Wow, what warm service and incredible food. I had to stop myself from finishing my plate or I'd have ended up in a food coma. Not stuffy or overdone like a lot of Sedona's eateries. Just a very normal, neighborhood Mexican place. Very obviously family owned and operated. Close to being the best chicken enchiladas I've ever had. Just perfect amount of spice, rich flavorful sauce and the chicken was moist. So good. My daughter had shrimp fajitas and had to really work hard just to finish the shrimp. Big plump, perfectly cooked shrimp, and a nice grilled half lemon to squeeze over everything in the tortilla. Very reminiscent of the way seafood used to be served at puerto Nuevo just above Ensenada. Anyway, very fair prices, sweet and genuinely good service. We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! We ordered the posole and a shredded beef chimichanga, and both dishes were absolutely delicious -- full of flavor and clearly made with care. The service was awesome and very attentive; we always felt well taken care of without being rushed. Came to Sedona for couple days. Wanted something quick to eat and didn't have much time.. So we drove by this place and decided to give it try. Only one person eating in the back should have been a hint. Ordered Huevos Rancheros. Well it came with refried beans with 3 chips chips on it.. Two small corn tortillas with eggs on each with some ranchero sauce. All that for low price of $16.95. I guess that's my fault for not really reading the menu. The dish presentation was good. Service was good.. But almost $17 for what was on the plate was ridiculous. Food tasted ok, nothing special. If this dish was around 9 bux I would have felt little better. Arrived around 7:30 pm. There were 10 people at 5 tables. We were advised by female bar tender that they only took cash. We sat ourselves being we saw no one in the dining room. We noticed that all the people seated at the tables had no food. We waited 20 minutes then walked out. Never saw any servers. Do not go there. read more

Last night in Sedona...we decided Mexican sounded like a good dinner option with Margaritas and this was close to our hotel so we could walk. Cute little restaurant. We were early before the crowds and they were setting up for a large party. We were seated quickly by the host/waiter/server/bus boy. I felt bad he was alone as the restaurant was filling up quickly. We told him to take his time, we were in no hurry and were patient people. He seemed relieved. He served our drinks quickly, took our orders, made sure we had Chips & Salsa. My husband and I both ordered Enchilada & Taco Combination plates. Orders came out quickly. Good to know the Chef was on it and the large party came in. Our Waiter/every other position in the restaurant remained attentive and fulfilled needs efficiently throughout the restaurant and rarely showed any stress. I could tell he was trying to keep all the plates spinning and not get flustered. He did a great job and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend and would return. read more

First time in Sedona & on Thanksgiving day. I ordered asada fajita plate & pizole soup to go. I ate the asada and is freaking disgusting! It was dry ass meat. A dirty shirt probably tasted better. I ate at many Mexican restaurants here in Southern Cali and I would expect this Mexican family restaurants to be good but it's dam aweful..Also the pizole soup with pork had no dam flavor at all. We stopped here for dinner on our way out of Sedona. It was decent, staff was friendly. The margarita was weak so I had to order another shot of tequila. It tasted like a premade mix which I seem to be experiencing a lot lately at different restaurants. I had the beef tacos, unfortunately both shells fell apart so I did not get to enjoy the taco. The meat was seasoned well but I was disappointed because I did not get the full experience. It says it is a Cantina. They had drinks but I never saw a bar, it must be in the kitchen. I expected to go in for my standard chicken enchiladas and ended up opting for the pork ribs. These were by far the best prepared pork ribs I've ever come across and the meat cut was incredibly high-quality. These were not your meat scrawny ribs that don't vary very much from chain restaurant to chain restaurant. The amount of meat hanging on the bones was at least 1" to 1.5" thick and I'm not talking about the in between the bones area. They must be making their own barbecue sauce too. It tasted just like the sauce Alton Brown shows you how to make from rib droppings. Really really delicious. The fries that went with it and the vegetables on the side also very tasty, but I'm sorry to say the ribs filled me up and took my full attention. I am a rib snob in case you haven't figured it out in this place really did it right. Hopefully it wasn't just a lucky night and they can do this on a consistent basis. read more

I had seen this place after placing another order from another restaurant that shared the same lot the night before. So after a day of sightseeing in Sedona, I decided to get dinner here. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by Gladis, who was also my server. I pretty much was set on what I wanted and placed my order for a taco salad with shredded beef. It came out pretty quick and the salad and ingredients tasted good and was well seasoned. The only downside of my experience with the food was that the taco shell/bowl was a bit stale. I don't know when it was originally prepared, but it didn't taste good or have a nice crispy texture. But my server, was friendly and professional and checked on me regularly. I went for dinner on July 8th, 2020 and would gladly go again the next time I get to pass through Sedona. COVID-19 Notes: Service was fantastic! Patrons were seated socially distant from other parties, the server wore a facial covering. Hand sanitizer was readily available in a touch-free dispenser. General food/experience: The server was very polite and attentive to all parties. She was also welcoming and amicable. The chips were fresh and hot and not too salty but definitely not bland. The salsa was very flavorful and a little spicy but not so fiery that it scorches your tongue and prevents you from enjoying anything else. It also warmed my soul that the salsa had cilantro. The entree was served fresh, all parts of the meal were excellent, hot, and delicious!! I had the chiles rellenos and would gladly order again!! The refried beans were flavorful and tasty (as opposed to some other places that have very bland and soupy refried beans).
