The only thing I have eaten there was the catfish dinner on a Friday when they have all you can eat catfish and it is the best catfish in ,my opinion, there is I love it wish I could go get it more often. The service is great and they are very friendly. Takes a little time but it's always good hot n fresh. Very nice inside for a little pub and very neat looking. I will definitely go back we have been there a couple times and stopped in another time to listen to Dead Air Dennis sing as he was there playing and singing the first time we went. They are pretty good. Love this little place and the catfish in s the best and they are b in g pieces so you get plenty of food. If you leave hungry it's your own fault, lol. Very much recommend this place and if you like catfish you deffintly need to try this place out. I think you can get the catfish anytime it's all you can eat only on Fridays. Every time I have driven past this place I kick myself for not having tried it yet. So tonight I went for the first time, it was truly an amazing experience. It just looks like a cool place to begin with. The front porch is lined with jockey statues. The building looks like an old Roadhouse tavern. When you enter the front door you are met with an almost room length bar on the left side, barrel and stool seating along the right side. Empty bourbon bottles are the light fixtures hanging from the ceiling. There's a stage in the back of the room, I made a mental note to return when there's live music. Horse country themed art and artifacts adorn the walls, the back of the bar is classic tavern- a wide variety of bourbons and spirits to try and enjoy. The menu is bar food, pizza and some pretty tempting descriptions of burgers and sandwiches. They have appetizers and desserts to frame your meal if you have room for them. I went on a Friday night and Friday is "all you can eat catfish night." That's what I ordered with tater tots and coleslaw. The fish was fresh. Lightly battered and perfectly fried. I had several pieces and they were all good sized and honestly the best catfish I have ever had. The tots were good, the slaw was better than average and we ordered fried mushrooms to start with and they were good too. The owner was there and came by our table several times to ask if we were enjoying ourselves. The servers were his family members. They were all very friendly and genuinely trying their best to make us as comfortable as possible. The restaurant is cash only which you should know before you go, there is an atm machine available but if you're prepared it might be easier. There's plenty of parking in the rear behind the restaurant and in nice weather they have a patio area you could use to enjoy a beverage outdoors. This little pub at the intersection of Paris Pike and Newtown Pike is a delightful gem! I drive by this place all the time and had never been inside until last weekend, when a friend and I agreed to meet here for a light dinner and drink. We were pleasantly surprised at the beautiful, rustic interior, seating, and beautiful bar. I think all the tables and chairs were made of Bourbon barrels. Very cute, although the chairs were a bit wobbly. Next time, we might sit at the bar. The menu is small & simple, but delicious. I wanted the Meatball Parm. sandwich, but they were out at the time so I ordered the grilled ham and cheese with fries. When it arrived, it tasted just like I thought I would -- which was perfect. Fries are amazing. My friend had the smoked turkey and spinach melt, which she said was good, as well. Staff was friendly! There was only a small handful of people at the time we were there (around 5pm on a Saturday). I'm not sure if it gets more crowded, but there is live music some evenings. We may check that out next time. I'm not sure about the "deli" part of this establishment. I didn't really notice any kind of deli, although there was a back part of the building that I didn't go in. I've been wanting to check out Golden's Pub for a while now and am so glad I finally did. The awesome bourbon themed decor had me in the mood for a bourbon cocktail so I ordered the Peach Filly (a peachy bourbon drink)...it was so refreshing and delicious. The food was great too - I ordered a chilly cheese dog with fries and my boyfriend let me taste his cheeseburger...all very good! The staff was friendly and welcoming. As recent arrivals to the Georgetown area we discovered this great bar the first week we moved in and it's becoming a firm favorite. Patrick, the owner is very friendly and is justifiably proud of his business. Great selection of drinks and the menu has a lot of good choices including some home made specials. Try the catfish! (The Cole slaw is fabulous). The atmosphere is really welcoming and the decor is really neat. There is live music and a very friendly crowd. It's cash only but there's an ATM machine. My husband and I visited this out of the way, very cool place while visiting the Kentucky Horse Park. I found it on the Yelp app, which I have come to trust. Our "waiter" who was also the owner, recommended the fish bites (catfish). Well I am not a catfish fan but I like to go with what people say is good. They were delish- light and flaky, no fishy taste and a super light coating, then deep fried. I went overboard with the fried stuff and ordered fries on the side. They were the best fries ever-glad I splurged. Failed to mention that I had a "made from scratch" Bloody Mary. Now, I am a bloody Mary snob and cannot abide those mixes in a bottle that taste like pure chemicals masquerading as tomato juice. It was so good, I had to get the recipe. Hub had a double house bourbon and a burger--typical bar food. But her especially liked the bourbon. And the joint is said to swing on Friday nights with Karaoke and full fish dinners with slaw. read more

Ok, this is a review I'm most definitely willing to make!!! This place is my jam! I'll be a loyal customer forever!! My husband and I went there for the first time today. Charming, clean, friendly people. And the double cheeseburger...holy moley SO SO GOOD!!! Cold beer, full liquor bar, outdoor patio seating. And the owner Patrick was a pleasure to talk to. He was very welcoming and shared the origin of the bar and his mom's yummy watermelon salad! Live music on the weekend. Do I need to say more?!
