman curry and it was just as tasty as any other. I got a medium spicy level which they said was a number 5 and that was pretty spicy for me. It was a bit too much really. It was so really good food though and they gave plenty of rice which is really important for me. I like enough rice to soak up all the curry personality. My only complaint is that I didn't notice any nuts in the curry and normally there is at least a few. We also got some fried banana ice cream dessert and it was so good! The fried texture and flavor of the banana was devine and I would recommend you get it for sure! That fried flavor with the ice cream was the perfect combination. I will be back for the desert alone! I'm always trying to explore new flavors and Golden Thai was a great way to expand my taste and boy was it tasty! My friend and I ordered Spring Rolls, Golden Curry, Avocado Curry as well as some Mango Sticky Rice. The Spring Rolls were pretty standard. The spice from the curries was delightful, enough heat that I could feel it but still taste the food. The steamed rice that came with them was plentiful and the perfect consistency. As for the Mango Sticky Rice, the mango and milky syrup was soft and sweet but the rice was so glued together it was a bit hard to serve yourself with a spoon. (Could've been user error on our part) I could definitely see myself visiting Golden Thai when I'm in the area again! read more

We are not sure what happened to the employee, but she saw us, did not ask if we wanted to sit or takeout, did not greet us and decided to talk to the guests that were eating, go to the kitchen for a while and clean the table before asking what we wanted to order. Their curry's were very delicious and I loved their Thai tea and mango sticky rice. However their pad Thai tasted off and I realized they added ketchup in it, which you shouldn't add into pad Thai. The waiters were very polite and fun to talk to, and the decor is beautiful and it does follow the Thai theme. read more
