Goldies has had a significant change. Ciro Amato Jr., 60, passed away on March 12, 2025, and was the original owner of Goldies. We had heard all sorts of rumours about Goldies and the huge changes made. First, we did not know Ciro had passed; second, we heard the staff was gone; third, the food had gone downhill. After Ciro's death, the establishment closed briefly while the ownership was straightened out. This caused the staff to seek employment elsewhere. The food, which includes their famous jams, is still available and still excellent. While not having the first-name basis we enjoyed in the past, the service was spot on. The food was good. I enjoyed my breakfast. The exterior is brand new, while the inside is the same as it ever was. Rest in Peace, Ciro, and may the Perpetual Light Shine Upon You.

Super cute off the beaten path, local place for breakfast. Service is amazing. All the ladies were so friendly and sweet and made great suggestions. I had the avocado toast which was delicious and loaded with tomatoes, red onion, avocado and feta. My husband had corned beef hash which was homemade and one of the best we've ever tasted. The strawberry jelly and peanut butter that was on our table was also homemade and so good. Definitely will come back next time I'm in Naples!

Chocolate chip 2 Pancakes Fruit Cup

I like the chocolate chip pancakes with the fruit cup it's real good. Goldie's is an absolute gem for breakfast, and the chocolate chip pancakes are on a whole different level--especially with the sauces. The pancakes come out thick, fluffy, and packed with melty chocolate chips, but what really makes them unforgettable is the peanut butter sauce and strawberry sauce. The peanut butter sauce is rich, creamy, and perfectly nutty, adding this warm, indulgent flavor that pairs insanely well with the pancakes. Then the strawberry sauce comes in with a sweet, fruity balance that ties everything together beautifully. Every bite has the perfect mix of fluffy pancake, melted chocolate, and those two sauces working together like magic. It's indulgent without being too much, and you can tell everything is made with care. Goldie's absolutely nails breakfast comfort food, and those chocolate chip pancakes with peanut butter and strawberry sauce are reason enough to keep coming back again and again.

Pretty good burger. For those who like to drink under a thatched roof outside, there is a tikki hut. The establishment's motif is all over the map. I parked near their walkway sign and once I ventured through, it's such a lovely walk up to the restaurant with a bridge over water with fountains and tons of blooms everywhere. Once inside, I was met with a bright, crisp dining room that was clean and comfortable. We started with cocktails and I got their version of a Manhattan, the hog-hattan. It's made with Whistlepig 6 year and came out on the rocks. Manhattans not served up are kinda a pet peeve of mine--but this one? Truly and honestly one of the best Manhattans of my life. The server did not steer me wrong. It was exquisite. For my dinner, my dining companion and I opted for a deal they had that allowed you a starter and main for a reasonable price. I got the kale salad for my starter which was bursting with flavor--chopped kale, brussels sprouts, butternut squash, chevre, and a bright citrus-y vinaigrette--what's not to love? For my main, I got their Mahi Mahi which was also perfectly executed. It was served over a bed of rice and asparagus with chopped mango and a sauce (not sure what kind but balanced the dish perfectly) on top. I would have a hard time not ordering this dish again. It was craveable. Our server was lovely and provided wonderful recommendations for both myself and my dining companion. No notes! Get to it!

I read it was a little tricky to find, because it sits in the middle of a little resort. It's a great walk over a little bridge that crosses over a pond. I asked for her recommendations and I went with the hogfish sandwich. Luckily, she told me I could get it grilled and blackened instead of fried. I could tell they knew how to cook fish because it came out perfectly. Most would probably think it was undercooked, but that's how fish should be cooked. I appreciated this attention to detail and thought it was delicious.

POV: You're finishing your coffee at your favorite breakfast spot and a stranger steals your coffee…read more Okay so. We have been going to The Rooster in Naples for YEARS. Years. Long before it was on food network. The food? Immaculate. Never once had an issue. Today? Today changed everything. Our waitress was an angel, no notes, we love her. We're sitting there, happy, sipping our coffee, not even an hour into the meal, barely finished eating, when suddenly a completely different server materializes out of nowhere and just... puts her hands. On the WHOLE top, every inch of the top half of our coffee cups. Mid sip energy. And starts trying to take it. This was our FIRST ever interaction with this woman. First words exchanged. We say, simply: "we are just going to finish our coffees." She hears us. Denies it. And grabs the cups anyway. I look up like excuse me?? And she looks at me, dead in the eye, and goes: "Well aren't you done?" MA'AM. NO. We were NOT done. We hadn't even finished writing the tip on the receipt which, by the way, she then just SNATCHES off the table. Gone. Like a magic trick nobody asked for, and I certainly didn't order. I say, still not finished. And this is where it gets unhinged, because she goes: "well there's a wait." A wait?? For WHAT. There were FOUR tables open inside. EIGHT tables open outside. Not a single soul waiting for a seat. She said it like she was reading off a script from a restaurant that was actually busy, which plot twist it was not. Then, and I need you to picture this, she starts REACHING ACROSS ME. Full arm extension. Into my personal space. Grabbing plates. Grabbing cutlery. I am frozen. I do not know this woman. She does not know me. And yet here we are, inches apart, over a fork. Questioning if I should ask for her last health test results because we are sharing breaths like a horror movie. My companion, sensing the unhingedness of the woman gets up to go find our ACTUAL waitress, the good one, because at this point all we want in this world is to finish our coffee, leave our 30% tip (we were being SO generous, we do not play like that), and say thank you like normal diners. But does the story end there? IT DOES NOT. Because as my companion is trying to talk to our sweet waitress, coffee cup snatcher strikes again and BUTTS IN. Not once. Multiple times. Interrupting my companion mid-sentence, over and over, like she just could not let the woman finish a single thought. Louder. Meaner. Full attitude, unprompted, uninvited, unwell, unhinged. Our actual waitress, bless her, is apologizing over and over, offers us brand new coffees, offers to reseat us like nothing happened. And she was so genuinely kind about it that we almost said yes. Almost. But we were both so shaken by that point that we just... left. And the WILDEST part? This woman was TRAINING someone. Actively. In real time. Passing the torch. Teaching the next generation how to traumatize brunch customers over a coffee cup. We love The Rooster. But that experience? Left a mark. I'll send you my therapy bill Roosters.
