We finally tried Golden Trebol and it's easily our new go-to in Cottonwood. Service stood out immediately--our waiter was friendly, attentive, and walked us through the menu with photos and thoughtful recommendations. The space is clean, comfortable, and has plenty of parking. Food-wise, everything delivered: the steak sandwich was perfectly cooked with juicy steak, peppers, and onions on fresh bread; the birria pizza (a staff recommendation) was a standout; and the beef tacos were incredibly fresh and well prepared. We fed a family of three for under $80, which is a great value for the quality. They also offer a unique breakfast menu we're excited to try next. A true hidden gem--highly recommended. read more

What a gem! My daughter and I stopped in while we were in town after reading the great reviews, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We stopped by this newly opened restaurant for lunch and were pleasantly surprised! During lunchtime, all Pepsi products are complimentary, which was a nice touch. To start, we shared the aguachile with red sauce--it was spicy, refreshing, and packed with flavor. My husband had the steak taco, which he really enjoyed. I ordered the "eggsadilla," a creative twist on a quesadilla filled with scrambled eggs and cheese. It typically comes with bell peppers, but since I'm not a fan, I asked for a substitution and chose asparagus instead. They were happy to accommodate, and the result was delicious. While visiting Cottonwood, AZ we wanted to find a good lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We found Golden Trebol had high reviews so we thought we would give it a try. My husband had an omelette with beef brisket custom made to order and quite generous with the meat. I wanted to try one of their signature dishes and ordered the Torre de Mariscos with shrimp, scallops, octopus, ahi tuna, ceviche, onions, cucumber, avocado, and mango relish. I don't think it had any octopus that I could see or any ahi tuna but plenty of shrimp and scallops. It was a masterpiece of an entree. It had quite a presentation, was delicious, amazingly fresh and prepared expertly. My husband tasted the dish and loved it as well. The owner waited on us and was so kind and the service was excellent. The owner was of Mexican/Irish decent and he is very creative with menu options. I can't wait to come back and try more of his menu. The restaurant is very clean and has a modern vibe in the decor. I should have taken a photo as the dish was beautiful. I was hesitant to try this new restaurant as Hacienda, the restaurant that was there was my favorite restaurant in town. A friend of mine recently tried it and was impressed. So she an I had lunch there today and it was amazing. I had a delicious pasta dish with red sauce, mushrooms steak and chicken. Very different and very delicious. He did all the right things kept checking back made sure my beverage was refilled checked on was I happy with the food solid work by a good server clearly wanting to do well in his craft . It is basically a low-rent place with some wildly high prices ($35 for a pork chop?). Very poor, depressing decor. Run down premises. Just not an attractive place to have a meal. This would be ok if it were a low-price takeout or a food truck, but it's not. The menu is also odd. It's kind of Mexican, but not really a full Mexican menu. We decided to try the Golden Trebol tonight after reading some really good reviews. We were delighted to be welcomed at the door by one of the owners. I ordered the baby back ribs and my husband ordered the skirt steak and Caesar salad and our meal was absolutely delicious. Everything is cooked from scratch. These are the best ribs I've had in this entire valley. The coleslaw was fresh and delicious. The garlic mashed potatoes were some of the best I've ever had. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his meal.
